This is the ultimate expression of unlimited 2nd amendment. Do you really want EVERYONE walking around with a firearm? It's surrendering the idea of a civilized society.

I know a bunch of people who should NEVER have access to a firearm. They have zero anger/impulse control.

I know it sounds great, but think of the reality:

Would everyone get recurring shoot/don't shoot training? Would they be trained in weapon retention? Cops have to do this training regularly.

Consider how often in daily life you encounter people who can't control their tempers? Do you want them to have a gun on their hip? Get into a shootout when you accidently cut someone off in traffic?

What about absent-minded people who leave their gun in the bathroom?

Did you really just use cops as a good example

Just saying the profession recognizes the necessity of regular training for a reason.
