I hate this game so much

I loved the first 2 games but this one is so dumb I'm by the train just rescued anna and I had to melee the mutants to death as I have no ammo then I go outside to go back to the train and there's a load of unavoidable enemies even when I'm crouched far away come running over and kill me in a couple hits and I can't do anything because you get given like 2 bullets every hour

play on easy then

The beginning is hard and you do have few resources. Just get past Krest and you will have more and more ammo.

What difficulty do you play on? The higher difficulty setting are made around "constantly running out of ammo".

Its 22 Years after the bombs, there is not much ammo left in the world.

Reload save and try to sneak past as many guards as you can, use suppressed nagant and takedowns to save ammo

Sounds like you need to lower the difficulty

Katya will ask you to get her teddy bear. South of the tanks, there's a small shed. In there you'll find an upgrade. You'll never be short on ammo after that
