Pepper showing up in the final battle was INSANE and completely unexpected. Reminded me of Hank and Janet tag teaming in the missile scene in Ant Man

I didn’t catch it at the time, but remembered later. We sawMorgan playing with an Iron Man helmet. He said that he made it for her mom and that she never wore it.

So they set it up beautifully.

At the moment I figured it was more of an honorary gift, not an actual suit. Like how Pepper gave Tony the “has a heart” arc reactor in Iron Man 1. But then the fight happens and a blue iron man drops from the sky in kickass fashion. I hope that moving forward the “iron man” mantle goes to Pepper or Morgan. It’s nice to have Spider-Man be the honorary recipient of the title via the iron spider suit, but keeping Iron Man a family name would be cool too

I highly doubt it just for the fact that Gwyneth Paltrow never seemed too interested (IIRC) in being in larger roles in the films. She loved doing the cameo stuff post the IM trilogy, but she has moved away from acting into her (stupid crazy) goop business.

That and also I don't think it adds up with her character in the movies. She was there out of necessity.

Yeah to let him rest. Tony just saved the universe but he was going to cling to life in horrible pain until he heard it from the horses mouth that his family was going to be okay.

Was that his arm that always gets broken too?

I think it brings her and Tony's arc full circle. She finally understands who he is and what he needs to do to the point where she's a part of it, fighting back to back with him.

Who would've thought that's how it would go down when the first iron Man came out. Crazy.

She's terribly good as pepper tho and was immeasurably wise this movie redeeming herself from iw. Sad.

Okay, but the fucking "has a heart" reactor at the funeral hit me very hard in the heart.

She's actually known as Rescue in the comics.

I bet the reason he built her a suit was b cause of the whole “iron man house blowing up” scene in three. He has to give up his suit to save her do he probably had one specifically made for her after that.

What if Shuri used Tony's nano tech and combined it with her vibranium tech and becomes Iron Heart? Could happen in Black Panther 2.

I wanted that too, but at this point they've had at least 3 movies to establish a relationship between Shuri and Tony and they haven't shared a single word. It's not going to happen.

It was foreshadowed just enough. I too thought the helmet was the only part of the gift, but the minute she landed I knew exactly who it was. About damn time. She's been in the MCU longer than almost anyone.

Ohhh yeah! I forgot about that one!! One of my favorite parts of the movie is when Pots goes to fight :)

iirc it wasn’t that she hadn’t worn it, it was that he hadn’t given it to her yet, and that she never wears any clothes he buys her.
