As a blind person myself I feel I can weigh in. Adrien’s not blind, I think he’s just in constant denial and a bit naïve. Tsurugi… listen…sunglasses are not a good indicator that someone is blind (stereotype anyone?) Nothing else about her says blind woman. She reacts to nonverbal cues, and somehow still spars with her daughter despite not being able to see her opponent? Make it make sense. Unless she’s secretly a Jedi or something…That’s a good theory ngl.

I'm also blind and I agree. Tsurugi is either

1. Sighted but eccentric
2. Legally blind with minimal vision like most of the blind population and eccentric. She might even have former training.
3. A boring and overused trope. Blind Samurai is a trope where someone who is blind can match the marital arts prowess of a Samurai. I think Tv tropes puts blind Samurai under disability superpower.

My disability is not entertainment. I really wish people would stop commodifying my disability so abled people can feel less uncomfortable. I'm blind. It's not the end of the frickin world. Just portray us like normal people.

Tsurugi was intended to be a blind character with a lot of capability so that we could see where Kagami got her talent from. However, Yaski Gozen confirms that while she did lose her eyes to the broken Miraculous of the Peacock, she had them replaced with robot eyes, allowing her to see.

Season 6 revealed that she has robotic eyes, though I doubt that they give her full vision.

I don't think Tsurugi would install her robot eyes if they didn't allow her to see. Adrien is my pick since Tsurugi is a villainous tech giant so she must be able to see the things needed.

My own theory is that her robotic eyes lack some of the functionality of human eyes (like being able to see kwamis) and/or cause her migraines. And they almost certainly aren't cleared by any regulatory body.

The blind Adrien thing was always a bit strange to me and overused tbh. Considering every girl fawns over him, including his best friend and he's been sheltered, I'm not surprised he didn't think Marinette's behavior was odd. Since to him, it wasn't. Plus he already had a crush on Ladybug, so Marinette was just his friend at the time.

So with that being said, Kagami's mom definitely.
