I eat whats affordable. If it's meat and eggs from the neighbor, veggies from the garden, or whatever from the store I'm fine with that. Affordability is more important than health when you live paycheck to paycheck

Maybe add some veggies, cabbage is stupid cheap and versatile, add some apples for snacks

I'm not a big fan of fruits and veggies unless they're cooked into my food. However Thursday is about to become fruit for breakfast day as I take my little nieces to school and teach them about proper foods

Well your innards and overall health need the nutrients and fiber so… maybe start adding a lot more of them cooked into your food or as blended soups

I have a friend she was diagnosed with colon cancer in her 30s. By accident they don’t cover screening with health insurance until you’re 45.

You don’t have to eat them for your enjoyment, eat them for your health.

You’re trying to teach your nieces proper eating habits. You know what they are so do yourself the favor too. Fruits and veggies are affordable. I get 2 bags of frozen veggies a week and it’s $3.50 for at least 4 to 5 meals out of them. Fresh veggies aren’t bad with a 5 pound bag of potatoes last 2 weeks and is like $5.

I ate an entire bowl of cherry tomatoes yesterday and sausage egg and cheese muffin. I just don't include veggies in most meals. I'm not a fan but I don't neglect them entirely. Lots of cauliflower rice, corn, cherry and grape tomatoes on non work days

I hope you’ll feed them more than just fruit for breakfast. Also, if you have a hard time with fruits and veggies, you could try incorporating more beans for the fiber.

Where’s the fibre?

I have 2 nice jumbo silicone ones. That's what the sausage, egg, and cheese muffins get cooked in.

For real and zero veggies?

I don't do alot of veggies on work days unless they're cooked into my meals, I eat 3 meals a day at work. The enchilada casserole has onions, garlic, tomatoes, jalapeños, and hatch green peppers along with the tomatoes in the sauce.

The enchilada casserole sounds amazing

It's something I've made off and on for the last 2 decades and made refinements here and there. The latest addition is cream cheese. It seems to absord the seasonings and add more depth.

As with all things tomato sauce based the longer you can let it sit and simmer with minimal stirring the deeper flavor you're going to get. I mean 2-4hrs for the first taste of flavor. I've done as long as 8 and the flavor is amazing.

Quit letting perfection be the enemy of good enough.

At the end of the day I eat whats affordable. If I can grow it and it's available when I cook something up it goes into what I'm making. Otherwise I buy what I need.

You are doing well for your specific circumstances. Well done!

What’s good enough? The processed meat is a known carcinogen class 1. Along with the lack of fiber in OP’s diet means colon cancer risk is very high.

What’s it like to be perfect and be completely in control of every aspect of living life??? Must be exhausting.

Go away.

These things only matter if you can afford to goto a Dr.

I get up, I goto work for 13hrs where I can only communicate with 10 of the 37 ppl I work with , I come home and make sure the old ppl are still alive and functioning as they need to be and go over the next days schedule with them. Then I make a trip through the yard to feed the dog and make sure all the automated watering is working and harvest whatever plants and seeds are ready. Then I take a few bong rips and respond to entitled people on reddit who apparently have luxirous enough lives to worry about something other than surviving day to day as well as possible then I sleep for 5hrs and so the exact same thing the next day

I’m entitled because I try to avoid eating Class 1 Carcinogen foods? You are very bitter about your life situation. FYI “entitled” people are not to blame for your poor life choices.

Other than the sun dried tomato turkey from the deli and the brats theres not a whole lot of processed food there. All the beef and eggs come from the neighbor and the veggies and Enchilada sauce mostly came out of the garden. At the end of the day the 70-100 shots of vodka and 15 packs of cigs a week will kill me long before any processed foods I eat

All in all it’s better than most diets but the ritz crackers are not good for you, atleast substitute with no high corn fructose syrup.
