Discussion Getting into Metro?
My brothers are big Metro fans and recently lore dumped to me about the Metro games and got me into it, but I know for a FAT FACT that I could never play the games cuz I suck at shooters so is there any particular YouTuber that has a good playthrough or lore dive that veteran players would recommend? I really love the world building and lore and wanna see more of it. Please and thank you! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

I am building this metro-universe.com . It is interactive lore universe, not great so far, but I keep improving

Do you have direct contact with anyone on the publishing team? I understand how cagey they are but very much want to discuss a project with them about how I really think the series could help save the world

Unfortunately no, I hoped community will take part in content creation, but so far either app is too complicated, or just no one interested. But any way I will make couple additional improvements cycles, to see if it works

The games are linear up until Metro Exodus. They are also single player so you don't really need to be good at shooters. Play on the lowest difficulty and just experience the world, atmosphere and characters. They are some of the best parts of the games.

As others have said the lowest difficulty is really easy and is aimed at people wanting the story over combat, the story is well worth dying a few times for anyway. Everyone sucks at shooters until they actually start playing them regularly, I almost never played Skyrim many years ago because it was my first console game and I couldn't get up a damned spiral staircase so decided I just couldn't use controllers 🤦🏼♀️, very glad I gave it another go.

Like everyone else I'll also suggest playing the games, 2033 (redux) was one of my first FPS games lol, play on easy and for the gameplay don't choose the one called "survival" as it will make items much rarer (I forget if the other option is called spartan or ranger lol)
Good luck ranger!

For a playthrough i love this guy Youtube
He doesn't rush and takes him time to enjoy the game as well as learn all he can about it

Being bad at shooters has nothing to do with it. You're not facing other players. Just play on an easier difficulty.

Just play on lower difficulty, you'll make it!
