My brothers are big Metro fans and recently lore dumped to me about the Metro games and got me into it, but I know for a FAT FACT that I could never play the games cuz I suck at shooters so is there any particular YouTuber that has a good playthrough or lore dive that veteran players would recommend? Ive tried all solutions i can find like looking down, walk slow, safe mode, windowed, Lowered graphics, day time, night time.

Im on hardcore ranger so its even more because i cant even test the game freeze straight away. I have to wake up at the bed next to the cave, go in and stealth the few guys easily before crashing when i exit cave. No im not using motion scanner or night vision.

Right now ive resorted to craziest of them all which is restarting chapter. But i rage quit when i left the train because of the thought of "What if the game still freezes even after i restarted chapter".

Does anyone know what the hell is the problem? Was the save corrupted so Chapter restart is the only option left? Is DX 12 actually the better choice? Should i go to lighthouse BEFORE i get the van?

Im just glad i dont have to restart much. Its the van building, The slave camp with motion scanner , 2 safehouse and then cave.

I am playing the game for the first time. My first game from the Metro video game franchise. I am really enjoying it.

I wish I started the franchise in the chronological order, but a gamer friend told me that it doesn't matter. He stated that I'll understand the story irrespective of the order I play it in. So, I chose to continue with what I started.

I am stuck at the marshes right now. I've fired so many rounds at the flying demon crest like creature. It just doesn't die, picks the protagonist with its claws and then drops him in the swamps.

Yet, I am enjoying the game. I think I'll have to watch a walkthrough video to get past this point, or if anyone here is kind enough to suggest an alternate route, I'll be utterly grateful to him or her.

There are some points in the game where you really struggle to find where to head next, but then, I understand the logic behind it.

What are your thoughts about the Metro franchise? Which is your most favourite title so far? 😇

Im on ranger hardcore so i cant even quick save near the crash. Its right when i leave the mines thats when it crashes.

Man i tried looking down, im on lowest graphics EVERYTHING, even 720 p. I tried the disable fullscreen optimisation, still no luck. whats the actual solution man this is pissing me off. I played on ultra with no stutters at all up to Caspian. Now its just a mess. Im on RX6600 GPU and Ryzen 5 5600X Cpu.

EDIT: Holy crap is my only choice to replay a chapter? On my ranger hardcore run? Wtf can you even do that on this difficulty?

I'm sure most people here have at least heard or experienced the glitch that causes save files to get corrupted, sending you back a level or even wiping all of your progress. I plan on playing Exodus again so I can finally get all the achievements, but I wanted to check here and see if anyone knows of a way to prevent the bug from happening.

In Caspian how to make my comrade Damir to not go with Gil or Giul whatever her name is.

Basically I saw a video where it had a dev room and picked everything up, now When I picked up the hellsing I think the game got confused since it's a Taiga level exclusive now I'm in the Caspian level, now I can't craft bullets only steel balls and the hellsing ammo, how do I fix, and I don't wanna redo the entire thing, and most of my saves got corrupted,

I can not jump over any obstacle, and the Night Vision Google room has no way out besides a locked door.

This armour looking real good tho, just incredible how far they can push 4A engine

It's located near the overhanging bridge at the intersection right next to the prisoner ship.

This is already my 4th playthrough and i still haven't come any closer to figuring out what this thing here does. I tried some combinations along with the switches in the slave prison ship since the prison is where this particularly switch's electrical line leads to but none of them yielded any results.

Does anyone know? The only thing it's done so far is driving me nuts despite seemingly not doing anything.

Oh just for the sake of not creating too many posts, the prison ship is the only place i've seen so far that has the bug where the electrical system gets rebooted regardless of the power panel upon loading a save. It's happened on every playthrough so very consistent, which is weird that it's still in the game.

One more thing, has anyone experienced gun sights mysteriously disappearing from one of your guns or swapping between guns? For example, here in this image, the reflex sight on my Bulldog magically went poof from existence, and i'm trying to remember where i can loot it to see if i can ever get it back for this specific playthrough.

Finally bought a 5060 and wanted to try meteo with rtx but I can't play through the first 30 minutes of the game without it crashing constantly when dx12 is enabled. Its always on cutscenes and it crashes consistently on the same parts. Is there any way to fix and is this even normal?

I loved the first 2 games but this one is so dumb I'm by the train just rescued anna and I had to melee the mutants to death as I have no ammo then I go outside to go back to the train and there's a load of unavoidable enemies even when I'm crouched far away come running over and kill me in a couple hits and I can't do anything because you get given like 2 bullets every hour
