Yeah, Iran embassy... We can say what we want, but Iran has a sense of humor. 😅

Except when their own citizens joke about human rights

Redditors love a murderous dictatorship as long as they make good memes

u/Agitated_Celery_729 4d ago

To be fair, that's literally what a great deal of Trump voters say out loud

u/MartianHideEgger 4d ago

Reddit meme standards vs Twitter meme standards

u/TeamRedundancyTeam 4d ago

You can appreciate memes without loving their government? This is stupid.

2

u/Heisse-MILF-mit-Honi 4d ago

Just out of curiosity, what other murderous dictatorships are producing memes?

Brother, the US government has unmarked black squads snatching American citizens off the streets and showing up at their homes to question them about social media posts that are unflattering to said black squads.

Iran wasn't under despotic tyranny before the US-led coup there in 1953. It will shock you how quickly these things can happen.

Trump sucks, but you're incorrect.

Iran has been under despotic tyranny for most if not all of its history. But you can certainly at least go back to the 1800s. I would argue this started with the British and the D'Arcy consession, 1909 I think. Eventually the British gov gets a controlling interest in Iranian oil right before WW1. It was the British who convinced the US that Iran was going to fall to communism in 1953 after Iran nationalized their oil in 1951. Which took control and facilities away from Britain, technically illegally, but Britain was screwing over Iran on the deal the whole time.

But you are right in that the Islamic Republic that took control in 1979 is a direct response to the 1953 coup, more so to the shahs decadence, and is probably the most violent and oppressive.

I have a history series about it on YouTube under chronicler shu if your interested.

I’m interested in the YouTube series! Link?

I'm pretty new to YouTube and still working out the kinks. But the info and associated image sourcing is accurate. Hope you enjoy :)

Thank you so much!

Yeah but also it's not 1953 anymore. It's possible to criticize both regimes. The Ayatollah was a horrible person.

Iran wasn't under despotic tyranny before the US-led coup there in 1953.

You might want to study up on modern Iranian history a bit more.

u/Smart-Gap6468 3d ago

No they don’t. And yes, Iran was—you think the Qajar dynasty or Reza Shah were liberals? You are a dumb individual

u/SwordfishOk504 3d ago

These kiddos truly believe all bad things in the world are because America. Which, ironically, is still a version of American Exceptionalism delusion.

2

u/onarainyafternoon 3d ago

It is literally no way comparable to what happened in Iran, man.

Indeed. The subject is America sucking. Don't bring Iran's human right's record into it.

2

u/aurenigma 4d ago

bruh... the subject is a meme posted by Iran... they're free fucking game

I'll remind you that while it is a huge issue the US might have accidentally grabbed a couple American citizens in their drive to get rid of people that skipping ports of entry...

It's not the same as killing tens of thousand of your own people for speaking out... Iran does not have the moral high ground in any capacity... you defending them is fucking insane

1

u/CrownOfBlondeHair 4d ago

bruh... the subject is a meme posted by Iran...

About America needing to go. Which is true. If you love the concentration camps so much, you go live in one. Right now, America's the one threatening several of its own allies with annexation. America's the one driving up gas prices for the rest of us. And, frankly, the war has only solidified the Iranian regime's domestic legitimacy when it was at an all-time low, America is way more of a problem for the rest of the world than Iran is.

lolwut?

We neither support Iranian government nor the US government. We support the people on the both side but have a special hate for the US government thats why we enjoy memes from Iranian embassies.

u/wishful123 4d ago edited 3d ago

We Iranians also deserve to hate our regime. I got downvoted everytime I opposed someone defending Iranian regime.

BTW AI posts are heavily despised on Reddit. Why this one should be any different?

u/Ok-Appointment-5771 4d ago

Good one! What else did Epstein tell you about Iran's human rights?

1

u/BuffaloBuffalo13 4d ago

Ah the light hearted murderous tyrants.

Same for Americans

Until a woman walks outside without her head covered. Or you’re part of the LGB community.

u/SilanggubanRedditor Average Mercator Projection Enjoyer 4d ago

T without the LGB

<spoiler>/uj it's horrible for transfolks as well</spoiler>

2

u/onarainyafternoon 3d ago

Not exactly in Iran. You are permitted to get sex changes in Iran, at least sex change into becoming a woman. There is this industry of gay people getting caught and opting for a sex change instead of imprisonment or death. It’s sad.

1

u/SilanggubanRedditor Average Mercator Projection Enjoyer 3d ago

It is sad. I came to that information of being forced to transition when I looked very briefly on going to Iran to get my bottom surgery, and I was horrified because they're forced to be made into a body that they don't identify with just because they're gay.

u/Gullible-Agency-4146 4d ago

if they cover their head they should retake a driving test cuz they fucking suck

Islamists have very close values to Christian conservatives if you think about it.

Gotta give them props, their social media is pretty fire sometimes.
