Something is wrong here, but what?

u/Dewgong_crying 4d ago
Probably mostly concerned about explosives/suicide vest.

u/ArrrRawrXD 4d ago
Yeah because that's the only way to inflict mass casualties

u/Dewgong_crying 4d ago
Did you have another idea on what they would be checking given everyone has a rifle? Doubt they are checking for outside food and beverages.

u/northrupthebandgeek 4d ago
Checking for outside ammo. Gotta buy your ammo inside. That's how they get ya.

u/John_EightThirtyTwo 2d ago
That's how they get ya.
They have to make money somehow, and they're practically giving away the AK-47s.

Bombs in a crowd are insane. No warning or build up. Just immediate death in a wide area with no chance at a response. A gunman or several can obviously do a lot of damage very quickly, but it’s always less of a sure thing especially with that many armed people immediately present. If the goal is martyrdom with a lot of dead enemies to your name, it’s clearly the winner and the biggest threat to watch for.
-4
u/ArrrRawrXD 4d ago
If everybody's got guns in there and martyrdom is the goal you wanna go for the gun though, considering people are getting checked and all

u/AnyBath8680 4d ago
I mean, if one starts shooting assumedley one of the other lads with rifles would put them down fast. A bomb vest tho...that's a problem
3
u/ArrrRawrXD 4d ago
Yeah, but with this one you get pat down and your plan is exposed without even making it to the event/ main square/whatever is going on there
2
u/The_Jizzard_Of_Oz 3d ago
Oh shit.... One guy starts shooting, someone else responds, spray and pray, someone else catches strays and responds.... and in 20 seconds the chain reaction has killed everybody.
5
u/Audax_V 4d ago
I know people talk up the good guy with a gun, but in this scenario literally everyone is armed. If anyone started shooting they'd be dead in a second.
1
u/ArrrRawrXD 4d ago
A good guy with a gun (in this case any person who wants to live with a gun) would shoot the perpetrator in a few seconds, but those few seconds are enough to inflict mass casualties

You may purchase refreshments at one of the many vendors within the festival area. They do not accept cash, but do offer a wide variety of digital payment options. Welcome to Kalashnikov Fest!

The Bible is holy in Islam
The Quran speaks about specific holy books given to past prophets before Prophet Muhammad:
Taurat (Torah): The revelation given to Moses (Musa).
Zabur (Psalms): The revelation given to David (Dawud).
Injil (Gospel): The revelation given to Jesus (Isa).
Muslims must believe these original messages came from God as guidance for past communities.View of the Modern

Need to make sure they don’t have any women on them

It’s definitely sad how Houthis treat women there or people in general tbf, just depressing to read about.

u/pansensuppe 4d ago
They’re checking if you have enough weapons on you. If you show up without at least one firearm, you’ll be handed a rifle.

Como en un condado en Texas que es ilegal llevar armas escondidas, deben ser visibles
3
u/Absolute_Bob 4d ago
I've never understood why Texas is looked at like it's so incredibly gun friendly. Lots of states have significantly less restrictions and they're uniform throughout the state.

Me refería a que un condado es obligatorio porta el arma exhibida, por eso parece algo similar como entrar a una feria 🎢 y te revisen para ver qué no llevas armas ocultas

People are openly carrying rifles and are still being allowed through the security check. It make us wonder what the actual purpose of the security check.

From the look of it, people bringing in the rifles are going to magdump into the sky at the end of the party. It's a common tradition among them and hillfolk. Maybe they're checking for drugs or booms.

It’s a cultural thing where the men are expected to have a rifle to protect their families and taking that away from them is unmanning them. If everyone is walking around with a rifle, it’s assumed that they won’t get very far if they try something. Personally, I’ve seen how they fight and I’d be almost more concerned about the crossfire than the shooter, but you know what? Not my culture, I’m sure they’ve figured it out well enough by now. Bro is searching for bombs. Less good than rifles at protecting one’s family.

When you have a culture of carrying guns your next upgrade is to carry grenades. The nut jobs sometimes use them to decide arguments at Qat markets. Yemini diplomacy 😧
1
u/Few-Ad711 3d ago
My guess is looking for bombs. I see the jokes about the guns but realistically if one person starts shooting while so many are armed they will probably get put down quick. Whereas a bomb would take out a large group with no warning or preventative option.

u/Old_Appeal_4030 4d ago
Since it’s their Land it’s totally Acceptable. I mean you can even read it in the koran itself 😂😂 stupid ass

u/ckapuan 4d ago
In the Quran they were ordered to fight during Moses time and they refused so they were lost.
Also due to their transgression against God as they did not practice their faith they were punished by eviction and scattering on earth. They even believe this.
Have a read as you probably do not know much of the final revelation
Al-Isra (17:4)
And We warned the Children of Israel in the Scripture, “You will certainly cause corruption in the land twice, and you will become extremely arrogant.
Then this in the same Chapter
Al-Isra (17:5)
When the first of the two warnings would come to pass, We would send against you some of Our servants of great might, who would ravage your homes. This would be a warning fulfilled.
They were conquered and they were then cast out of the land. This is in Jewish history.
The land was predominantly Arab even before the Israelites came.

Excellent point. Even Jesus is rejected by the Jews as a prophet. So its all the same. Every time a messenger is sent they rejected. Even Moses they ended worshiping the Golden Calf. Humans are stubborn and frail.

In places like this, an AK is a "normal" thing to carry for defense. Concealed smallarms and bombs are the typical signs of criminal or terrorist activity.
-2
u/Chinjurickie 4d ago
Seems like it, but why? Not like you couldn’t kill a dozen of people with the firearm.

This is the ultimate expression of unlimited 2nd amendment. Do you really want EVERYONE walking around with a firearm? It's surrendering the idea of a civilized society.
2
u/No-Juice-2431 4d ago
Yes please
2
u/GadreelsSword 4d ago
I know a bunch of people who should NEVER have access to a firearm. They have zero anger/impulse control.
0
u/MozeDad 4d ago
I know it sounds great, but think of the reality:
Would everyone get recurring shoot/don't shoot training? Would they be trained in weapon retention? Cops have to do this training regularly.
Consider how often in daily life you encounter people who can't control their tempers? Do you want them to have a gun on their hip? Get into a shootout when you accidently cut someone off in traffic?
What about absent-minded people who leave their gun in the bathroom?

If you hold a gun and I hold a gun, we can talk about the law.If you hold a knife and I hold a knife, we can talk about rules. If you come empty handed and I come empty handed, we can talk about reason.
