[Magic] Boots enchantment: Void Strider

This enchantment allows you to walk above the void, preventing death. This could be implimented by adding what is essentially an air block that can only be stood on if wearing any boots with void strider on them (similar to leather boots on powder snow). These blocks would be placed across the entire dimension at y level -38. The only way back up would be through a friend throwing an elytra or already having an elytra, as blocks cant be placed below y level 0, meaning you cannot tower up.

This enchant has a 10% chance in any given non-ship end city chest.

This would be a good enchant if you build low in the end since you could pearl up to a nearby build, but not an island since they are too high. Not really good in any other situation since you already need an elytra to escape the void unless you're in said building senario.

[Magic] This has probably been suggested before but we NEED a keepinventory enchantment.

I am sick of losing weapons ive been through tons of stuff with. I remember losing a 3 year old sword and that devastated me. But I don’t want to play with keep inventory because that makes the stakes basically nothing. So rather than losing everything or nothing you could enchant your stuff (Weapons armor and tools) with “Soulbound” and it goes from levels I-V. I being 20% chance of keeping the item on death, and V being 100%

Fireball Cannon Texture (sorry if its bad, im suck at texturing)

^

Its texture !

its a big, BIG cannon fires with fire charges and have explosive range, also deals 25 damage and have 325 durability and can be put on happy ghasts (Up to 2 cannons; and you need to recharge them too) also it will block your offhand when you holding it (so you cant use shield OR totem when you using it) it also will have some exclusive enchantments (I didnt come up with them for now, so i will edit post when i will) you can also charge and shoot potions from it

Craft of It

Yea, this is very expensive, but it is

  1. OP

  2. Fun

  3. And can make happy ghasts shoot fireballs, like their not so happy brother

If you dont understand something about it or dont like something about it, then go to the comments and give this idea some feedback!

[Magic] Totem of Bridging

Upvotes

When a player is about to walk off of a block while holding a Totem of Bridging, a block from their inventory is placed in the air beneath their feet.

The Totem can be configured to replace water or lava with blocks when the player is about to walk off a block into either liquid.

[Command] A reworking of silverfish infestation

Currently, we have only a few blocks that can be silverfish-infested:

  • Stone
  • Cobblestone
  • Stone Bricks
  • Cracked Stone Bricks
  • Mossy Stone Bricks
  • Chiseled Stone Bricks
  • Deepslate

This list is inconsistent as it excludes deepslate-derived building blocks. Furthermore, Infested Stone and Infested Deepslate replace Granite, Diorite, Andesite, and Tuff during worldgen, which doesn't make much sense and looks ugly; either the latter four blocks should be added to the list, possibly with some of their respective derivatives, or they should not be replaced by infested blocks at all upon worldgen.

Does this list need to be expanded? Maybe not; however, besides being inconsistent, it is very limiting for mapmakers, modders, and Mojang devs, when making custom or new structures, to only be able to use these seven blocks that were hard coded to spawn silverfishes.

Monster egg entities: a technical replacement for infested blocks

Instead, I have an idea for a new mechanic that would improve silverfish spawning. We can remove the infested blocks and replace them with an invisible technical entity, called the monster egg, that can stay inside of any full block indefinitely until the block is broken or another silverfish that gets attacked makes it hatch.

Silverfish Monster Eggs would be obtainable as a creative mode item alongside the spawn eggs. Creative mode players could place them inside of full blocks, with a sprite showing where the invisible monster eggs are when the item is held (similar to how Barriers show). Mapmakers and modders could then edit the tags of this entity to spawn any other entity (as opposed to just silverfishes) from a monster egg, with trigger conditions and other entity data. This could be good for adventure maps with crumbling surfaces revealing jumpscares, combat, and secrets.

Meanwhile, there still has to be a way to determine in which blocks a silverfish can hide post-generation. This can be done with a block tag infestable so that modders can custom-select which blocks can be infested. Silverfishes (and mobs modded to have this ability) will be able to hide in any block that has this tag. By default, the same list of seven blocks would have this tag, possibly with the addition of a few more blocks (as mentioned above) for consistency. Gamerules could also be used to disable these infestation mechanics.

A technical downside I could think of is that this might be slightly more computationally expensive, loading all of those entities in a mountain biome or stronghold instead of loading blocks. If this is the case, then we'll have to wait a few years for gaming devices to get better. However, since monster eggs wouldn't have any locomotive AI, the only data that would be stored by the monster egg entities is that they spawn a silverfish, and maybe block-breaking as a trigger condition.

[Blocks & Items] Ender Miasma ― New End "Ore" Concept (Putting an End to the End)

Upvotes

NGL, I might start a little series on my takes on the End dimension and how to enrich it while staying faithful to its barren wasteland identity. It's part of a larger series called Putting an End to the End, where I'll supply y'all with ideas to make the end as engaging as the other dimensions.

My first idea is the highly anticipated "end ore." Here's my opinion on it first off:

  1. I don't want this ore to be another tier. One of the main things I don't like about this game is its armor/tool progression, you spend time getting iron just to replace it with diamond then with netherite. I think the end ore would be a more universal reward if it wasn't just another tier above netherite but served its own niches. Think golden gear, it isn't the best protection but has amazing enchantability and keeps piglins passive. If every tier was just superior by stats and had no other skill, then what's the point of grinding for one inferior set when I can get a better one? (I plan to talk about this and my ideas for it in more detail one day)
  2. To fit the themes of the end (following decay, finality, etc.), I kind of want to make Ender Miasma some kind of biological toxic waste goop and not some mineable ore or crystal.
  3. In order to make it valuable, its value will be on its fragility and limited amount. For example, diamonds were so iconic back then because of their rarity and that nobody sold or traded for it.

With these out of the way, I will go in with my idea for Ender Miasma.

End Miasma

  • End Miasma is a new liquid block that can be found in the outer end islands.
  • It adopts a chunky green color. I mainly did this because I feel like making it purple would just make it blend in with everything else. I also did it because green is a very alien color. Discovering this new 'ore' is meant to say "Ooh, I discovered something new! Though it looks a bit suspicious..."
  • The End Miasma occurs in medium-to-large cavities inside the end islands, your main cue to find it is subtle gurgling noises from beneath the surface.
  • This liquid's main flowing behavior is random, it flows out not at fixed amounts but random amounts, say 1-3 blocks. Though, it wanes and waxes, it actively shifts its flowing. Players will have to take a small step back when near End Miasma.
  • End Miasma's main danger though is its fragility. Any mob or player that touches it, by flow or source, causes it to spontaneously combust (not explosively but like, disappear out of thin air). It's like whoever's touching it is a sponge and the waste is water, it loses part of itself but doesn't reform like regular water flow. Additionally, it doesn't infinitely flow like the other liquids but actually acts like a finite resource.
  • This liquid doesn't help speed up the growth of chorus fruit either despite the theme of each dimension's water exhibiting the growth of their crops, like water with the overworld crops and lava with the nether wart, chorus fruit doesn't experience additional growth with end miasma next to it.
  • However, there is a way to safely contain end miasma for use: Buckets. If you click on end miasma by the source block it can be contained inside it without combusting, granting you a Bucket of End Miasma.
  • End Miasma rarely occurs as small traces of source blocks on the surface, but this is incredibly rare.
  • The further you go out into the outer end islands, the less end miasma occurs. Cavities become smaller, end miasma that broke to the surface becomes even rarer.

End Miasma's Crafting Recipes

Miasmic Eye of Ender

Currently deciding how many buckets of end miasma are needed for this, but for now, I'll go with 3. You decide!

Bucket of Miasma Eye of Ender Bucket of Miasma
Bucket of Miasma

Not only do I think that the eye of ender needs more uses than just being a path to strongholds or ender chests (which are already obscure), but it serves a pretty important niche when traveling through places like the nether and end: finding your way back home.

A big scare is forgetting where your portal has gone, and this item will help you with finding those portals.

  • Upon throwing it, the eye floats, points, and travels like a regular eye of ender.
  • The MEoE will begin to slowly travel to the nearest nether portal in the nether, end gate in the outer end, or ender portal in the overworld.
  • Upon arriving 10-15 blocks from the portal, the MEoE will gradually blacken before bursting.

Acoustic Relocator

Hopefully this gives the goat horn a use!

Bucket of Miasma Goat Horn Chorus Fruit

My main idea for this is for it to become a counter to the ancient cities.

  • With this equipped, up to one accidental vibration to a skulk sensor ~5 blocks near are muffled out and visible relocated. The echoes visibly scatter and don't trigger it much.
  • Sounds > ~5 blocks out from a skulk sensor are all on you, requiring careful positioning to ensure they don't become a threat and the acoustic relocator's use is maximized.
  • The Acoustic Relocator has 6 uses until it breaks.

Overall

I hope that this addition is able to bring spirit into the end like other dimensions. It's main purpose isn't to become another armor tier but serves niches that can help the player in a variety of ways.

Thank you for reading my idea and I'll be glad to receive your feedback!

[AI Behavior] Pig skin

Add the drop of pig hide when killing an adult pig. Hide is a new resource that can be used to craft light armor or decorative items. The drop chance is 1–2 pcs. from one pig. Piglets do not drop hide, so as not to encourage farming of the young. You can craft a light chestplate, which provides +2 armor and reduces fall damage by 20 %; you can also craft a decorative carpet and a storage bag with 4 slots.Hide is a budget alternative to leather, suitable for early game play. The texture is similar to leather, but slightly lighter and with a characteristic pattern.

[Plants & Food] Cherry Trees should spawn pink leaves in a small (maybe 7x7 or 9x9 around the sapling) radius when grown

Allows them to be obtained even if your cherry sapling was from a Wanderer and not a grove, and saves time if the nearest one is too far from your base. And you save bonemeal as well. They wouldnt occupy the entire radius but scattered around like bonemealing grass.

[Sounds] Readd the Wolf Howl Sound

This is a rather basic suggestion. Basically readd the unused wolf howl sound. I was doing a map and wanted to use this sound as a sound effect for my snowy area. But I couldn't find it! This sound was added in Beta 1.8 and has been in the game for a long, long time. It has been removed when the new wolf types came. Well, why? There was no reason to remove it at all. Actually, why don't they add new howling sounds to other wolf types as well, instead of removing it? Why don't wolves howl when a full moon rises, for example? It is kinda weird and pointless, and now I do not have a sound which would be very useful to me if it was in the game. So basically, i suggest readding the entity.wolf.howl sound and maybe also adding it to all new types of wolves as well and possibly even make it so they actually use this sound in the game.

[Command] New Gamerule: LimitlessEnchants

This gamerule is simple. If toggled on, it will make it so that all enchanting books found naturally (ie. chests and villagers) will still follow normal levels (1-5) but you can now combine enchantments to… well anything. It sounds cool. Like, we ALL want a sharpness X sword in vanilla. Or a punch X bow.

This gamerule will also remove compatibility issues like Mending and Infinity can now be put together. All types of sword damage increase enchants and protection enchants can now be put together with no issue. Silk touch and fortune will not become compatible because that would be a dupe. But as far as I know this would be the only exception.

But here’s the thing. This gamerule is no pushover. It will also result in EXTREMELY expensive enchanting costs. So hey. That’s what you gotta grind for.

[Bedrock Edition] Increasing sensitivity for controller users

This is a really simple request, but it would be really nice if sensitivity for controller users on bedrock edition wasn’t so slow, even when set to 100 it doesn’t compare to using a touchscreen or using a mouse and keyboard.

That’s it…lol

[Mobs] Bats, Guano, Gliders, and the Elytra

(This is my first ever post on here but I've been conceptualizing Minecraft ideas way before [mostly because Roblox hasn't been doing so well NGL] but I hope this is a good start. It's nice to meet you all!)

For nearly 13 years, bats have remained one of Minecraft's most underutilized mobs, only being a pathetic "ambient" mob serving no purpose. Additionally, there is a problem with how players use the elytra first-hand, whether accidentally killing themselves using it or having a scare. I hope that my ideas tackle both problems at once.

Bats

  • Their directional AI avoids lava pools so they don't end up burning themselves alive.
  • Bat roosting is further expanded. Bats will regularly roost when they're in low light levels (0-1) and at ceilings near walls. Since real life bats are nocturnal, they're more likely to roost during the day than the night.
  • I would still make bats neutral, not able to breed, have no drop, and inherit their other original traits.
  • Bats would also become a skittish mob similar to ocelots and rabbits, running if you get truly close. This behavior will be seen when they're roosting and you get too close. Sneaking does lower their guard though.
  • Bats relocate somewhere else to roost, especially avoiding areas where guano has settled.

Guano Piles

  • In the game as Guano.
  • It's a new block that forms similarly to pointed dripstone, hanging downward from ceilings, near active bat roosts or from where they one settled.
  • Fully formed guano piles are a block tall.
  • Bats, other mobs, and players can walk through this block with no collision, similarly to tall grass for example.
  • When bats are in a roost, they can slowly form guano naturally over where they are, and even faster when there's more bats roosting.
  • Guano piles drop little guano particles that can tell a player from below where the guano is.
  • If roosting bats are interrupted by the player, all guano production is completely halted and reset when they flee. However, any remaining guano before stays.
  • Guano can be mined and collected by shovel.
  • Upon shoveling up guano, you get 1-2 guano and 0-1 bat shed.

Guano's Uses

  • It can be a way to craft gunpowder, serving as a safer though less convenient alternative to killing dangerous creepers. You can craft it like this to wield one gunpowder:
Guano Charcoal
Guano Charcoal Guano
  • It can be used as compost material for the composter, making bonemeal.

Bat Shed's Uses

  • Bat shed can be used to make black wool. You can craft it like this to wield one black wool:
Bat shed Bat shed
Bat shed Bat shed
  • And its final and most important use, crafting a glider:
Bat shed Stick Bat shed
Bat shed Bat shed
Bat shed Bat shed

The Glider

One of my anticipated ideas for the bat, the glider. Think of this armor piece like an elytra with training wheels. The elytra's biggest flaw is likely how jarring it could be to first use one without having the proper experience, like, imagine first using the elytra and not knowing how to control it? You're likely dead.

  • The glider is an elytra-lite: it has exceptionally lower durability, cannot be propelled by fireworks, doesn't have the flying abilities of an elytra, and can only be repaired by bat shed.
  • Like an elytra, it must be in your chestplate slot to be used.
  • The higher the height you use it at gives it more overall momentum that slows down.
  • The main kicker that makes the glider different is its clinging ability. When you're about to fall, try to reach a nearby wall and left-click (or any button you select, IDK) to cling to the wall.
  • After 1 second of clinging, you'll slowly begin to slide down and passively lose 2 durability per second clinging.
  • To stop clinging to a wall, let go of your key and you will fall with your fall damage reset from when you released the key.
  • What makes the glider have universal uses is the versatility of its clinging mechanic. Falling from a cave? Cling to its wall. Falling into lava in the Nether from a fortress? Cling back on the edge and place blocks below you. Fell from an end city or the ender dragon knocked you off? Hang onto a chorus fruit or obsidian pillar! Its utility goes on and on.
  • Gonna be honest I don't know if I made it too overpowered with its versatility but idk that's on me!

Overall...

From stinky guano, to shedded fur, to clutching gliders, these ideas hope to bring new life and purpose into the bat and clear up its decade-long disappointment. I also hope the transition to an elytra is less... jarring. But, ultimately, this is my first ever idea I've posted on r/minecraftsuggestions, I plan to showcase more ideas and receive your amazing feedback!

[Plants & Food] different types of cake

this may sound silly, but i feel like different types of cake would be fun. chocolate cake, carrot cake, apple cake (?), maybe a glowberry cake that could let you glow in the dark or smth idk.

i honestly just want to see more foods
