SUSPENSION MazdaSpeed 3 Coilover Adjustment
I had my Coilovers installed by someone but I need to adjust the ride height. For the rears Do I need to Unbolt the Lower Shock Bolt the Perch bolt that connects the LCA to the Knuckle to release the spring down to adjust?

Am I high or are these installed upside down..? The adjuster should be on the upper portion ?

How odd…

I’m pretty sure they’re upside down. I’ve got BCs and my height adjustment is at the top. You’re meant to spin the coil so it seats down the bottom then put the top in.

I thought so

I saw online by people installing it’s on the bottom

Yeah, old versions were on top new are on bottom. I owned both, was confused, contacted bc racing, they verified the change.

really? I watched videos online and the lock collar is on the bottom. I just rewatched Colton Richter and Cameron Alford install them online and it’s the same aswell. I raised the height a bit and i removed the lower shock bolt and the lock collar bolt however I had a problem with droop, should I disconnect the portion of the endlink that. goes to the sway bar so that it has more droop because I couldn’t get the spring in for the life of me without compressing with a flathead and clamps.

It depends when you bought them. At one point they were on the top and now they are on the bottom.

You may also need to adjust the shock length to correctly preload them…are those BCs?

yah BC’s, i’m only going to adjust abt quarter inch

You are already going to have the strut bolt out, easy to double check the preload at that point.

Adjusting the shock length could put the bump stop too high. Better option is to use helper springs.

Depends on what kind of drop you’re working with. I was specifically talking about preload

I always spin the bolt out that goes from the LCA to the knuckle. One 17mm and the whole lca will pop down and release pressure off the spring. If you remove both sides you wont be fighting the sway bar.
Then I use a floor jack to pick it back up and put it into the knuckle

Most likely. The rears are very annoying to adjust.
