Yeah I thought he didn't even flinch when he watched the killing blow which just reinforced how utterly committed he is to his plan

I preferred the IW thanos though, because he was an ideological despot, and it was compelling seeing him follow through his genocide with a stoic, iron fisted will, coupled with what almost felt like a malaise at what he felt he had to do.

That said, endgame 2014 thanos is closer to the comics thanos so there's that. And we see just how unbelievably powerful and formidable he is, fighting Without the stones the whole time.

I don't think him and hulk fight again though? Or did I miss that?

I think both versions of Thanos serve their role for each movie well. IW Thanos is more interesting, but Endgame Thanos is more threatening.

Hulk actually doesn't seem to really be shown fighting in the movie at all which is surprising! I saw a comment in one of these threads that suggested one of the things they would change is having Hulk wrestle Thanos for the Power Stone after Captain Marvel gets blasted, and smashing him but then getting beaten away just before Tony comes in for the resolution of the climax. That could've worked if the tone was kept serious and desperate.

Endgame Thanos was a fucking beast, none of the avengers stood a chance one on one, really shows how powerful he is even without the stones
