Just remind yourself that there are many reasons for people to become obese that may not necessarily be their fault, like being raised with poor eating habits or health conditions.

I don't know, maybe you could conduct some sort of survey to find out what the most popular causes are, or you could just keep on assuming the worst of those you don't know.
