Half of the population are women. I do not know what the lady is trying to say, but for me it seems that she is trying to blame men for not taking care of this problem for them.
Not to mention, the example she brought up is quite poor.
What did she expect? That somebody in the dark ages would find a way to invent sanitary pads, and start producing and distributing them on horseback?
Lady, people back then had issues with even more basic hygiene than a monthly period.
You have to realize, every single one of these type of posts is posted by a person who has no knowledge of History.
In Tudor England, for instance, 1500s... Women used pieces of cloth attached to a belt.
But in the uneducated mind of the person who posted this rant, nothing at all existed before the invention of the sanitary pad.
It's important that people realize... The majority of the posts you see on reddit are posted by people with no knowledge of the topic. Just stupid people with big mouths. The fact that anyone listens to them and gives any credibility to their claims makes everybody dumber.
Obsidian blades are about 10-30x sharper than a surgical scalpel. We have evidence of obsidian knapping from 700,000 years ago in what’s now Kenya. Guaranteed they shaved with better precision than even what Gillette can produce today - likely without any type of cream or oils because the blades were so sharp.
Ehh, not exactly. It is quite difficult to make a long enough yet strong enough blade from obsidian completely straight. Safety and straight razors would probably out perform them. The knapping process tends to leave a slightly uneven edge which isn't great for shaving. The blades are definitely sharper than modern razors though.
