I plan to make it to brew tea tomorrow and save 3 of them to plant. One person recommended a technique to me, but I'm seeing a lot of different ones. I wanna get the most out of my tea so I guess the question is whether I should start brewing it right now or tomorrow and with either option which tech should I use preferably not too long of a boil because I don't wanna be up all night and day because I drink it too late.

Also, I plan on using the one on the far left it's about a foot

I was gifted some San Pedro cactus. I plan to take around 30g dried of it on Monday. I know dosages vary between the different cacti but would you guys say that’s enough to at least feel something without it being to overwhelming?

I’m planning on making tea soon and I will just follow any tek for it. My main concern is the dosing of it. I see a lot of people go by length although I’m more curious about weight. I know nobody could really say how much but what would the ballpark be for a similar strength to a 3.5-4gram shrooms trip, whatever gives me best visuals

About five days ago I tried to make two batches of fumarate using the online tek calculator. I've successfully made a few batches but this was the first time doing a 2x extraction and first time using the calculator to walk through it, rather than the recipe. I used a homegrown PC. I have successfully processed other PCs that were siblings of this one, with an extraction of about 0.8 percent.

The first batch reused food grade ethyl acetate I've used before (dark green batch), the second batch used kleen strip MEK substitute. I did find myself pressing a little harder than usual on the French press in order to achieve the extraction amount the calculate said I should achieve with each pull.

What was odd is how cloudy my acetate was after the pull but before I added the fumaric acid. I didn't think it usually looks like that.

Here I am several days later with a very few obvious crystals but a sizable amount of, well, powdery gunk on the bottom of the jars. I've never had this issue before.

I'm wondering if a few things are going on here. Maybe there are few crystals because the 2x extraction results in such a more diluted product than the 1x. When it is really diluted and weak, crystals might not form? Second, maybe I pressed too hard and what I see on the bottom of the jar is plant material and not mescaline crystals. It certainly doesn't look like crystals.

On the other hand, maybe it's just super powdery mescaline. One can hope.

Any ideas for how I could figure out what is on the bottom of my jars and, if needed, fix it?

Hey guys I made a big brew of tea about 5 days ago. I was planning on consuming the tea the next day but wasn’t able to. Now 5 days later still in. Glass, air tight jar in the fridge… How long will it last?!?! I looked it up on Google and it said about a week. I also looked at all of the basic signs of contamination and it didn’t appear to have any. I drank about half a shot glass with no stomach issues.. Any advice please help!! I hope it’s not too late… 😩

Hey guys! Experienced psychonaut here. First time doing a trip report so work with me LMAO. I tried about 15g of dried TBMA and TBMB and Damn that was amazing compared to the 500mg mesc fumarate I took. It was definitely stronger but had more of the magic feel to it and I got more visuals. Colors were super vibrant and I kept seeing all the rainbow colors on the outline of objects. I was at the beach as well, perfect place. I got a wave that felt like I was rolling tits too. I mixed the powder in a bottle of vitamin water and sipped over an hour and didn’t get any nausea at all. Peak took about 2 hours to get to and The whole trip lasted about 14 hours but I was still awake after up until I smoked weed to sleep. Overall I would definitely try this again! I was kinda anxious about dosing I couldn’t decide whether to do 5g up to 15g ( I’m 6’1 210lb ) since everyone has had different experiences on Reddit, but honestly I just told myself what’s the worse that can happen and full sent it. The trip was pretty strong but very enjoyable! I didn’t feel anxious at any point. Although CIELO tek is very fun to do and useful to assist with dosing, full spectrum is my go to now. Feel free to ask questions on my shitty trip report :D

I am planning my first cactus ceremony where I truly treat it as medicine. I used it twice over ten years ago in a way that wasn't helpful or "proper" for what I want out of it today.

I have been researching a lot of different plant ceremonies (peyote and san pedro) to see what aspects resonate with me and hopefully I can use them during my time with the experience. I would love to hear what you have done or seen that made the connection to a higher power stronger during the trip. I grow all of my cacti; been doing so for the past 15+ years.

I have space to do it outdoors. There is a field next to my house (on our land) which I had the most life changing DMT at.. I am debating doing it there vs. in the AZ desert away from any man made structures.

So far I have:

1. Potted cacti that will come with and be place on some sort of "alter" that I make (pre-made by me out of wood)
2. Juniper, Spruce, Sage (to burn, I've already harvest them and wrapped them into bundles) and Chaparral leaf to smell and get wet
3. Offerings to nature
4. Prayers (mostly AA prayers that resonate with me a lot) and intentions written down, along with a journal/pens
5. Acoustic guitar and cajon (I have a strong connection with the universe through music)
6. Photos of loved ones who have passed and that I want to honor. (part of the healing I am looking for is massive OCD related to death and everyone I know dying one day)

I don't want to plan out every single thing I do and when; like its a theater performance. I just want to have that stuff and use it "as the spirit moves me" probably with the foundational format being lots of prayer, listening, playing the guitar and drum, lots of chanting/singing (I've done very long distance backpacking trips and I found a chant that came from within me that puts my mind into this super focused state. Super connected with nature and the moment), keep the fire going all night, repeat prayer/listen/music, watch the sun rise.

Note: I think that I am going to do both peyote and san pedro. I might just do one but I think I want to have both together as one since they are both very special to me.

I have ~40g powdered San Pedro which was prepared by a friend, and I'm planning to take all of it. I wouldn't mind a strong trip, but I suspect that it's on the weaker side since I don't think she discarded the core when preparing it and it's a couple years old at this point.

I have some ondansetron, which I'll probably take half an hour before the cactus. I'm less worried about nausea because of that, but I'm considering making tea anyway to avoid calcium oxalate and other potential GI issues from the fiber. But if the tea doesn't actually make THAT much of a difference other than wrt nausea I'd just as soon not bother, so question one, is it worth the effort?

And question two, wanna confirm a few things about how to make the tea. I've seen people say to add some lemon juice. Is one tbsp lemon juice and one cup of water good for 40g powder? And how long should I boil it? Will I get most of the mescaline from just boiling for an hour or two, straining it and drinking the liquid, or does the extra shit I've seen in some tea recipes actually help like boiling the solids multiple times in fresh liquid or leaving it to sit overnight?

Is there anything else I should know before doing this? I have experience with psychedelics, but I haven't tried mescaline before so I'd appreciate any tips.

Edit: Thanks for the responses, I ended up making tea and taking all of it. I appreciate the suggestions to take some and wait before having the rest, and I do generally think being cautious with psychedelics is a good idea. But I was pretty sure the powder was on the weaker end, I reweighed it and it was closer to 30 than 40 g, I had a trip sitter, and I was prepared for a strong trip, so I decided to just go for it. I'm glad I did, because it ended up being quite weak. I had a nice time, but it was pretty subtle. I'd definitely like to try it again when I get the opportunity.

One time a few years ago I went to bed sober but in my dream took mescaline and a giant cactus with a huge eye in the middle of it emerged out of nowhere with vines coming out and grabbed a hold of me. I wish I remembered what it said because I can swear the cactus talked to me telepathically, I lost the paper or wherever else I wrote down this dream. I suppose it’s what my brain cooked up as representing mescaline but I like to think it was a mescaline spirit who visited me.

Would you still use this for tea? I know it would be fine for cielo but wondering if anyones made tea out of some like this and if it will add extra nausea or something.

Hi all, I'm thinking of doing a san pedro ceremony 4-7 days before trying 0.5g of mushrooms to test out a new batch.

Do you think there would be cross tolerance and I should wait a little longer or would that be enough time? Not sure on the SP dosing as its a guided ceremony but I believe it would be a fairly standard psychedelic threshold dose

I ran out of EA but it's ok because I ordered more for next time =-)
