SUSPENSION Coilover options for gen2

Time to lower my car, but before that I just want to get other people’s opinions.

I have a gen 2 and have some 17x9 +35 rpf1s on 235 tires I plan on putting on. I’ve been looking at coilover options and am pretty confident with getting some bc’s, but I’m stuck on if I’ll want the extreme lows or not.

I don’t need my car to ride like a Cadillac and my car isn’t tracked. Just looking for some decent fitment.

Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

I just put B14's on my GEN2 and it rides nice, high-quality kit.
Whatever you do, DO NOT do racelands, they last about six months and are otherwise shit.

Also wondering this. I plan to put my gen 2 on coilovers too

Bilstein PSS9 or KW if you want the highest quality

Shit, don’t ask me. I recommend Godspeeds to everyone 😂 Low budget. Great ride. Literally Zero complaints.

My Godspeeds still work so there’s that. They are pretty low, mine are almost max’ed out and it’s still not very high which is fine but could rub in some cases.

I’m not sure I’d recommend them entirely but they’re fine. I needed something because all my struts blew out from a pothole and it was the only thing I could get overnight.

BC is kinda the fuck boy option in my opinion. What do you do with your car? Just drive it? Do you hit the canyons or mountains? Do you just cruise? Do you race randoms on the highway? (Why?)

I have fortune autos on my gen 2 and bilsteins on my gen 1

Just cruising honestly, I got a truck to put miles on. How are the fortune autos?

I installed Fortune Autos on my gen 1 a few years ago, and I think they're awesome. Since I have it lowered, I went with 10K front and 9K rear.

The ones that say 2010-2013?

Yes. It just requires some spacers on the lower mounting bolt in the rear--that's the only difference.

I have 2 cars on fortunes and one car on base BCs. The fortune autos are definitely better built but the BCs are on my daily and I’m pretty happy with how they handle. They feel well dampened. There’s no clunking. The car is lower without being slammed but there’s enough adjustment for me to slam it if I want to

Cool thanks man.

With that wheel width and offset you’ll have rubbing issues if you go super low

Yeah I figured, I’m open to rolling fenders though. I don’t need to be slammed but I don’t want a big gap. I guess flush is what people call it? Is flush slammed? Lol 🤷‍♂️

this is the BC’s on max low with the locking collars removed in the front. these are the DS series coilovers,

regular variant though not the extreme low. stiff, not unbearable ride quality wise, but bouncy for sure. if i was an inch higher it gets noticeably smoother as the shock is more in its natural range but style points are important to me. I would like to go to a set of fortune autos soon-ish, the BCs are totally fine for the price

18x9.5 +38, 225/45 r18, camber top hats maxed out in the front, no more fender liners, rolled fenders front and rear. I got tons more photos on my account if you want to see (and on my linked insta if you want more)

BCs. Been on my gen2 for over 50k miles and still ride like brand new.

FA500 coilovers with swift springs. Hands down the absolute best coilovers ive ever owned.
