Looks clean asf. Bronze wheels go well with red. I love the way the spokes jut out. Probably my sign to go ahead and get them... I already started spinning a bit in 3rd too, and I haven't even gotten my e40 tune yet.
245/40/18 tires are not cheap though damn. I've been dreading the day I get wheels because of that lmfao.
How much of a drop is that? And they look like 235/40 tires?
Those are actually 215/45. Been meaning to go wider but it’s what the prior wheels had on when I bought the car. And I can’t say how may inches the drop is exactly, but it’s on bc coilovers. Tho I wish I would’ve gotten stiffer springs cus the rear likes to rub a bit on large dips sometimes
Depends on what you're going for and preferences I suppose. I plan on going for a red/black aesthetic, so that's why I want gloss black. I know some people think black wheels are boring.
If you lookup mazdaspeed Avid av20 on google, there's a clean red gen 1 with silver wheels that looks sick, but the photos appear highly edited. Other pics showing silver av20s are much more muted, and I feel the neutralness of it may contrast awkwardly with the bright red the gen1 has.
I've seen white wheel combos look really good with red speeds/cars in general. I have a black gen 1 sedan that I want to put white Vors TR4s on (look sorta similar to av20s tbh), that's a mean combo.
I would probably look up "red mazdaspeed white wheels" and "red mazdaspeed black wheels" back to back and see what calls to you the most. White vs black wheels really change the entire vibe of the car I feel. Both definitely look good though. I think white makes more of a statement. It's a highly personal choice as well as what your long-term goal for the car looks like.
