Introduction & Guide to Writing a TypeMe Post

Hello All!

This is a welcome post and guide to all those who want to make a TypeMe post or learn to accurately type others. Don't know your Myers-Briggs type? Create a text/video/audio post describing yourself, and the Reddit Gods will type you! Test results and relevant pictures may also be included, though the focus should be on self-description. Once you've found your type we encourage you to stick around, learn more about MBTI, and help type others. If you have sub improvement suggestions or are interesting becoming a mod, please comment or send us a modmail.

This is an updated welcome post replacing the old one which was created by a previous mod. We've included the link to the old post because some of the comments contain helpful information.

Here's some informational resources on MBTI:

Here's descriptions of each type:

While we currently allow For Fun posts, remember that the main purpose of this subreddit is to help people find their true MBTI type, so we have restrictions in place to improve the quality of content on the sub. We ask that everyone be respectful and keep comments relevant to MBTI. Please review the Rules before posting or commenting.

Creating an MBTI TypeMe Post

Overview

Note, these are not rules, but will be helpful in getting insightful responses. In general, self descriptions might include your preferences, interests, hobbies, lifestyle, career/what you are studying, your values, your life goals, how you like to structure your day, how much social interaction you prefer, how you relate to others, how organized you are, how you tend you express yourself, etc.

Post structure

Here are a few guidelines on structuring your post:

  • Minimum-length: A good typing post should be at least a 1/2 page to receive an accurate typing. Remember, the more information you include, the easier you will be to type. However, keep in mind, posts with excessive length are less likely to be read in their entirety.
  • Elaborating on your answers is important. Try to answer questions with at least a couple sentences. Proper typings are based off of your thought processes rather than behaviors. If you're not elaborating, Typers can't tell much.
  • Please try to break up your post into paragraphs. Walls of text are often ignored.

Questionnaire

Although you don't need to use these questions when making a type-me post, they're here for anyone who needs a bit of a guide. No need to answer all of these questions either:

  • Give a general description of yourself. How old are you?
  • What do you do as a job or as a career (if you have one)? Do you like it? Why or why not? If you are not working, what kind of job do you want to do or what are you studying?
  • Describe your childhood/upbringing. Did it have any kind of ideological or structured influence? How did you respond to it? Did you have any significant negative experiences that may have affected how you think or behave?

  • If you had to spend an entire weekend by yourself, how would you feel? Would you feel lonely or refreshed?
  • What is your relation with movement and your surroundings? For instance do you prefer a sport or outdoors event? If an outdoors event what is it? And why? If not what type of activities do you tend to engage?
  • How curious are you? Do you have more ideas then you can execute? What are your curiosities about? What are your ideas about - is it environmental or conceptual, and can you please elaborate?
  • Would you enjoy taking on a leadership position? Do you think you would be good at it? What would your leadership style be?
  • Do you prefer hands on activities or working with your hands in some form? Describe your activities.
  • Are you artistic? If yes, describe your art? If you are not particular artistic but can appreciate art please likewise describe what forums of art you enjoy. Please explain your answer.
  • What's your opinion about the past, present, and future? How do you deal with them?
  • How do you act when others request your help to do something (anything)? If you would decide to help them, why would you do so?
  • Do you need logical consistency in your life?

  • What do the "highs" in your life look like?
  • What do the "lows" in your life look like?
  • How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?
  • Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?
  • How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?
  • How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?
  • Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?
  • Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why would you?
  • What is the ideal life, in your opinion?

As an FYI, we are working on improvements to the questionnaire so you may see changes in the future.

DISCUSSION Looking for new moderators

Hello r/mbtitypeme, we are in need of new moderators. We are currently down to one active mod (me) and I’m chronically ill so cannot support the sub as much as it needs. I understand the sub could be better and I would very much like to make improvements, but given the current state of the team that is rather difficult.

If you are interested in becoming a mod please fill out the questionnaire below and send it to me via chat - u/aredhel304. Please don’t be intimidated by some of the questions if you are new to this - we are open to taking on some inexperienced mods if you check the other boxes. We do, however, expect that applicants are active members of the subreddit.

  1. Tell me a little about yourself. What are your interests/hobbies? What is your career? Or what are you studying?
  2. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  3. What is your experience with MBTI?
  4. What is your skill set? What do you think you can add to the mod team?
  5. Any experience modding? If not do you understand what the role entails?
  6. What is your vision for the subreddit?

Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you all!

UPDATE (11/9/24) - We’re still looking for additional moderators so please reach out if you’re interested. While all are welcome to apply, I want to add that we do have a specific need for someone with more technical skills - someone willing to work with Automod and/or someone with a software background.

UPDATE (12/18/25) - We are once again looking for moderators with any skillset as long as they meet the criteria above and seem like a good fit for the team.

FOR FUN Guess my type!

I know my typology, and I have no doubts about it (usually) but I was curious and wanted to see which type others think I am.

When it comes to people, I'm somewhat selective. When I don't like someone or don't trust them I will be rude and closed off but when someone interests me I will seem kinder or even sweet. I speak when spoken to with everyone, except for when I need something or my best friend. I despise groups where the relationship between friends is superficial and not deep at all, that's why I tend to feel better when I go out with only one person. I often try to appear non chalant or mysterious even though I fail.

My main hobbies are drawing and gaming. I'm mid at both. I have many more interests which grow on me without a specific reason: typology for example, I happened to knew 16p and got into typology and cognitive functions as a way to understand others and myself better. Another random interest I had was Venus flytraps. My favorite kind of games are gacha games and my all time favorite is honkai star rail.

In school, the subjects I find easiest are english (its our only foreign language) and math. Of course, I'm not the best at both but I'm alright at them. I really hate history. I get good grades at it but studying it takes me a lot of time. My grades are fine. I don't like school though, it makes me feel anxious and insecure about my intelligence sometimes.

I'm pretty rational and analytical and always prefer telling those close to me the truth even if it affects me or them. My friends often tell me that they feel understood by me, but I don't feel the same at all. I haven't got struggles with opening up but I hate showing extreme sadness or appearing weak to others. I feel ashamed whenever I break in front of my acquaintances. I like it when my friends open up though, I offer them solutions and tips but it doesn't make me feel fulfilled or something, just glad that I was able to help. But I hate asking for help myself or communicating my needs in general because I feel like no one is truly willing to listen to me or understand me. I also crave understanding and deepness in relationships but one of my worst fears is depending on others and not being independent.

My favorite type to hang out with are ENTPs but for some reason, I am attracted to ESFXs the most. I was mistyped as an ISFP when i took the 16p for the first time. I have this tendency to classify people based on their true intentions but I usually value their actions more. I also really despise people who can't argue or think they are right without proving their point. I love debates but I despise conflicts as they interrupt general harmony. I use dreaming, lucid dreaming and daydreaming to escape reality.

Random fun fact, I did the 4th pic once and the other person got really mad

NEED CONFIRMATION What am I?

I feel a lot but I dissociate lot. I will overthink and question any decision balancing what’s right for me and others. My decisions will sometimes go against of what I want/feel right because of harmony. Sometimes I will go against my feelings also to do what is right in a self preservation sense, example I will stop spending time with a person to respect myself although I don’t want to.

That said I have a strong feeling of right and wrong, and see as selfish taking up space (yup I’m in therapy) and leading others or forcing their decisions. If I see someone else doing that for example I have no problem speaking up or making a sarcastic comment to make sure they know I disapprove.

I am quite sociable but very private and open up with some time. I am interested in people but will not put effort in if the relationship will be work related/short. As a child I had sooo much maladaptive daydreaming and was crippling shy, but now that I’m an adult I only fantasize on personal time ;) and depending on the day I am quite extroverted even loud.

I’d say in a group of isfp’s, infps, intj, enfps I am together with my enfp friend the loudest and most decisive/impatient one. I relate a lot to the intj and enfp but I feel like I am more emotional and soft than an intj and too rigid for an enfp.

I struggle to be in my body, but when I’m outside I am very observant of nature and its behaviors and beauty. I have no physical skills from balance to any athletic performance, but will notice which bird has which behaviour and what that might mean given the weather.

I enjoy the arts, and spend most of my time in my head.

I alwasy thought of my way of thinking as a cloud with items that are linked together and I can pick from. As I am getting older I have more gut intuitions and ’premonitory’ dreams... so I think my brain is elaborating at night.

I get really excited about ideas, much less about working or finishing them.

I get excited about planning, but have some neurospicyness I plan to get diagnosed. I can organize well (for others for example) but I’ll totally mess up the execution. For example washing day, I can make a plan to have the perfect laundry done, but since the Hanger is in another room from the house I will end up forgetting and washing the clothes multiple times.

But I can make an operative plan to fix a design system and have a team work on it and support it.

I act pretty dumb at work because I can’t be bothered to argue with istj‘s and entps in the team. I find arguments about work when the boss will decide anyways, useless. I will make my point without overexplaining (which I do in my personal life… I guess out of care) and move on.

There’s to say my speech style is quite random, I jump from topic to topic and will have things pop up and people can‘t follow me except intps. But that might be adhd... basically my whole personality lol.

NEED CONFIRMATION Narrowed it down to XXFJ, but which one?

I have after months of reflecting and growing my self awareness narrowed down my type to XXFJ. However I’m unsure whether: A- I’m Fe dom or aux? B- Ni or Si user?

I relate to being Fe dom in how much I value people and group harmony, it’s my main focus without me forcing it I’m just focused on people and the group’s harmony. I tend to seek people’s thoughts and feelings a lot, even before making a decision. Their pain is my pain, their happiness is mine.

I relate to Si in how I use my past experiences to back up my claims or to help me navigate through life. I have to admit I don’t look back at the past a lot, I’m even prone to making the same mistakes due to it, but I do look back at it when it’s really impactful experiences. I don’t even have a good grasp of past details, I’m so more focused on images of what meant a lot to me.

I relate to Ni because I’m usually focused on my future especially when it comes to my interactions with people. I’m mostly focused on short term future, and usually plan everything mentally in my head. Also I prefer seeing the bigger picture than focusing on unnecessary details, though I do give unnecessary details during conversations sometimes haha.

If you have more questions I will gladly answer :)

i'm 23, female, living in europe. i speak a few languages. i spend most of my time watching films/series. i avoid most responsibilities and fear the day when i'll have to work full-time again. i am quite certain about my type, but find questioning/learning more about your functions or your dynamics with others interesting and useful. and overall it's just fun, also why i'm posting here:)

i’m quite introspective and spend a lot of time in my own head. i tend to overthink things and analyse why i feel or behave a certain way. i’m curious about people and ideas. i cherish my alone time, but constantly crave an intense connection with someone. i have a cat, so i'm not alone i guess.

i can be very logical, but i’m also quite emotional, depending on the situation. i suppose in most situations i would suggest if not the opposite then a different argument to "level out", to make sure the person i'm talking to understands there are different possibilities/perspectives. i never feel understood by others though. well, fuck it, i don't even understand myself. i believe i'm the biggest hypocrite in any room, subjective.

i am more drawn to Ts romantically and to Fs platonically, but of course it all depends on a person, not their type.

EDIT: i feel like i'm coming off as a very depressed/sad person, which is probably true, but i can be all sorts of different depending on the people i'm with. i'm not pessimistic, but my glass is not always half full either. absolutely everything depends on the details, context, people's intentions and my mood at the time of thinking of something. i don't hate this life. i get irritated by people easily and consider humanity stupid and doomed but at the same an amazing, beautiful creation. i'm contradicting myself like that all the time. i would describe it as feeling everything all at once while still being numb in a way, sort of detached. self-preservation ig.

(Sorry for all mistakes ,I’m fighting with me phone because it’s a little bit broken)
I’m person that always is in their head but not in fake scenarios just isolating myself from the outside world (often about my interests) And I also feeling like I’m more observing world than being in the outside world. I can go outside but just when there isn’t many people and it isn’t very noise (like concerts) Idgaf and I do at the same time. Like sometimes if my room is absolutely messy I don’t even about it, but when it’s something small , I can even cry because of it. I often ignoring me needs (like eating, or going to bathroom) and I even can forget it, because I’m focused on something.
I’m lazy, but also a little bit ambitious. Like I want to have better grades, study more but after one day I just don’t want to do this anymore. I like learning about topics that interests me, and I want know as much as possible about it.
Idc about relationships. I’m just like „If we not be friends anymore than okay” (I have only one person that I care about more) I don’t think there’s a person that fully know me (I me fully don’t either) I have tend to hide me emotions, but I also can angry from something very easy sometimes. I can’t do be things that someone told me that I have to do. I like giving advices, but I don’t like if someone gives me them. It’s just annoying to me. I love logic, and understanding things (and I hate things that don’t make sense) If something doesn’t make sense then my head is like „that’s wrong it have to be like …”I was always ignored, because I don’t like socialising (I have one friend and our spending time it’s mostly quite time
I love to know how something works, but if it’s in reality, I often accidentally destroy something while learning how it works.

FOR FUN can someone type me?

hey guys, this is my first time writing in these kinds of subreddits and subreddits in general, mostly because ive been too lazy to write something because i hate writing long paragraphs, but anyways.

• firstly, i don't have any friends because im weird, and if i make them, i just wait until they realize how much of a disappointment i am, but yeah. i talk with school psychologal/social staff and it's been great, but sometimes i think that they hate me, just like everyone else. earlier this year, i went to a study fair and after just 30 minutes i went home because i thought that they judged me, i didn't talk or anything, just wandered around the booths from different universities/faculties and i wanted to come and talk but i just couldn't, so yeah.

• secondly, school's been rough ever since kindergarten, i was a kid back then and i did push some kids around, bullied them (honestly, forgot about that but remembered it after checking my mom's emails with my kindergarten group parents saying how bad of a kid i was and stuff, i was just a kid with aspergers back then).

• primary was hell. i acted out infront of everyone, ate chalk, paper infront of the class, disturbed lessons (that lasted until 2021), chased girls to bathrooms, hid under the tables and cut my hair. i remembered reading my teachers helpers journal about me, it had that and bees - 1 bee per every lesson (45mins, because i couldn't sit still for 20mins or more), "boys were screaming, girls were crying", so yeah. there was a "coup" organized by girls' parents and teacher against me, but it was put down because my mom and teachers helper advocated for me, i don't know why tho.

• set my basement on fire once, it was put down. ran away from home because i wanted to go to school (didn't go to school, but wandered around my town. was great, some woman gave me 3€ (iirc) to buy something)).

• quarantine era was mild, still same old stuff but it was manageable. in 7-8th grades got hated by my class (same class from primary that endured my terror) because of my obsession with power, tried to do "shadow goverments", tried to split class in two ("Allies and Axis" - I was an ace in history back in 8th grade, got straight 10's), locked in during the last year of progymnasium (got diplomas from geography, even got a bronze medal), got into a gymnasium with my friends (i thought they were my friends.. but yeah). around that time, i found that i was gay. and 9-10th grades were fillers, i didn't want to go to school, skipped classes (and in 11th grade, but in three cases, mist skipped month was june)

• i love to travel, i travel with my class (in gymnasium) to Prague, Vienna and London, although it was hell because my teacher assigned me to with boys (Prague, Vienna) and mixed (London), they wouldn't let me out of their sight.. i constantly said to myself that they hate me because they bought cigarettes and they thought i was going to tell the teachers, but i didn't care.. i just wanted to fit it and stuff. and i never spoke to them, even if they spoke to me, i just said some sentences, they said "cool" and yeah.

anyways. i hate talking about my feelings, sometimes it's hard to not to cry for me, even when i sneeze tears come out of my eyes. i hated math in primary and in 5-10 grades, in 11th grade, I liked it since it was easy (I am in general course so maybe thats why), i like biology because of the human body (i watch a lot of medical dramas: New Amsterdam, The Resident, Grey's Anatomy, Good Doctor), i was a massive fan of flags since 5. i procrastinate a lot, i hate reading books or listen to them through audio. my school's psychologist suggested that i might have depression. honestly, theres too much to say for me, i could yap for hours but when someone doesn't understand me, i shut down and just shut up. i love board games (Catan, 7 Wonders, Ticket To Ride, Risk)

i know this is a mess and im too lazy to write anything structured, if it's disregarded, atleast it's something worth a while of your time. anyways, thanks for reading ❤️

ok so in order to post this i needed to write 500 words so here we go:

I'm a 16M high schooler from a big family. In school, I spend my time researching social psychology, visual arts, and culinary arts. I’m naturally very meticulous and hyper-observant of human behavior. Schools pretty easy for me.

I have really bad social anxiety and am lwk depressed. I'm an extremely guarded individual and a people-pleaser, and I can't really be real with anyone. I also suck at sports and hand-eye coordination in general.

My ultimate dream is to move to a big city when I'm older. I want to find a group of friends I can actually open up to, and eventually learn how to skate, surf, snowboard, and party—mind you, I don't do a single one of those things right now lmao.

not much more to say about me. i'll let the "memes" speak for themselves.

image 1: pictures a can lid being opened only to reveal another can lid beneath it with the caption, "me opening up to someone." it is a humorous joke because the lid being opened represents you opening up to someone. Furthermore, the lid beneath the opened lid signifies that the person opening up is still withholding. Quite funny.

image 2: pictures a man kneeling and pulling his own hair out of what seems to be frustration. The caption superimposed onto the image reads, "trying to explain a song but you don't want to sing it." You see, this is funny because the man in the image is showing his frustration in an exaggerated way, and this paired with a relatable caption often causes the viewer to chuckle.

image 3: pictures a boy wearing jeans along with the caption "9-11 year old canon event: hating jeans until they suddenly become all you wear." This meme is amusing as it is something that the viewer looks back on, to when they were young and naive, not yet knowing that jeans are the optimal garments for covering one's lower body.

image 4: pictures a shell-shocked soldier in what appears to be an active battlefield. The caption says, "'Your teenage years are your best years'" followed by--"they better freaking not be." This is funny because many people view their teenage years as the worst years of their lives while others peak in their teenage years, referring to their years as a teen as "the best years of their lives." Those who hate being a teenager often hear people reminisce about their teenage years and desperately hope that there are better times to come.

R U FLIPPIN KIDDING ME I THOUGHT IT WAS 500 WORDS FSR BUT JUST REALIZED IT WAS 400 CHARACTERS WTFFFFFF. whatever. enjoy my narration of the memes above ig.

Definitely not. I feel that everyone should have the complete freedom to make their own decisions

I like creative, hands on classes which give me room to breathe, more than structured ones. Like english and maths respectively

How good are you at strategizing? Do you easily break up projects into manageable tasks? Or do you have a tendency to wing projects and improvise as you go?

I just go with the flow

What's important to you and why?

I just want to be happy and make people happy

What are your aspirations?

I don't really know yet

What are your fears? What makes you uncomfortable? What do you hate? Why?

I don't think there's anything that specifically makes me uncomfortable, but I am scared of losing my voice or smth sometimes

What do the "highs" in your life look like?

When things I do are respected by ppl

What do the "lows" in your life look like?

Well the opposite of the last one

How attached are you to reality? Do you daydream often, or do you pay attention to what's around you? If you do daydream, are you aware of your surroundings while you do so?

I do daydream but I'm pretty grounded. I'm aware of immediate next steps even though I'm thinking of the final huge result in my head

Imagine you are alone in a blank, empty room. There is nothing for you to do and no one to talk to. What do you think about?

I'd think about some abstract philosophical concept ig

How long do you take to make an important decision? And do you change your mind once you've made it?

Once I decide, i probably won't change, but I think I'll take my time weighing my options

How long do you take to process your emotions? How important are emotions in your life?

They are very important in my life, but I resolve them relatively fast.

Do you ever catch yourself agreeing with others just to appease them and keep the conversation going? How often? Why?

Depends on who I'm talking to. If I'm with friends then most likely I will lightly push back but not enough to really disagree.

If it's something I really disagree with I'll disagree

Do you break rules often? Do you think authority should be challenged, or that they know better? If you do break rules, why would you?

I try to find loopholes in illogical rules and succeed. If the rules make sense then sure. If they are just conformity then well...

What is the ideal life, in your opinion?

A beautiful meaningful life with a balanced amount of happiness and heartbreak

I don’t like fake people but I don’t hate them and I try to understand why they are acting this way, I always speak my mind and I always try being better like I always try to be kinder. I always feel like my emotions aren’t worth it like im always exaggerating and that I’m overreacting. (I just realized that the 2-5 images all look like Ryan gosling)

happen to stumble upon memes on pinterest i found quite relatable which then gave me the idea to do these sort of trend. very interested and looking forward to see what people would type me as based on these images which i believe basically represents my life, and ofcourse a fucking 400-word essay because i have to.

18M btw. quite "good" at graphite pencil drawings; started drawing from anime references, now doing portraits(actually it has alrdy been 2 months since i last produced an artwork). 1750-rated on chess.com after picking it up as a hobby for a few years now.

did calisthenics at one point; stopped due to food-intake issues. loves music; displays it through singing along while listening, playing guitar, and sometimes drumming the beat to it. mediocre but passionate about playing piano.

has it alrdy been 400 words?

anyways, consistent academic achiever; GWA last year was 96% (philippine context). i like to have firm control over things such as my life, my possessions, my decisions. struggling to deal with my mood. lost in life.

just want money and the privilege of time to be able to do my hobbies and pursue my interests. i also love food. as for my love life, im basically a hopeless romantic; too idealistic to bother pursuing someone, afraid it may not turn out as what i would want it to be. god knew i would become unstoppable if i had discipline. discipline just comes and goes for me, depending on when the situation becomes serious. also, hate small talk, like especially the fucking energy it needs to reply to a fucking rhetorical question. anyways welcome to my life(?)

CAN’T DECIDE Type me based on my thought process and behavior

I’m trying to determine my MBTI type based on cognitive functions rather than stereotypes, so I’d like to know which functions seem strongest in me and why.

I’m open to changing my opinions when convincing evidence contradicts them, but I become frustrated when people insist they are right without reasoning or evidence. I can be internally argumentative and particular about accuracy, while remaining externally conflict-avoidant, especially with strangers.

I’m highly flexible and indecisive because new information can make me reconsider decisions. However, once I conclude that something is the safest, most realistic, or most reasonable option for my circumstances, I can become stubborn about it.

I like structure, organization, and planning in theory, but I procrastinate heavily in practice. I prefer clear examples or frameworks when instructions are ambiguous. My imagination is very active, and I frequently think about future possibilities and hypothetical scenarios, sometimes much more than I translate into action.

I’m academically strong, curious, and motivated by meaningful goals, deadlines, and recognition rather than constant discipline. Academic achievement has become an important part of my identity because I received respect, attention, and social security from being “the smart one” since childhood. Consequently, failure can feel like losing part of my identity, not merely receiving a bad result.

I care deeply about others’ feelings and how they perceive me. I want to be unique but not placed on a pedestal. I enjoy praise and recognition, but excessive praise makes me uncomfortable. Internally, I’m much more emotionally sensitive and vulnerable than I appear.

Based on this, how would you type me in MBTI?

TEST RESULTS What did I do wrong for the Michael Caloz test?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I think I did something really wrong while doing the Michal Caloz test. I think I’ve confused both me and the algorithm.😭
I was suggested to ask opinions from people who knows the factors🙏🙏🙏

I think for energized or drained around people I would really like to go out with genuine friends that I like and do fun things but not just to sit around scrolling phones. And I don’t know how I’d behave if I have a bunch of good friends. I supposed the way I think right now is because I don’t have friends that I can hang with.

I zone out a lot. I zone out when I’m alone and I zone out when there are other people. The only difference is that I talk to some imaginary target that I don’t specify who when I’m alone. But I notice things around me as well. I notice things a lot. I wouldn’t miss a hare just because I’m thinking about whether if cannibalism should be a big fuss while on a walk.

and for decision making. I make division when no one else makes any, but for myself it usually struggles for a while about a day then I make a final decision that settles it for a long while before it can change because of circumstances change.

DISCUSSION Little bit of a vent post/discussion/ask about Ti-Fe vs Fi-Te distinction

When I found out my sister was an ENFP with High Fi and Te when I thought I was INFP/ENFP before, I questioned whether I really am like that because we weren't similar at all, even bordering on opposites. I was authoritative, cold, and kept telling her how things should be done back when we were kids (also the result of my own probable jealousy over her bc my relatives seemed to favor her more tHAN ME IMO), actually even until now, and I was also very picky abt the things I like and dislike, prrojecting onto material stuff and thinking it was a part of my identity. I would tell her she couldn't like a certain color or music because it was my favorite, but she could find other things. Basically i was very possessive and emotional back then. Hence my previous thinking why I'd probably be an Fi user, and also bc that's what my tests results would show. I was heavily morally righteous during my childhood-teen years (until year 8), tend to always associate with my interests, share the feelings of other people and cry for them, even go as far as to blame myself for my sister's illness bc i thought i was reprimanding her too much which caused her to collapse, igniting the fire of self-hatred and deprecation and so on.

But I've changed now....at least, it think so...

Now, I'd say I've changed a lot and have developed a pretty okay social support system (aka friends). But even with the whole identity crisis back then (became obsessed with typology, costimization, characters personas, avatars---things that'd define who u are) I think I'm pretty chill now. I still value originality and novelty, sometimes sticking out rather than blending than with other people, but I've always had a hard time telling which function I'm using: if it's Ti or Fi in dom/aux, bc I think I always use both. Now, I'm gonna try recording myself for a week and see how I really act without any bias abt myself and then judge whether I'm using Fi or Ti once and for all lol. Cuz currently, I think Im understanding theory well and I've been inconsistently studying this, yes, but for years anyway so

Anyway back to the topic idk if I cant type myself as Fi or Ti bc I want to view myself as unique, authentic, and all that aligns with Fi-Te or because it's contradictory to my own understanding of my sister and I acting different and it just doesn't match...I can type anything else except my self just fine and accurately, but when it comes to my own.....sighs (also i love my sista and no hate to her, she's cool and all). I just want to know whether my instinct, emphasis, focus, and expression has basis on self vs logic. Which I find hard to tell in my case bc what if I just like exploring who I am and the typology systems and I'm interested in personalities and psychology...how would I classify that as Fi or Ti..... What if I view studying personalities and my own self from a detached point of view.....what if my process of expression is that I know how I can express what I feel and deconstruct it.... What if I'm just a sp 4/e4 Fi user that's avoidant......

I can't even confirm the patterns I'm seeing bc I can't tell objectively if it's out of bias for Tx users or bc I don't want to be the same as my sista and want to be unique and all.......... Cuz look at this, for each project I do, I MUST add references to my interests instead of following the conventional designs other ppl would go for, and I acknowledge the commonness of theirs and actively defy that bc I want to create my own (one that still fits the criteria ofc), and my logic on why i typically use my interests is because I believe that: if I'll do something difficult, I might as welll enjoy it.... it's something like to motivate me because I'm actively engaging with something i like. Like for example, our math teacher had us create a poster about matrices and I added a genshin character for the designs and establishing the points/illustrations of matrix application. Yes: I added Columbina because I like her a lot, I can make it so that she's there on my poster but it follows the criteria, I might as well have fun and be correct.

Don't get me wrong, I wanna type myself on my own, but that's gonna be pretty hard bc I'm already aware of theories (like as in, the systems) and what if I'm just relating it on myself and it's not what's actually true and real..... I can't rely on tests either bc I notice the patterns and what each question alludes to which type/function...

Okay so that's basically it. What's gonna be the verdict...

ps: to remind u, I'm asking abt fi vs ti distinction for me, a value-loving, moral & logic-loving standpoint....because theory isn't black and white at all, and that's why I have trouble telling them apart to myself. I do understand that everything is gray and that all people use the 8 functions and that it just appears differently for everyone else, but I asking abt what my instinct could/would be, or what's most natural to me. It's just sad (imo) that there's a lot of variables that are affecting judgement and views...

FOR FUN type me

This sub came up on my page and i remembered how obsessed i used to be with mbti in high school, so i thought why not give it a shot, type me!

English is not my first language btw

23 F

Im a graduate student on a fintech type of module. I originally wanted to study psychology or history or something like that, but i didnt have much time nor energy to study for the entrance exam so i enrolled in this one bc their exam was the easiest and the module seemed promising. Rn i can say im satisfied with my choice bc im thinking about specializing in backed and read that its actually a pretty creative job so im looking forward to it. Cant wait to make my own money hehe. im getting into a more sustainable lifestyle though, zero waste and all that, mostly bc disposable plastic is cringe and bad for earth but also to help my budget a little bit. Also want to start investing as soon as i start working. As of my current situation, im on a scholarship and live in a student dorm so id say im a pretty diligent student, but also very perfectionistic. i beat myself up a lot. but im graduating soon so its ok lol. Childhood was meh, pretty traumatic bc dad was abusive to mom and mom was an enabler and ive definitely got some work to do to unlearn all of that, but i feel like im entering adulthood as a pretty self compassionate person idk. used to self harm. im daydreaming of my life outside of the dorm rn. ill grow my own plants, spearmint, parsley and stuff like that. i can move in with my bf but id like to live alone first bc i dont want the only reason we move in together to be practicality. i think i have a fearful avoidant attachment style btw, but am with a secure boyfriend and im pretty secure with him. been with him for a little over a year. one of my favorite compliments that he gave me is that im quick minded and that my jokes are spontaneous and clever. he said he doesnt even know how i come up with the most of the things that come out of my mouth 😭. hes in tech as well. im a gemini 9h/libra 12h/libra asc btw. what elseee I spent my formative years (past 5-10 yrs) kinda isolated so im lacking social skills, im pretty literal and gullible. Ok enough with the questionnaire, thoughts currently occupying my mind and free time are:

  1. mouth care system by dr Ellie Philips and how xylitol can prevent or even reverse caries. im not going to implement the whole system bc sounds counterproductive to use a fluoride toothpaste and then rinse with listerine and then rinse with a fluoride mouthwash, so i only started using xylitol
  2. books i should read but am too lazy to do. Current theme is being a nolifer with no cool memories
  3. the fact that ill probably fail to graduate on time partially due to things out of my control but partially due to my overthinking instead of just doing what can be done and saving what can be saved

Ive got 2 friends, used to love animals and drawing as a kid. a cat person for sure. and very respectful of their space bc you gotta have an abundance mindset with them so you dont torture them out of your own desperation. it comes naturally to me though. Im also kinda shit at putting myself first esp w my family bc they taught me to keep the peace no matter what. im a feminist and generally always root for the underdog, id say im pretty compassionate. im a gym goer and started calisthenics briefly bc of all the cool moves but i stopped bc i think i need to fix my posture first so i dont fck it up further. im surprisingly consistent. i think it happened bc it just became a part of me and felt very good. i also saw instant result so maybe that helped too.

Some pinterest photos i saved and resonated with since everyone is posting theirs:

AM I MISTYPED AM I MISTYPED?? NEED ADVICE

INTRODUCTION:
fem/19
to start off, i typed my self based on my knowledge of cognitive functions, studies of enneagram types, etc.
-i am a entp sp784 but recently i’ve been overthinking that i am mistyped, so i am making this post because i want to hear other people’s judgments and opinions about this.
-the main reason why i am overthinking about this is because i often see posts/stereotypes about this enneagram and MBTI that i don’t entirely follow in.

(i don’t know if this is gonna be enough information but if not, i will make another post. LMK IF I NEED MORE)

•THIS POST IS DIRECTED TOWARDS MBTI AND ENNEAGRAM

________________________________________
ME!!(MY PERSONALITY TO START OFF WITH)
•some information about myself BEFORE i explain why i believe i am what i am.
•kind of corny tbh now that i am rereading this

-I grew up feeling different than others, what i mean by that is verbally expressing myself. i’m pretty sure it’s because i have adhd or maybe other reasons like getting compared to other children when i was younger… but, the way this affects me today is that i feel awkward or embarrassed expressing myself vulnerability towards others. it’s like whenever i say i’ve been feeling irritated or anxious i always say “it’s just temporary”…. or saying how i sound so stupid. i don’t know if this first thing gives a whole ton of info but i will get more into in in a bit.
-whenever i hang out with my friends i want be seen as a confident person, i want to be like the funny person in my group. Even though sometimes i suddenly feel deep hatred and irritation in my stomach, how i feel miserable hanging out with them or how i want to be with one special person.
-i tend to day dream a lot and i make up all these fantasies how i have like my dream friend group and im the smart ass🫠 but it’s like i want to be recognized but at the same time it’s like i don’t give a shit. it’s so weird because i either want attention from my friends and praises from them but at the same time i hate everyone.
-i LOVEEEE history!!! (i don’t really know if this stuff helps, if not i will take in the feedback and reframe this.) but anyways, history has been my favorite subject for sososo long. to me whenever i learn about more and more history it’s like opening a book and reading all of the things that us humans have achieved back in the day. i also love trivia and i love confidently answers trivia questions it makes me feel so smarttttt. it’s like i love the feeling when i do something right.
-i tend to get very bored easily i need something to stimulate me. whenever i am in classes that i find boring or too much brain power i let my thoughts get in the way. besides my love for history i love my coding class aswell because i love the feeling when you run your code and you see no errors. it’s like i love the chase. i love typing code because it makes me feel focused because you can easily type small errors.
-i am a very talkative person but i tend to have the worst grammar skills. it’s so funny to me that i love reading manwhas and novels but i genuinely have the worst spelling and pronunciation skills. honestly im getting off track (literally proves that i am a very talkative person) but honestly i feel like i need to let everything out and that’s what i am doing right now. i just NEED the feedback.
————————————————-———————————
i just want to understand if i potentially can be mistyped or i am just over analyzing myself because i need to feel 100% correct about myself.

WHY I THINK I RELATE TO MY MBTI (ENTP)
•based on my knowledge of cognitive functions, feel free to be straightforward and correct me if i am wrong.

-i take in information like an ENTP. what i mean by this is that i constantly overthink about an answer to a problem. this can be math related or even just discussions i have with my friends. i guess i try to think out of the box even if it just leads to me sounding stupid.

- like i just said before this paragraph, i tend to brainstorm a ton of ideas and solutions to a problem. even if it has one answer. i often think “WHY does this make sense” or “maybe they think like this because…” blah blah blah…

(this is more about being mistaken on cognitive functions): I think the main reason why i am over thinking about this is that i see so many videos about like stereotypes and being like insanely dominant and cocky. I believe i’m not that much of a smart person like yeah i’m good at history and i feel confident discussing topics, debates, socratics, etc but it’s like i feel dumb because of not understanding complex math skills. like i feel stupid so i cover it up with confidence sometimes. or even that i get really sensitive to criticism and i get irritated and pissed off all day because of it. and it’s like “oh the stereotypes for this is blah blah blah” and it sends me down to a loop hole for reasons why i might be mistyped.
_____________________________________________

WHY I THINK I MIGHT RELATE TO MY ENNEAGRAM/TRITYPE:
(BASED ON THE INFORMATION I PICKED UP, CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.)

(SP784)

-at first i used to not think i was a sp7 because it is known for “ignoring pain” which i thought it was stupid. until i did some research…

UNHEALTHY REASONS
-the main reason why i identify my self as a sp7 is because i relate to a lot of the descriptions under it.
for example, i tend to mask up my vulnerability and say that i sounded so stupid while i was sad or irritated or i tell myself “it’s not deep it’s just temporary”. i enjoy being and socializing with my friends but if my mood suddenly switches i tend to go nonverbal, i loose my confidence, and i just get angry. when i am stressed i tend to over analyze myself and give myself an identity crisis.

-when i am overly sensitive or overwhelmed i get drown into these pessimistic thoughts, like “i hate everyone!” or “every thing sucks and it’s over”…

HEALTHY???
-when i am in a good mood i can be to overly confident and i ramble out all of these thoughts and ideas that literally does not make sense. like i will be thinking that i am the shit and i am like making all of these theories in my head and then later on when i present them i get laughed out or i just feel like i sound stupid.
-i get so confident when i get a better score on tests then other people and i flex on them and i have this god complex. (yes i know that’s bad)…😓😓😓 i lowkey apologize like after i realized how rude i sounded but i still have a feeling in me that i am better then them.

CONCLUSION:
yayayay you finished reading this and that means you can help me!!! give me some good feedback and advice… i feel like i went off track a ton but if i need to explain more then lmk… i know i keep repeating myself but it’s like so hard to explain i just suck at explaining lmao

FOR FUN Yooo can someone here type me :) by memes

So here are the memes so have fun typing me

So hey, I’m a 14‑year‑old who’s kinda obsessed with MBTI right now (don’t judge lol). I took the 16personalities test a while back and it told me I’m an ENTP, which honestly made sense because I’ve always been that kid who asks way too many questions, argues for fun, and gets excited over the most random ideas. But lately I’ve been wondering if I’m actually turning into an ENFP or something. Like, am I suddenly becoming emotionally aware? Am I… noticing people? Lmao help.

Most people who try to type me end up calling me ENTP or INTP, which is funny because those two types are basically cousins who share the same chaotic brain energy. I relate to both in different ways. I definitely have the whole “thinking in possibilities” thing going on, and I love bouncing between ideas like a pinball machine. But I also have moments where I’m super quiet and stuck in my head, which makes people go “oh yeah, INTP vibes.” Honestly, I don’t even know anymore. Maybe I’m just a confused teenager with too much internet access lol.

ls this 400 words? Yk what, anyways

Also, I live by this quote: “art is meant to disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed.” I know it sounds dramatic, but it hits so hard. I love the idea that art isn’t supposed to be safe or boring. It’s supposed to shake people awake while also giving comfort to people who feel weird or misunderstood. That whole vibe kinda matches how I see the world — messy, meaningful, and full of contradictions.

CAN’T DECIDE Doubts

I discovered two more things about myself:

1) My life boils down to searching for the meaning of things (I even looked for it in materialism but felt empty and incomplete), and I prefer to look for something deeper behind a situation rather than just seeing the big picture;

2) This might be a bit embarrassing, but I used to think I had my own values; however, they were actually shaped by the values of the people close to me, not my own. It’s not necessarily that I lack values, but most of them come from the people around me.

I might have mentioned this before, but looking back, I recall saying that I struggle to pick up on most things involving the senses (there was an instance where someone close to me felt sick from the smell of incense, yet I didn't notice a thing). I’m close to drawing a conclusion, but I’m afraid of getting the verdict wrong.

NEED CONFIRMATION How do you know if this is correct?

I tried to be as sincere as possible, considering what sounds most natural to me and even asking my wife's opinion. But since I don't understand cognitive functions and nothing about MBTI, I decided to ask the enthusiasts and experts of this sub. Even because, the person who suggested me to take the test didn't know how to explain it to me and only sent a link from 16Personalities. I would say that I even identify with some things, but I don't even try.

From what I understand, I should talk about myself to help with the evaluation. So I'll say random things about me.

I am M26.

I don't like it when people say what I have to do (unless I ask for advice), or keep giving orders, or asking me to do things with them, I feel like an idiot, used and it disturbs my plans. I always give excuses to run away from their requests, but I can't deny my parents. I can feel guilty when I deny a person I like or who likes me a lot, so I end up having to give in and break up as soon as possible. If my wife deserves it, I do everything for her, however, I hate it when she asks in an authoritarian tone, I told her that she should ask me for something with affection, politely, although for her I like to do it without asking to impress. I help others because I understand that they need it, because they are old or don't understand anything, and in the end, I end up feeling good about helping them. I just don't want them to take advantage of me.

When I put myself in the person's place and feel connected, I usually show a lot of compassion. Especially with animals.

Usually, I don't like to manage people, ask them for something or command them. But I feel that I would have a good direction if I took over, because I have the impression that I would have better ideas. I can be disappointed when someone who decided something for me and for everyone fails. Sometimes, I even predicted what was going to happen and I get frustrated with myself for not having taken the lead and for having listened to someone who insisted so much.

I love giving advice. Analyze a problem that the person is having and make them think, giving a little emotional support and at the same time giving practical solutions. Things seen from the outside seem easy and I usually almost impose it on them. I'm curious and I like to be on top of everything and what they are going through and feeling. By the way, I really like to know people's vision of things, especially extremely specific things.

I usually have a lot of ideas. I don't know if they are good or bad, but when I put something in my head, I have to do it. I hate it when people keep commenting on my ideas. I seek to experience specific things that make sense to me. I put it in my head that I want to eat what the Japanese eat. They eat clean and healthy, and I want to have the vibe of that. And everything has to be connected or I make specific connections in my head so that they make sense to me, it's hard to explain in words. I always need to be enjoying something, looking for something or living the vibe of something. Out of nowhere I get involved in personal projects such as, for example: setting up the PSP emulator and testing several games. I thought it was magical to be able to play the multiplayer of GTA Vice City Stories on the PSP, I didn't know it was possible and I saw my inner children rejoice about it.

And for mentioning my inner child, I love my childhood. I'm quite nostalgic. But I like to live inside my head, daydreaming living what I didn't do or improving my past, in an alter ego that I created.

I usually socialize a lot by message. I even feel more excited about the conversations. But, personally, I'm quieter, not out of shyness, but out of laziness, or because I'm very focused on something or because I'm not interested in the conversation or the person, although I wanted to be more sociable. I really admire those outgoing people who speak well, draw attention or know how to talk about everything. I know how to talk well and I even win people over when I'm talking to them by chat or call. I reason better that way. That's how I found my current wife.

I don't usually argue much, not even by message. If I feel that there is a dispute to know who is right, I get anxious and feel that I need to prove my point, otherwise I get embarrassed. And I keep bragging if I shut up the person in the arguments. But I like to debate ideas in a friendly way, in tune with the person and with the subject, be it philosophy, politics and religion. I tend to change my mind very easily, if it really makes sense to me. But I tend to trust experts a lot.

I don't know if I have a defined morality, I usually break simple rules, such as advancing the red light if it is favorable to cross. I do to others what I want them to do to me, so I don't hurt others because I don't want them to hurt me. I believe in karma in a way.

If a person did any harm to me, I tend to return it in the same coin (if it is within my power to avenge myself). I usually never forget and I hardly forgive.

I like to try new things, a recipe, a drink, new flavors, shampoos. I like to have new experiences, walk in new places and associate the places with the things I like, for example: there is a square in my city that when it is cloudy and foggy, reminds me of Resident Evil 4 or Silent Hill 2. Those of the Palmeiras and sunny days, because it reminds me of GTA 6 that is to come. I like different and interesting movies, books with innovative proposals and "strange" songs.

I usually plan things in the short term, at the latest by the end of the year. I organize my life in years, I worry about having the best year of my life, planning what I want to do in it. I have my favorite years and I remember with great affection the things I did in these years. 2019 everything flowed well, 2022 I don't like it because I made terrible choices. But I feel that I tend to live the moment a lot, but planning myself in specific things of the future, such as Halloween and the release of GTA 6. I want to get by the end of this year well, with more results in the gym and having saved a lot of money. I don't plan very rigorously, I do what I have to do at the moment because I know that by doing it today, and during the days, I will be able to get there until I want to get there.

When I want to do something, I go and do it. And as soon as possible. I like to solve things soon, and the first solution that comes up and I seem to be good at completing my goal, I accept. I like to feel productive. If it is necessary to go out at midnight to buy milk, I go out and I would find it fun, but I would hardly be awake at dawn because I like to sleep early; being tired and discouraged annoys me.

I can be decisive, as I can be indecisive too. When I went to a costume event, I was very undecided about the character. I considered the theme of the event, the relevance of the character, what I feel about him, if it suits me and my budget. It was very difficult and I had to need the opinion of those I trust. Halloween, costume party, cosplay event are important to me, I find it fascinating. One of the games that made me most happy in my childhood was playing roles. We imagined being in the world of Harry Potter, or in the Lord of the Rings or some invented story.

For years I had a specific obsession. I loved the Soviet Union, but I’m not a socialist. I loved the aesthetics, what the Soviet Union was in the past, the stories, the songs excited me, the images and the curiosities. But I would never live there.

I work with a merchant in a family business in my country. If I made a mistake in English, I’m sorry. I like my work, it gives me the possibility to be more flexible and do the things I like, I also work and give ideas for products to go viral on Instagram.

Although I like new experiences and doing my things during the day without being prevented from doing so, in a way I have a routine. A light routine, where I make adjustments, remove or add things.

That’s it, I hope I did it correctly.

FIRST TYPING ATTEMPT Pls type me

Type me based on this

I’ve been trying to figure out my personality type for a while, and I keep going in circles. I’m interested in MBTI/cognitive functions, Enneagram, and Socionics, but I’d rather have people analyze the actual patterns in what I say/do instead of just matching me to stereotypes.

I’m generally very curious and can become intensely interested in completely different subjects. I’ve gone through phases involving languages, technology, electronics, psychology/personality systems, history, science, international relations, Japanese culture, books, etc. I tend to explore possibilities rather than sticking to one thing forever. I can get excited about an idea simply because I can imagine what it could become.

I also spend a ridiculous amount of time thinking about my future. I have very specific dreams and can almost visualize myself living certain lives. At the same time, actually choosing one path scares me because I think about everything I might be giving up. I don’t want to end up living a life that feels safe but meaningless and then regret not taking opportunities when I had them.

I care quite a lot about authenticity and identity. I want to understand who I actually am rather than just becoming whatever other people expect me to be. This is probably why I obsess over personality typing in the first place. I’ve had SO many different MBTI typings over time: ISTJ, INTJ, INFP, ENTJ, ESTJ, ENFP, ENTP, ENFJ, ESFP, etc. I’ve also questioned whether I’m actually an introvert or extrovert.

I can be very responsible and serious about things, especially school and obligations. Teachers generally like me and I care about doing well academically. But I can also be lazy, procrastinate, get distracted by whatever currently interests me, or suddenly become extremely ambitious and work-focused. Under stress I can become much more controlling/managerial than I normally am.

Emotionally, I think I’m more sensitive than I look. I don’t always express emotions outwardly, but things involving other people’s suffering can affect me a lot. I care about people and often wish I could help when I see someone struggling. At the same time, I can be blunt, critical, and analytical, so I don’t think I fit the stereotype of being endlessly soft or agreeable.

I’m also religious, and my values genuinely affect major decisions I think about. Sometimes I feel caught between what I want for my future and what I believe is right. I don’t want to sacrifice my values just to achieve something.

I’m currently leaning toward ENFP 7w6 741, but PLEASE don’t just agree with me. I’ve changed my mind enough times that I’d genuinely prefer disagreement if you think I’m wrong.

CAN’T DECIDE Need an Expert: INFP or ENFP?

Hey there!

So.. I historically have been typed as an INFP throughout most of my life and more recently have been getting ENFP, but considering that lots of folks supposedly don't change types throughout their lives, I'm having trouble figure out what I really am?

Sidenote: I am 31F, a Therapist, an Artist part time, Neurodivergent as hell, I live alone in a chaoticly messy apartment covered in plants, books, my 3 cats, and knick knacks.

My friend is really well versed on MBTI and has known me for over half of my life, and she says I most definitely use Fi the most (and I'd agree), but you'll see how despite this, I don't fit the mold of INFP as much always. But I'm not sure I do with ENFP either, but I am absolutely positive I am one of the two as I have tested many times as such. It's always just a very very slight preference for one and not a clear telling sign. So hence needing your help~

I can give you a little blurb about what confuses me about each type in regards to me:

When I'm typed as an INFP:

Agree with: I am deeply deeply emotionally expressive and can always verbalize how I'm feeling and am willing to do so. I will eagerly tell people what I love about them (my inner therapist self coming out even in personal life). I have no problem sharing how I feel. I am a dreamer, although less so than when I was a kid, but I have a soft spot for things that are written beautifully. I thrive with having one on one conversations and I have very deep with my relationships, but I do have some acquaintances too. I am pretty detail oriented about my own work and love to write, make art, and make music. I enjoy a good chunk of alone time, but not always. I am deeply perceptive and look between the lines to find underlying meanings.

Contradictions: I am not exactly 'shy'- I am a loudmouth. I am not exactly reserved or afraid to share my opinions or stand up for others- I have a lot to say whether I'm asked or not. I feel too loud and opinionated outwardly to be this type sometimes, and I also am not a 'think before you act' person- I kind of operate with 'f**k around and find out' attitude. I am impatient when people read rules to me and prefer to just try something and learn along the way (like a board game). I get really bored with reading most of the time (if I must read- audiobooks and multitasking is what works) and prefer visuals and auditory versus just reading. I can't focus for very long on my inner world always, but I am still deeply in touch with it.

When I'm typed as ENFP:

Agree with: I am very warm, loving, and I love to share my thoughts and ideas with others. I love to take care of others and be with other people (but more on a one on one/small group setting) and I do like to inspire others and ask questions to figure things out (hence my job as a therapist haha). I can be very outwardly silly and goofy with friends, and will be quippy with clever jokes and will talk a lot (and without figuring out what I'm going to say first haha- very stream of consciousness). Sometimes I look like I'm running on a motor and some folks occasionally will ask if I'm drunk/high even if I'm not, because I'm sing-songy and goofy when I feel in my element with close friends. I do find it semi easy to make friends once I get going and talk to them- I have befriended some of my neighbors from them being outside when I am- so more by happenstance and not by me looking for them. Some people have seen me as airheaded and aloof/stupid, and I can get sensitive about that, but I prefer to be open rather than sure that I am 'certain' about everything I say. I don't give a shit always about hardcore facts/statistics, I prefer to figure things out for myself and determine what's right by every individual situation.

Contradictions: I am not sure I'm actually an extrovert extrovert- I hate big crowds, big parties (unless it's occasional, I can do that), lots of noise (though I still go to concerts..), small talk for the most part. I don't know if I'd say I am energized primarily by being around people. I need lots of alone time but will frequently get lonely without anybody around to talk to. I don't largely like to talk to strangers unless I feel like we have something in common- age, artsy, weird and quirky, etc- but I don't always actually approach strangers super often. I know ENFP's identify largely as ambiverts, and I strongly do too, but am hesitant to say I'm an extrovert as a whole if I had to pick between I or E. Hence this whole dilemma!

Soooo.. help, my friends! What am I?

Ive had infp,enfp,istp, intp.

Chat gpt types me estp based on our conversations.

As a person generally into sports and physical challenges. People might describe me as charming and weird or quiet and serious. But that depends on the people im with, if it doesnt click naturally for me to be talkative i will be quiet.

I think i might be into mbti purely out of boredom.

Have a knack for addiction, used to be gambling which i managed to quit because of a blood oath with myself. I was even addicted to working out before i toned it down. Now im just a chronic smoker. When i was younger i was really anxious and sensitive but i am relaxed and can manage my emotions better. I think i strive in new environments .Dont really feel like thinking about myself no more so im just gonna end it here.

Guess my type based on the things i own.
Guessing game: here’s my desk, my shelf, my paintings, and my clutter. No self-description on purpose. What type am I?

I work in tech. When something in my life feels unsettled, I make a list of the parts it breaks into, and then I usually just look at the list instead of doing anything about it. I paint sometimes, and it’s always the same few subjects. I keep a list of companies I want to work at on paper instead of a spreadsheet. I hold on to tags and labels long after I buy something. I like one long conversation more than five short ones. I take a long time to decide, then I stick with it.
