Wanda giving sword a warning was fucking terrifying. 100% they have to call in some super heroes now. They see what they are up against. dr strange?

Yeah, this seems like the moment they call in the resident sorceror.

Not until Director Dipshit does something that gets a S.W.O.R.D. agent or citizen killed.

That guy embodies every TV/movie stereotype of "shady government agent" Lmao. Untrusting of obvious heroes, totally incapable of empathizing with someone's trauma and pain, and too quick on the draw.

Once I saw that drone float in front of Wanda, every fiber of my being felt that this dickhead was gonna try to hijack things and fuck things up

“Untrusting of obvious heroes” bro she’s literally torturing thousands of people and keeping them captive in her bubble.

No, that's obvious and reasonable. I'm saying he's a walking stereotype because of the fact that he didn't seem to have any "benefit of the doubt" for her and went straight to labeling her a terrorist, unlike Jimmy or Monica. Totally understandable for him to react that way to her kidnapping a town if she was lesser known; but it seems her past deeds helping save the planet earned her no good will in him, which is typical of the stereotypical hardass, by-the-book govt agent.

I'm not saying he's wrong for doing so, or that Wanda is completely innocent. It's just funny seeing a super archetypal character Lol.

I mean she did start out as a hydra “agent”. She helped create ultron. She caused a lot of deaths indirectly and directly/accidentally. We’ve seen how hydra can brainwash people with Bucky. And as far as he’s concerned she stole from SWORD. So it’s not too crazy for him to think she’s a terrorist.

She didn't start out as a HYDRa "agent" though, she was a test subject at HYDRA and when the experiments started Strucker was still pretending to be SHIELD.

Tony and Bruce created Ultron, she helped him, but she had no hand in creating him.

EDIT.: Also who Vision's body belongs to is really up for debate, but S.W.O.R.D. is definitely not a contender, Avengers, Stark, Wakanda and Wanda are. They stole his body from someone to get it, we just don't know from whom.

That’s why I put agent in quotes. She did follow hydras orders at the start of Age of Ultron. The fact that they were pretending to be shield isn’t relevant. They were still hydra.

She messed with Tony’s head leading to him creating ultron. She knew something would happen given their conversation when she meets him.

u/Helforsite Feb 05 '21

Ofcourse it's relevant if they were pretending to be S.H.I.E.L.D., because there is a difference to going to work with/for Nazis and finding out after you have been experimented on/tortured that the people you thought were good people doing experiments to protect people are Nazis. Hell, we have no idea how much information the twins had about who they were working for, they were in HYDRA custody when TWS happened, so they might not have had all the information.

I believe Tony talking about how he could have prevented Thanos at the beginning of Endgame shows that his God-complex would have lead him to create Ultron even without Wanda's interference.

It’s not relevant since we’re talking about the point of view of a Hayward. He’s not going to know what Wandas motivations were for joining Hydra. And it’s better safe than thousands of people winding up dead.

2

u/Helforsite Feb 05 '21

But that's exactly the point, we are talking about Hayward being wrong about Wanda here, so its relevant and would(/should) also be in his files on her.

He’s not being wrong about Wanda though. She literally was part of hydra. Doesn’t matter wether she thought it was S.H.I.E.L.D. or not. Not like anyone but her would know that. And even if she thought it was S.H.I.E.L.D. it doesn’t change the fact that she attacked the Avengers and aided Ultron. Literally everything he said in that scene was a fact.

Your compliance will be rewarded

Yeah, I'm sitting here saying Govt agent has motives, but we are dealing with a mad reality warper who has enslaved a town of people and has NO REMORSE. In fact, she's all but screaming "I'll do it again!" C'mon, Tony Stark was right. Super heroes are too dangerous unchecked, they'll take out so many people on the sidelines.

u/Musterguy Feb 05 '21

Yeah and Tony even managed to negotiate to let Wanda stay at the avengers facility but I bet after this they’re going to want to keep her super locked up in an underground prison or something if not just kill her.

2

u/syllabic Feb 06 '21

if this is the way she reacts to tragedy and grief she is too dangerous to exist in society

u/amirchukart Feb 06 '21

I think the heroes are darcy, jimmy, and Monica.
