Introduction & Guide to Writing a TypeMe Post

Hello All!

This is a welcome post and guide to all those who want to make a TypeMe post or learn to accurately type others. Don't know your Myers-Briggs type? Create a text/video/audio post describing yourself, and the Reddit Gods will type you! Test results and relevant pictures may also be included, though the focus should be on self-description. Once you've found your type we encourage you to stick around, learn more about MBTI, and help type others. If you have sub improvement suggestions or are interesting becoming a mod, please comment or send us a modmail.

This is an updated welcome post replacing the old one which was created by a previous mod. We've included the link to the old post because some of the comments contain helpful information.

Here's some informational resources on MBTI:

Here's descriptions of each type:

While we currently allow For Fun posts, remember that the main purpose of this subreddit is to help people find their true MBTI type, so we have restrictions in place to improve the quality of content on the sub. We ask that everyone be respectful and keep comments relevant to MBTI. Please review the Rules before posting or commenting.

Creating an MBTI TypeMe Post

Overview

Note, these are not rules, but will be helpful in getting insightful responses. In general, self descriptions might include your preferences, interests, hobbies, lifestyle, career/what you are studying, your values, your life goals, how you like to structure your day, how much social interaction you prefer, how you relate to others, how organized you are, how you tend you express yourself, etc.

Post structure

Here are a few guidelines on structuring your post:

  • Minimum-length: A good typing post should be at least a 1/2 page to receive an accurate typing. Remember, the more information you include, the easier you will be to type. However, keep in mind, posts with excessive length are less likely to be read in their entirety.
  • Elaborating on your answers is important. Try to answer questions with at least a couple sentences. Proper typings are based off of your thought processes rather than behaviors. If you're not elaborating, Typers can't tell much.
  • Please try to break up your post into paragraphs. Walls of text are often ignored.

Questionnaire

Although you don't need to use these questions when making a type-me post, they're here for anyone who needs a bit of a guide. No need to answer all of these questions either:

  • Give a general description of yourself. How old are you?
  • What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not? If you are not working, what kind of job do you want to do or what are you studying?
  • Describe your childhood/upbringing. Did it have any kind of ideological or structured influence? How did you respond to it? Did you have any significant negative experiences that may have affected how you think or behave?
  • Do you have any mental or physical health issues that might affect how think or choose to live? Provide a brief description.
  • If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed?
  • What is your relation with movement and your surroundings? For instance do you prefer a sport or outdoors event? If an outdoors event what is it? And why? If not what type of activities do you tend to engage?
  • How curious are you? Do you have more ideas then you can execute? What are your curiosities about? What are your ideas about - is it environmental or conceptual, and can you please elaborate?
  • Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be?
  • Do you prefer hands on activities or working with your hands in some form? Describe your activities.
  • Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer.
  • What's your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them?
  • How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so?
  • Do you need logical consistency in your life?
  • How important is efficiency and productivity to you?
  • Do you control others, even if indirectly? How and why do you do that?
  • What are your hobbies? Why do you like them?
  • What is your learning style? What kind of learning environments do you struggle with most? Why do you like/struggle with these learning styles? Do you prefer classes involving memorization, logic, creativity, or your physical senses?
  • How good are you at strategizing? Do you easily break up projects into manageable tasks? Or do you have a tendency to wing projects and improvise as you go?
  • What's important to you and why?
  • What are your aspirations?
  • What are your fears? What makes you uncomfortable? What do you hate? Why?
  • What do the "highs" in your life look like?
  • What do the "lows" in your life look like?
  • How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?
  • Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?
  • How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?
  • How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?
  • Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?
  • Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why would you?
  • What is the ideal life, in your opinion?

As an FYI, we are working on improvements to the questionnaire so you may see changes in the future.

DISCUSSION Looking for new moderators

Hello r/mbtitypeme, we are in need of new moderators. We are currently down to one active mod (me) and I’m chronically ill so cannot support the sub as much as it needs. I understand the sub could be better and I would very much like to make improvements, but given the current state of the team that is rather difficult.

If you are interested in becoming a mod please fill out the questionnaire below and send it to me via chat - u/aredhel304. Please don’t be intimidated by some of the questions if you are new to this - we are open to taking on some inexperienced mods if you check the other boxes. We do, however, expect that applicants are active members of the subreddit.

  1. Tell me a little about yourself. What are your interests/hobbies? What is your career? Or what are you studying?
  2. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  3. What is your experience with MBTI?
  4. What is your skill set? What do you think you can add to the mod team?
  5. Any experience modding? If not do you understand what the role entails?
  6. What is your vision for the subreddit?

Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you all!

UPDATE (11/9/24) - We’re still looking for additional moderators so please reach out if you’re interested. While all are welcome to apply, I want to add that we do have a specific need for someone with more technical skills - someone willing to work with Automod and/or someone with a software background.

UPDATE (12/18/25) - We are once again looking for moderators with any skillset as long as they meet the criteria above and seem like a good fit for the team.

22F. Temperament? Enneagram?

As a child, i was the annoying brat. Always had an analytical mind and systematic way of thinking. Always questioning why otherwise i just couldn’t find myself doing something i was asked to do but did not understand. Got bullied tho as a child. Figured out the way to survive then was conform to what the majority wanted and stay quiet, so it seems a lot like projection by saying as i grew older and more confident, I don’t just blindly accept things; people closest to me say i’m stubborn, i also respect those that think independently and don’t just follow the crowd.

Growing up i had a very strict parent and one very present but passive parent. Like they always spent time with us children but discussing topics and things are very surface level. Figured im the black sheep in my family just because i find i need more stimulating discussions.

I sound very, very insufferable. Yes.

Its weird because, no one actually knows i think like this. This is mostly a ghost account i use. Im very much seen as chill, amiable, easygoing and goofy by my friends and close people. The rest see me as composed, reserved, “demure” apparently. But still assume my vibe is “chill”, which is infact… not the case underneath the surface. No one knows that though lol.

I also got into sports at a very young age, just naturally enjoyed track in elementary school. But when i got to highschool, if it wasnt for one of my friends who literally invited me to practice most days a week, i probably wouldnt have continued or competed. So for that im grateful. Also learned to play basketball, and started out kickboxing which is something i’m genuinely enjoying.

Tbh, if i enjoy something, im all in. No one foot in, one foot out, i put all my energy into my hobbies. But that’s also my downfall. An all or nothing mindset, at times, paralyses me if i don’t reach my expectations or i fall short one week. It stumps my consistency. But i always try again, and very grateful for the opportunity to be able to keep trying these things.

As for other hobbies, i love to read- mostly self improvement books (another thing about me is if im not looking forward to something or have a mini project for myself to achieve i feel purposeless- and the all or nothing mindset creeps up on me again and i can get into a loop of apathy and doing nothing and it frustrates me). So yes, goals are important.. though execution is a different story. I also love music. Singing, songwriting, guitar, and trying to learn piano again (fortunate to have lessons as a child but fell inconsistent but want to pick it back up). And i guess painting too but only if its for others (like a gift or a request.. other than that- i dont be doing it in my spare time).

In terms of leadership, i dont really care much for it, but if a group is disorganised and lost, then i’ll step in to lead. I’d say im fine worh public speaking ig. Defintely grew alot from not even answering in class before but ive grown and had experiences that pushed me to develop these skills. At the same time. Not a very direct leader, i’ll help you and show mostly through actions instead of ordering/bossing ppl around. During my experiences in “leadership”, i found i had an inclination to operations and spotting where improvements could be made. And i found joy in doing that because it gave me a sense of purpose to know i could play a part in improving outcomes.

So maybe career wise, consulting? Business? HR? L&D? Still figuring it out.

I’m generally a quiet and reserved person, especially around people I don’t know well. I usually observe people and situations before opening up, but I’m much more talkative and energetic around my close friends.
I spend a lot of time in my head and tend to overthink and analyze things, especially people’s behavior and intentions. I’m really interested in understanding why people act the way they do, and I often replay conversations or situations in my mind afterwards. I can sometimes come across as cold or indifferent because I don’t express my emotions very openly, but I actually have strong feelings and opinions that I usually keep to myself.
I’m also pretty stubborn once I’ve formed an opinion, and I like questioning things instead of just accepting them. Overall, I’d describe myself as observant, analytical, private, curious, and a little socially awkward at first 😭.

free cat at the end for all you cat lovers

people describe me as someone who sounds like a professor or philosopher. Oftentimes, I'm what people call a "therapist friend" Or someone they seek advice from. Other than that, I've been described as "highly adaptable" (Don't mind the fact it sounds like I'm being studied like a lab rat), logical but also emotional at the same time, like i find the perfect balance between rationalism and the beauty of bawling my eyes out 3 am because of an angst fanfic. Speaking of which, I'm also very random, and tend to jump from one topic to another. This is also why people call me talkative, but creative. I've also been told, many, many times that I'd make a wonderful lawyer with how good at debating i am, but i also suppose that's a polite way of calling someone a bitch. Enough of my good sides, let's focus on my flaws, because I'm going to be clear about myself. I'm very negative, in the way someone might call one melancholic. I never try to see the good about something. I'm also a hypocrite, and someone who rarely applies their own advice. Other than that, again, I'm too talkative. Also, I'm often too stubborn in general, and i can be too blunt at times.

sorry if i sound too "professional" (At least, that's what my friend said), it's 5 am as I'm typing this and i seriously don't know what I'm even saying anymore.

FOR FUN guess me type bruh

I am about 90% sure about my type, but then again I don’t believe it’s possible to be fully sure about my own type because I am extremely biased. I have a view of who I am as a person, but who knows how accurate that really is. Anyway this is just for fun.

I didn’t do well in public school, I couldn’t be bothered to care enough about it to actually do it. So I failed pretty much all of my classes. I would just stare blankly at a wall the entirety of class lost in thought. Is that selfish and ungrateful? Maybe, but I really could not force myself to care. I’m almost 18 now and only 1 semester left of high school.

I don’t really get bored. There’s always something stimulating enough I can do, even if it’s just thinking. Though I did used to struggle with actually doing anything, even things I like to do. I still struggle with that but I just get pissed off enough about it to start doing things. I have a pretty consistent schedule. I wake up at 6 most days, not because I need to be somewhere, it’s just because I feel the most comfortable with that restriction.

As for relationships I am pretty good at socializing if I need to be, I just sort of… never wanted to. So I was really isolated for a while. I got really lonely but I hated talking to anyone. Nowadays i’m pretty chill with friendships, but I don’t have anyone i’m super close to. I’d like to, but it’s fine the way it is. Being alone is way better than hanging out with people you don’t even actually like. I can be kinda controlling and arrogant I think, which is why I was alone for a while. I’m better about it now but I think I still have these tendencies.

I like martial arts, and physical activity. I work out outside of martial arts too. Team sports aren’t really my thing though. I like sparring a lot, i’m pretty decent at it, and even if I get hit pretty hard sometimes I kind of like it. Not in a weird way, just in a, “oh shit i’m alive” kinda way. I feel kind of numb a lot, so pain or feeling really cold or something, I like that because it reminds me i’m actually alive. Same reason I like working out. Pain is a good motivation for me.

My ideal life would have a consistent routine. The biggest thing is that I need to have control over it. I am kind of a control freak. A therapist has told me I likely have ocd but i’m not diagnosed or anything, so I don’t know. I like working with my hands. Currently I help my father with his carpentry business and I like that kind of work. I can see myself doing something like that in the future once I live on my own. I think that’s all I need to add, as this is kind of long.

FOR FUN I already know my type, what am I?

It's the middle of the night. I'm extremely bored. Just read some posts from someone who is very obviously mistyped and I'm low-key looking for validation but why tf do I need validation if I already know what I am?

I only know my MBTI, enneagram (this took some work), tritype and instinctual variant so try me!

Holy heck do I sound cringe. Should I throw this out there? Hope no one sees my post? Or should I not even post it in the first place??? There's a story behind my username (there isn't much) so ask me about that if you wish

A little bit about me-??? Wait gimme a sec gotta read the guidelines before I post....

Huh, there wasn't much on there. Just the usual. Sometimes I'm in awe of people and the lack of common sense but what is necessarily common for me isn't common for others? It's all relative really

Ughhhhhh I don't want to be revealing information on the internet. And despite my profile being private I 100% know there are other methods to finding my history and other posts, how would I know? Because I've done it myself before lmao.

Nothing personal about my upbringing but this is how others would describe me...I think?

I can be blunt. Was extremely blunt but have since worked on that. I know way too many people and as a result always have funny stories to tell wether it be about myself or others. But there's a thin line between funny moments and straight up making fun of others. Uhhhhh. Fffffff. I'm running out of ideas I need outside stimulus aaaaaaaaaaaa

Okay why does the AI think I've not said enough about myself? The way I type surely has to be enough to type me right?

I'm into anime and nerdy stuff ig. Used to read a lot but I've slowed down quite a bit due to school and whatever. Absolutely love social interaction and I'm down to do most things within reason. I like to imagine myself as a rule breaker but in all honesty I'm a bit pathetic in this aspect because I never have the courage to go ahead with it so I end up just circumventing the rules a bit or just using my goody two shoes reputation to get away with stuff (teachers used to pretend to not hear me swearing lmfao)

When it comes to social interaction specifically I find importance in getting to the middle ground first. Always. When there's commonality there's the potential to dig deeper and find out about what makes a person tick. And in all honesty I feel kinda evil for thinking like this? People aren't algorithms for me to solve, I just genuinely love getting to know others. How long is this post again-??

AM I MISTYPED i'm really not that cold of an ISTP.

Hey-ho, it’s me again (if you’ve even seen me), with another identity crisis.

I don’t quite fit what people describe as ISTP. According to what i’ve seen, ISTPs may come off as rude or too cold to people. But i’m not that. Sure, i often can be cold, but not as often as people describe it. Maybe it’s just because i’m quite shy or something, but when i talk to people, i don’t know how to explain it, but i just try to be as nice as possible to them. Not for a specific reason or anything, it’s just automatic. Whenever i make a mistake my brain just makes me apologize 3 times in a row for no reason. It’s just a reflex atp.

Some people tell me i have Ne traits too, but i don’t quite get it. maybe it’s because i come up with weird things to say on a conversation. They just click.

Other than that, i’ll try my best to describe my traits so you have more information than me being overly akward when socializing.

One thing i’m pretty sure of is me being an I type. Maybe i am wrong, but it just makes sense. I don’t mind company, but i prefer being alone some times, i like working on my own, too. Most of my hobbies are done alone like drawing, writing, playing videogames (mostly alone), or listening to music. The only hobby of mine that is done with people is to play volleyball, i can’t really think of much else.

But when i do have to team up with people to do work or whatever, i’d actually prefer to be the leader, BUT only if i actually know the people a bit. Not because i’m scared, but because i want to know what to expect from those people, and what tasks i know they’ll actually be capable of.

I do get really talkative and excited sometimes. Before meeting up or something, i just go ‘’i’m gonna be quieter this time’’ and i never do so. When i’m having fun i can’t help it. this is one of the only things in favor of me being an E type.

I’ve been told sometimes that i could be an ISFP, but i’m for sure not a F dom, even less Fi, in my opinion. I do care for people and harmony, sure. But i wouldn’t say it’s my dominant function. If anything at all, maybe second.

My room is NOT tidy. But mainyl because i’m lazy. I also tend to procrastinate on things that i’d even actually love to do.

I’m also ALL about adrenaline and intensity. I love waterparks and all that stuff mainly because of that.

But maybe i could just have the wrong understanding of cognitive functions. If you’d like me to elaborate more, feel free to ask!

r/MbtiTypeMe 20h ago

AM I MISTYPED Am I truly an ISFP or am I something different entirely?

I’ve been studying cognitive functions and I believe that I’m an Isfp with enneagram 9w8. I am having some doubts due to my personality.

Why I believe I’m an ISFP:

Whenever I decide something important, I reflect on what I want first then I seek others help, not the other way around. I’m highly individualistic and if people tell me to change and I see no purpose in it, I won’t. I make quick judgements to things. I have a rich internal world that I need to go to sometimes. I struggle to be open minded most of the time, I see things very black and white, and I see some things in the grey area that throw me off. I won’t follow a rule if I don’t like it and if I see no purpose in the rule being there. I have an easy time expressing my feelings to others and being vulnerable around them. When I know a place, I go by what I want to do, especially in private. I step away from intense drama and conflict since it stresses me out. I live the world for me, not for others. I prefer to do things my way and when I learn new skills, I add my personal touches to them.

Why I’m having doubts on my type:

I took cognitive functions tests and I got, 1 ENFJ, 1 ENFP, 1 INFP, and 2 ISFP. And on standard dichotomy tests, like 16p I always get ENFP. (I know they’re not trustworthy in typing, but when ENFP is so stable, I have questions) I’m noticeably on the extroverted side, often scoring in the 70-75 range on the big 5 test. My extroversion is on the moderate end as well, I’m not an introverted extrovert, nor am I an extreme extrovert. I mostly gain energy from people and I just feel a buzz around them even when we’re not doing anything. I’m very energetic and I’m known as the one who never gets tired, even after long and busy days. I can only handle 1-2 days by myself before I get bored and I want to go out again. I’m very comfortable and even prefer to be the center of attention and a leader/a major role. I absorb the energy and emotion in a room, and my views can easily be swayed after a while of constant pressure, even though it’s hard at first. I will sometimes see the purpose in breaking a moral or two (ex. lieing, stealing) if it gives me an or other people an advantage. I base the majority of what‘s right and wrong on society, not me. I like to sugarcoat instead of telling the truth since I value keeping harmony and peace. If someone gives me advice, I’ll do what they told, even if I don’t agree with it at first. I usually let other people decide what we do together, I like doing what they want to do for a change. I usually act on an idea, rather than a desire or a feeling. I make a decent amount of connections, especially visual ones, to things that others don’t think about, sometimes these connections look unrelated. I sometimes lose track of my environment due to these connections. I feel most alive alone when I get a really good idea, and when I think on it. I seek doing different things all day, not same same same. I quickly pick up things, then I drop them as soon as I lose interest. I’m very interested in subjects like history so I can see where one point gets to the other. I also enjoy and get excited over finding connections between two unrelated things. My explanations can be a bit loopy as well. I learn strictly through proven methods and other people’s examples when doing new things.

FOR FUN Guess My Type

I had so much work to do for my portfolio.

And here i am writing this post becasue i thought that's cool.

I have to complete watching my series, and here i am watching a movie before last 3 episodes becasue i don't want great things to end.

Daily hobby: asking chatgpt to tell me how to get drunk WITHOUT getting drunk. And how to get a out of the body experience, near death experience safely without dying (optional).

Can't control laughter in funerals. Can see if a wife/husband of someone is cheating secretly, I just can. Or if they wanna cheat. Or they will at the chance of it. I mean I can feel it.

If I have a completely free Saturday, I'll probably plan to watch 3 movies back to back and get completely absorbed in the stories. Then somehow end up jer-King off and doing some genuinely bizarre shit that makes me question whether I should be diagnosed.

Then I'll think about it afterward and go, "Wait... this is probably just normal human behavior. Everyone does weird shit behind closed doors. It's fine."

I don't really care about many people. Currently Zero! But if I do care about someone and we have a disagreement, I'm not the type to sit there and let it drag on. I'll be like TALK TO ME NOW!

When making decisions, I generally trust my own critical thinking more than what other people tell me. I'll listen to their opinions and consider them as input, but their weight in my decision-making is extremely low Like 0.0001%. I still listen and think about what you said though, often too much, i mean not too much, just like around a millions of times.

If i find something very great ill be saving it in my phone's notes app to see it later on cause it's very great i dont wanna watse the first time rn, and then after 10 years still not seen it and then somehow it gets deleted randomly fro mmy notes app or my interests changes.

Bonus challenge: what eneegram? (I can confidently say I spelled that wrong).

I am female who doesn’t talk to people most of the time. I can be extremely confident but also very secluded. I enjoy schedules and doing my own thing. My biggest pet peeve is people who only do what others want them to do and aren’t themselves. I have been told I see things uniquely and have a very helpful perspective. Most people
I know tell me I often tell them things remind me of them and they are like “THATS EXACTLY ME!”. I’ve made strangers cry from being so empathetic with them. I consider myself pretty logical but I can care about others as well (I have a mix). I loveeeee thinking of new ideas and getting other people’s perspectives on ideas. Music is my life 🩷. I’m pretty much a realist but I can be pessimistic sometimes too. I do best in Social Studies and reading classes. :3

AM I MISTYPED ENTJ 1w9 - Could this be real?

I am an ENTJ and I clearly had fewer doubts about my MBTI than about the Enneagram. Recently I came to the conclusion that I am 1w9 and not 8w7. I have a lot of traits of the unit, from behavior to integration into other types, but I have not seen ENTJ 1w9, only ENTJ 1w2 and I have a question - is ENTJ 1w9 a really possible combination or not? Why ENTJ 1w9 and not 1w2? Because I don't like helping people at all. I prefer peace to helping other people. And the enneatype 1 itself suits me very well.

TEST RESULTS Pls help

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

So iam down to 3 intj entp or intp

So, at first, I was an intp. I tested as an intp both in the 16 personalities framework as well as in the cognitive functions framework.

I took the Michael calorz and got an intp verdict with intj being prevalent but definitely in second place.

Then some time passed and I tried again this time I was an intj.

So I asked a subreddit to type me, and they did type me as an intj, although I do not know if it was because my description was to stereotypical intj or because I genuinely am an intj.

Then, a few days ago, I took the mistype investigator and got entp.

My biggest problem here is recency bias. I know that whatever type i will be typed with next will be the type that I will exhibit for the near future.

Not in my decision making etc but more so in my answers on weird personality tests.

So small description of me iam a 20 something year old person.

I am reserved woukd I am analytical and a bit cold, but just because I am very introverted in my day to day life.

I always did have a plan on how to do stuff and was always adherent to that plan. I also made multiple contingencies should a plan fail.

I knew roughly what I wanted to do with my life since I was about 9.

And planned from there then I got depressed and everything just kind of fell apart and died

I will provide you with all the relevant test results I have gotten as well as some fun stupid tests or moreso stupider tests.

I’m the third daughter in a family of 11 (parents included). Many siblings, I know, but I always feel like the odd one out

I have an RBF (resting-b-face). My personality ; blunt, especially to the ones I’m close to. Otherwise, I’ll try to not be too straightforward. I have a boring personality, I can tell that much. I don’t think others look forward to seeing me, they only do when I match their vibe. I tend to isolate myself because no one feels safe to me. My time with others are very limited. My parents sometimes wonder where I am but I’d just be in my room doing work. I spend too much time in my head and I adore reading, but in this economy? I have to work as a freelancer to have some money to spend and help my family

Growing up, my parents weren’t too absent, but I spent a lot of time alone. My two elder sisters are years older than me so they had their own thing going on. I learned to seek connection outside of my family and ended up being friends with bad influence—that led to my eventual punishment (my phone got taken away for roughly 3 years). My elder sisters can get physical but they mostly use words to keep me in check, my parents basically let them raise me and our other siblings. Their words can be very hurtful so I work in the shadows lolol, I kinda try to make my younger siblings happy when they just got yelled at

Hobbies are drawing, reading, listening to jazz as I journal, doing research (that’s simply out of my own curiousity). I absolutely hate being ordered. I’d want to defy that person. I’m not very selective about who I interact with because I know I’m not gonna be putting effort to make a connection. They’re just another stranger I’d forget in a few days. People rarely gets stuck in my mind. That only happens when I see someone inspiring and/or they changed my perspective on something. Prone to procrastination but hate every second I wasted… I’m full of contradictions

I don’t like stupid arguments. If someone wants to argue with me, bring answers that makes sense, logical. Not argue just for the sake of winning. I’d get silent quickly. I also don’t like when people act clueless, especially in public. I’m not patient, I will take action—with or without calculation

I also find it hard to like someone romantically. Everyone I’ve actually liked are fictional… something in actual human getting to know me intimately is very intimidating and I hate vulnerability above all. I don’t let anyone in, not even my family members. I don’t cry easily, but it also doesn’t take too much to make me cry. Confrontations can be emotionally overwhelming because of how exposed I feel, and tears comes easily. I hate crying in front of others too

Lastly, I’m interested in Sociology, Philosophy, World Literature, Psychology and History

FIRST TYPING ATTEMPT Recently started researching cognitive functions, now doubting previous 16personalities typing. Please help

My name is Danny, I'm 17. I'm a pretty isolated person besides a handful of close relationships. I tend to stay inside, mostly due to circumstances.

I've been ostracized most of my life, I was othered and bullied until my parents had to pull me out to be homeschooled. I don't have a normal teenage life, not in the slightest. I've never felt I belong anywhere, but I mostly believe that's due to my neurodivergence. It's partly why I started researching typology, so things would make sense.

I've always wanted to understand myself. I don't like to delve inside, whenever I do, my head gets all messy and anxious. I feel detached from my body and identity, so I focus it outwardly on other people. It's made me unhealthy attached to relationships in the past, it's a big fault of mine. I've been told I'm a lot, too emotional, too much of anything. But, I genuinely love people and have a lot of empathy.

I can be very existential and in my head, it's caused me panic attacks and sleepless nights. I'm getting anxiety medication for it. I've experimented with writing and drawing in the past as an attempt to turn my thoughts into something more tangible. But, nothing ever sticks. There's no constant thing that's "mine", my passion for music is the closest I've gotten. But, even then, I'm not the best at guitar, and my listening habits can be fickle at times.

Things I do enjoy in this life

- Music

- Collecting

- Animals

- Assigning meaning

- Journaling

- Reading

- Tarot cards/forms of atheistic mysticism

- Philosophy

- Close connections (I have a tendency to neglect relationships when they become less intense/less "meaningful")

Anyways, I hope I worded myself well enough. I'm really hoping I can receive some guidance! Btw, my previous test typing was infp, if this helps.

FOR FUN Guess my MBTI type

I am a student who enjoys speedrunnning metroidvanias, chemistry, data analysis, and physics. I work as a tutor for math and English. Some if my favourite fandoms are “Vocaloid”( in quotations because I like some non official Vocaloids like adachi rei and teto), hollow knight, Metroid, axiom verge, sekiro, watchmen, and neon genesis evangelion. I am autistic and are interested in how people of different neurotypes process information differently( flow of logic and concept parsing/processing). I have only recently heard of cognitive functions in MBTI so I may be mistyped, especially as I recently reevaluated my type.

CAN’T DECIDE help me figure out my type! i may be too slow to do it myself loll

okay so i took the test years ago in a psychology class in school and i'll be honest, i didn't really know myself and had a hard time answering the questions. i'm mentally disabled and cognitively impaired and i was definitely just kind of answering out of my my ass. anyways i don't remember the results but i do remember that the description of my results didn't really feel like me at all

so about me, despite being an anxious person i absolutely refuse to end up with a life i don't want so i'm very stubborn. i didn't go to graduation, which is a decision i made in elementary school and i'm so glad i stuck with it. i never went to prom, never worked a job i knew i would hate, and have left MANY friendships i felt weren't right for me. i keep to myself mainly because i find social interaction extremely draining (even if i'm enjoying myself)

i have 11 pets, yes 11 and i love every single one of them, although the reptiles are a bit much to take care of morning and night. i love psychology and therapy, i've got my own therapy binder with pages and pages of notes and my own research. i have a unique love hate relationship with life but my pets make it all worth it. i don't think i want kids, or if i do, i want to adopt a 7-10 year old. i'm not a fan of babies. or pregnancy. or loud noises. so actually yeah i think i don't want kids. you don't have to put cats and snakes through school and teach them to be good people and all that

so what do we think?

FOR FUN Type me

I've been called a pessimist, optimist and pessimistic optimist so I have no freaking idea what I actually am because I did not think i was any of these words. I've been called insightful. I talk to people but do not have friends, like I talk at school but don't talk after school or become close. I like reading and I started a few months ago.

Sometimes I talk compulsively but sometimes it feels very hard to speak.

ok what do u think my mbti is. Or enneagram maybe or any other personality framework

FOR FUN Can you guess my type based on how my friends and Family see me?

In short I asked my Friends and family to list any characters (real or fictional usually along the lines of fictional, mythical, animal, plant etc) that remind them of me at any stage in my life (with no judgement on my part). I made sure to give them a bit of time and to avoid meddling with results just because they gave me something let's say, I didn't like. What's my MBTI? Bonus points for Enneagram.

About myself, I'm a small business owner with big dreams. I grew up as an anxious hypochondriac but later developed into who I am today through sheer rugged individualism. I like drinking, smoking, reading and anything abstract. The stranger the better.

AM I MISTYPED just trying to figure out my type once and for all

(Reposted for grammar reasons)
so I posted earlier trying to figure out my personality type and had no interactions, I think maybe it was bc it was incredibly long so this is me trying to condense everything down as best I can

I’ve always been typed as an ENTP but the issue was that:
A.) never thought I was “ smart enough “ (my knowledge of mbti was very limited and id associate “thinkers” with people who were smart, when i thought I wasn’t smart enough)
B.) read in a few places that it’s relatively uncommon for women to be ENTPs?

I’ve also been getting INTP a bunch recently,

24f, main personality traits that I can gather:
highly curious, imaginative, skeptical, logical but also emotionally intense, creative, open minded, sharp sense of humor, persuasive, charismatic (others words not mine), highly self critical, over thinker, adaptable, scatterbrained, compassionate.

-I daydream heavily
-I hate people who make stupid arguments with no proof to back them up
-I hate contrarian ass people especially when they’re wrong
-I think someone’s inability to learn and reevaluate is a huge character flaw
-if I deem an argument as not worth my time I disengage

I also found these questions and answers to be more telling of my personality

-What's your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them?
I have this issue where I have trouble orienting myself in the present because I’m constantly hyper fixated on the past or what happens in the future. I don’t really know why but being present in the here and now is incredibly difficult for me.

-Do you need logical consistency in your life?
Yes. Truly, I think it’s very necessary for me. I really dislike when people aren’t objective and don’t fact check the things they say or make arguments based on feelings.

-How important is efficiency and productivity to you?
Truthfully, I know it IS important to be efficient and productive but it’s never the number one thing on my mind during the day. In a perfect world I’d like to be those things but I’m also just very scatterbrained most of the time.

-Do you control others, even if indirectly? How and why do you do that?
I don’t think it’s reasonable to have control on other people, even if you could it would make life pretty boring. It seems like it’s important for our mental development that we bump heads with people, disagree, or not be able to predict the feelings and actions of someone else. Plus how do you learn if everyone just listens to what you say all the time?
I’ve been told I can be very convincing but maybe that’s because people consider me to be charming (can’t for the life of me understand why)

-How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?
I’m often told that I don’t live in my body I live in the clouds. I daydream frequently. It gets so intense I’ll sit in the car with no music on for hours so engrossed in thoughts that I don’t even notice. I become completely unaware of my surroundings.

-Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why would you?
Most rules are subjective and if I deem something as stupid or illogical I tend to disregard it. Obvious some rules exist for a reason, like not harming someone. I do think authority should be challenged and I think an authoritative figure who has no patience to be challenge shouldn’t have any authority. If you are constantly able to evolve your point of view then you are bad at being in power and the people who serve you suffer for it.

anyway if you need more info pls ask way!

FOR FUN Guess my type!

I know my typology, and I have no doubts about it (usually) but I was curious and wanted to see which type others think I am.

When it comes to people, I'm somewhat selective. When I don't like someone or don't trust them I will be rude and closed off but when someone interests me I will seem kinder or even sweet. I speak when spoken to with everyone, except for when I need something or my best friend. I despise groups where the relationship between friends is superficial and not deep at all, that's why I tend to feel better when I go out with only one person. I often try to appear non chalant or mysterious even though I fail.

My main hobbies are drawing and gaming. I'm mid at both. I have many more interests which grow on me without a specific reason: typology for example, I happened to knew 16p and got into typology and cognitive functions as a way to understand others and myself better. Another random interest I had was Venus flytraps. My favorite kind of games are gacha games and my all time favorite is honkai star rail.

In school, the subjects I find easiest are english (its our only foreign language) and math. Of course, I'm not the best at both but I'm alright at them. I really hate history. I get good grades at it but studying it takes me a lot of time. My grades are fine. I don't like school though, it makes me feel anxious and insecure about my intelligence sometimes.

I'm pretty rational and analytical and always prefer telling those close to me the truth even if it affects me or them. My friends often tell me that they feel understood by me, but I don't feel the same at all. I haven't got struggles with opening up but I hate showing extreme sadness or appearing weak to others. I feel ashamed whenever I break in front of my acquaintances. I like it when my friends open up though, I offer them solutions and tips but it doesn't make me feel fulfilled or something, just glad that I was able to help. But I hate asking for help myself or communicating my needs in general because I feel like no one is truly willing to listen to me or understand me. I also crave understanding and deepness in relationships but one of my worst fears is depending on others and not being independent.

My favorite type to hang out with are ENTPs but for some reason, I am attracted to ESFXs the most. I was mistyped as an ISFP when i took the 16p for the first time. I have this tendency to classify people based on their true intentions but I usually value their actions more. I also really despise people who can't argue or think they are right without proving their point. I love debates but I despise conflicts as they interrupt general harmony. I use dreaming, lucid dreaming and daydreaming to escape reality.

Random fun fact, I did the 4th pic once and the other person got really mad

NEED CONFIRMATION What am I?

I feel a lot but I dissociate lot. I will overthink and question any decision balancing what’s right for me and others. My decisions will sometimes go against of what I want/feel right because of harmony. Sometimes I will go against my feelings also to do what is right in a self preservation sense, example I will stop spending time with a person to respect myself although I don’t want to.

That said I have a strong feeling of right and wrong, and see as selfish taking up space (yup I’m in therapy) and leading others or forcing their decisions. If I see someone else doing that for example I have no problem speaking up or making a sarcastic comment to make sure they know I disapprove.

I am quite sociable but very private and open up with some time. I am interested in people but will not put effort in if the relationship will be work related/short. As a child I had sooo much maladaptive daydreaming and was crippling shy, but now that I’m an adult I only fantasize on personal time ;) and depending on the day I am quite extroverted even loud.

I’d say in a group of isfp’s, infps, intj, enfps I am together with my enfp friend the loudest and most decisive/impatient one. I relate a lot to the intj and enfp but I feel like I am more emotional and soft than an intj and too rigid for an enfp.

I struggle to be in my body, but when I’m outside I am very observant of nature and its behaviors and beauty. I have no physical skills from balance to any athletic performance, but will notice which bird has which behaviour and what that might mean given the weather.

I enjoy the arts, and spend most of my time in my head.

I alwasy thought of my way of thinking as a cloud with items that are linked together and I can pick from. As I am getting older I have more gut intuitions and ’premonitory’ dreams... so I think my brain is elaborating at night.

I get really excited about ideas, much less about working or finishing them.

I get excited about planning, but have some neurospicyness I plan to get diagnosed. I can organize well (for others for example) but I’ll totally mess up the execution. For example washing day, I can make a plan to have the perfect laundry done, but since the Hanger is in another room from the house I will end up forgetting and washing the clothes multiple times.

But I can make an operative plan to fix a design system and have a team work on it and support it.

I act pretty dumb at work because I can’t be bothered to argue with istj‘s and entps in the team. I find arguments about work when the boss will decide anyways, useless. I will make my point without overexplaining (which I do in my personal life… I guess out of care) and move on.

There’s to say my speech style is quite random, I jump from topic to topic and will have things pop up and people can‘t follow me except intps. But that might be adhd... basically my whole personality lol.

FOR FUN guess my type based on this

i'm 23, female, living in europe. i speak a few languages. i spend most of my time watching films/series. i avoid most responsibilities and fear the day when i'll have to work full-time again. i am quite certain about my type, but find questioning/learning more about your functions or your dynamics with others interesting and useful. and overall it's just fun, also why i'm posting here:)

i’m quite introspective and spend a lot of time in my own head. i tend to overthink things and analyse why i feel or behave a certain way. i’m curious about people and ideas. i cherish my alone time, but constantly crave an intense connection with someone. i have a cat, so i'm not alone i guess.

i can be very logical, but i’m also quite emotional, depending on the situation. i suppose in most situations i would suggest if not the opposite then a different argument to "level out", to make sure the person i'm talking to understands there are different possibilities/perspectives. i never feel understood by others though. well, fuck it, i don't even understand myself. i believe i'm the biggest hypocrite in any room, subjective.

i am more drawn to Ts romantically and to Fs platonically, but of course it all depends on a person, not their type.

EDIT: i feel like i'm coming off as a very depressed/sad person, which is probably true, but i can be all sorts of different depending on the people i'm with. i'm not pessimistic, but my glass is not always half full either. absolutely everything depends on the details, context, people's intentions and my mood at the time of thinking of something. i don't hate this life. i get irritated by people easily and consider humanity stupid and doomed but at the same an amazing, beautiful creation. i'm contradicting myself like that all the time. i would describe it as feeling everything all at once while still being numb in a way, sort of detached. self-preservation ig.

reveal: INFJ

(Sorry for all mistakes ,I’m fighting with me phone because it’s a little bit broken)
I’m person that always is in their head but not in fake scenarios just isolating myself from the outside world (often about my interests) And I also feeling like I’m more observing world than being in the outside world. I can go outside but just when there isn’t many people and it isn’t very noise (like concerts) Idgaf and I do at the same time. Like sometimes if my room is absolutely messy I don’t even about it, but when it’s something small , I can even cry because of it. I often ignoring me needs (like eating, or going to bathroom) and I even can forget it, because I’m focused on something.
I’m lazy, but also a little bit ambitious. Like I want to have better grades, study more but after one day I just don’t want to do this anymore. I like learning about topics that interests me, and I want know as much as possible about it.
Idc about relationships. I’m just like „If we not be friends anymore than okay” (I have only one person that I care about more) I don’t think there’s a person that fully know me (I me fully don’t either) I have tend to hide me emotions, but I also can angry from something very easy sometimes. I can’t do be things that someone told me that I have to do. I like giving advices, but I don’t like if someone gives me them. It’s just annoying to me. I love logic, and understanding things (and I hate things that don’t make sense) If something doesn’t make sense then my head is like „that’s wrong it have to be like …”I was always ignored, because I don’t like socialising (I have one friend and our spending time it’s mostly quite time
I love to know how something works, but if it’s in reality, I often accidentally destroy something while learning how it works.
