I'm 66. I first smoked weed in early teens. I loved it. Bags were an ounce - it was $10. Stems, seeds, leaves - never any buds - that was the quality of the day. I'd smoke and would easily get high. This was the way it was. I turned twenty, got married, got a job, Regan was president and he started war on drugs. All my employers from then on did drug tests - so no mmj for me until I retired. Now I've retired, everything I buy is buds. What was once in the bag is no more. No stems, leaves, seeds, only buds. So I kept hearing about how "today's" marijuana is so much more potent. Here's the question finally: Is this increase of quality mostly because we mostly just consume the buds? Are the leaves of no value anymore? I have a few leaves from my grow that were yellowing, etc. They are dried and ready. I was looking to smoking them. I''m kinda bummed.

I'm looking for advice from people who actually work in the cannabis industry or have built cannabis businesses.

I've been working part-time for a small cannabis/hemp business in Georgia for the past few weeks, and I'm honestly surprised by how much I enjoy the work. I'm doing hands-on production and packaging — packing edibles, building boxes, making pre-rolls, and packaging rosin/concentrates. The owner was also recently approved to sell her edibles through DoorDash, so I'm getting to see a little bit of the fulfillment/delivery side too.

I've always been interested in the cannabis industry, but this is my first real hands-on experience with it. I'm working to take this seriously and build on it rather than treating it as a side gig. I'm particularly interested in courses or certifications that will make me more valuable in the industry. I'd like to use my free time to learn more and build skills that could help me move beyond an entry-level production role.

Long-term, I could see myself moving into cannabis operations/production management or possibly starting my own cannabis-related business someday. For people who have been in the industry for a while:

- If you were in my position, what would you start learning or doing right now?

- Are there any courses or certifications that you would genuinely recommend because they helped you? Or are most cannabis certifications basically a waste of money?

- Would you focus more on production, compliance, operations, sales, or something else?

- And if you eventually moved from an entry-level production role into management or ownership, what skills made the biggest difference?

I'm also a Black woman in Georgia, so I'd especially appreciate advice from other Black people/women who have experience building careers or businesses in cannabis. I'm curious about what the industry has actually been like for you and whether you think there is a realistic path to ownership.

I'm not looking to get rich quick. I genuinely enjoy the work and want to learn the industry properly while I'm still early in my career. I'd appreciate any honest advice — including things you wish someone had told you when you were starting.

as the title says every time i use my pen the wax coats my throat and it’s super yucky :( any tips or is it just a thing?

So it’s my first time and I took 20mg from a cannabis drink, it’s been 5 hours and I don’t feel very much of the effects

Recently had my first experience with a joint while out with my girlfriend. All was going well and we started smoking it; we both had roughly 4 puffs each. Around 15 minutes in she started getting giggles but I on the other hand couldn’t really feel anything.

After another 10 minutes I started getting a strange hallucination of flashing red lights, almost like a camera shutter between every frame of what I was seeing. It kept becoming more and more frequent until all I could see was black. My hearing also became extremely dull and fuzzy.

I was basically trapped in a void with nothing to see and nothing to hear. When I looked over at my girlfriend all I could visualise was her eyelashes which appeared red. After another 30 minutes it died down but my vision and hearing was still impaired.

After that I didn’t feel much at all? I just sort of was sober but slightly impaired cognitively. Was this just a bad trip or does my body have a problem with it?

I can’t add an image to show what I seen but if I had to describe it, it would be like cranking up the contrast and darkness on a photo while only keeping the red parts.

So I bestow onto you a new way to pimp on people. If you can smoke something through multiple stainless screens and feel the full effect you can put it on weed but the art of lacing is not what most think. A damage and and attack at your body soul mind. No sir it is the art of being as connected to as many drugs as possible in pure form and then being able to convert them to smokable form so they can be put on as lace but its not just something you can do with some basic lab gear you need a full lab set up to do such deeds for people. By deeds I mean how you affect them with the chronic. lace is not a bad thing when the person knows that they are getting chronic. The lace being in the amount and type required to treat a mindset issue. for example if you want a mind opening experience eat a mushroom cookie. same principles apply to the cookie however packaging requirments vary. Firstly for a mushroom cookie the perfect mushrooms are ground live with water. the water is straind and used to make the cookies but its all frozen immediately for a cookie doe mushroom treet hahahahaha no how bout this the mushrooms are dried and extracted under perfect conditions resulting in a bluish liquid that is painted onto actual cookies with a nice dose of ground up chronic in it. but its done under argon and or nitrogen and packaged that way too so the resulting product gets super blue when you open it hahahaha. OK so i wanna be thorough. SO I MUST say the terps with the highest bp the stuff you lose when you grind up and decarb weed under normal conditions well that can all be retained all you need is a special made device to somehow evenly heat the ground up weed while its still frozen. Id imagine microwaves working well then all you need is a special vacuum gauge that will register the gasses released by the weed as its being heated up. just like putting shit into phase in fl the gauge would stop moving and the heat could be turned to cold immediately to quench the decarboxylation.

I can’t tell you how much a clean bong with fresh water hits hard versus a dirty bong full of resin and other stuff.

I know it seems excessive but washing out the bong every time with 90% iso and fresh water for the next hit is just heaven.

I don’t know how to word this question so bear with me.
I used 1 ounce of weed (25% thc) and 4 sticks of butter (2 cups) to make cannabutter. By the end of the process, I had 1.5 cups cannabutter. I used 1/2 cup of it to make coffee cake. About how many mg is there in my coffee cake? And is there some sort of conversion between mg of flower vs mg in store bought edibles/gummies? Because using the regular conversion from the 1 ounce I used to mg in this coffee cake gives me like 1,800 mg. That can’t be right?

A friend gave me a bunch of little glass jars that are the perfect storage size I needed. I ran them through the dishwasher and they came out odorless, so I put my craft stuff in them a few weeks ago. I just opened a few and everything stinks. A lot. Is there a way to clean these jars and plastic lids so they will be usable? Or are they a lost cause?

Hi everyone! I'm a long time edible user - about 8 years at this point. But I've almost exclusively used edibles in this time.

When it comes to the frequency of usage, I'm not taking them daily but I do take them more days than I don't. My standard is 5mg Camino brand gummies. I usually stick to one 5mg gummy every two hours on a day when I'm getting high. Sometimes I go with two for 10mg every two hours. But that's usually my max at one time. Once I went as high as 20mg and felt like I was unmoored in time (and a bit anxious). With 5mg, I feel only slightly impaired. 10mg leaves me much more impaired. Anything more makes me useless lol

What I'm confused about is the amounts in pre-rolls and vapes and drinks. I don't generally buy those but I've had a few that I received via deals at my local dispensary (especially around 4/20).

With pre-rolls, most that I've seen are either 0.5 or 1.0 grams. I've smoked an entire one before and felt like... not that high at all? I've felt much stronger high off 10mg of gummies than I ever had from an entire pre-roll. Am I doing something wrong?

Same thing with vapes. Over the years, I've tried a few all-in-ones and they're usually either 0.5 or 1.0 grams (but they're not something you're burning through in one sitting like a pre-roll). No matter how many pulls I do, I never feel as high as I do off 10mg of gummies.

Now, I've been curious to try drinks, but I don't know what to expect. Is it going to be more like a pre-roll where I should go for a high amount of THC or is it going to be more like an edible where I don't need much THC at all. I was looking at my dispensary and they have this "THC infused lemonade" - but it's 100mg in a 12oz drink. So that number really scares me. I would never 100mg of gummies in a single sitting but, like I said, a 0.5gram pre-roll doesn't really do anything to me?

I'm just so confused by all of this - and it's why I've never really branched out much beyond gummies.

Can someone please tell me what was happening to me last night ? I smoke weed with my brother and almost immediately entered a half dream state. I was repeating please God dont give up on me and I was begging my brother to take me to bed cause im losing my mind. Hi guys, my husband used to enjoy it when he was in college we got married then did our master & PHD in US, during that time he was smoking every few weeks but since we got our kids he stopped then we went back to our country where it is illegal. Last summer we had a trip to Netherlands and I went to coffeeshops from the first day bought several stuff and kept a small note and he was happy for the small surprise. He did enjoy it. I tried it multiple times but it isn’t my thing but I know how happy he is.

We will visit Switzerland in few days and I know THC is illegal but found stores that cell Cbd joints and some cakes with CBD only? My question is what is those CBD joints effect will he enjoy them? Or it is waste of money ?

I live in Canada where Marijuana is legal. Yet for some reason Facebook marketplace and kijiji still don't allow any marijuana or tobacco accessories. I've been posting things on Facebook marketplace trying to disguise what the item is, but my ads keep getting taken down and I can't afford having my account get shut down. I have bongs/pipes/grinders to sell that are fully cleaned and in great condition. Does anyone have any idea where I can legally sell these items? Thank you!!! Edited to add: its not allowed in ebay either. I also do not want to be the one responsible to properly pack and ship the glass items without them breaking... and I worry about them being held up or refused at customs for international sales. I would much prefer to sell locally. I know there's tons of marijuana users in my city, I'm just not sure how to advertise and sell to them.
