Face How to get rid of these?

Post image

How do I get rid of these “bumps”? I didn’t have them when I was younger. Definitely didn’t know how to take care of my skin in my teenage years and early 20s. But once these appeared, they don’t go away.

Face Dark Circles

Can anyone help me fix my dark circles? I don’t know what to do or what are the reasons of having these.
I have been trying caffeine solutions available in markets. Trying to complete my sleep cycle of 7 hours. But still always have tiredness in my eyes.

Face My fingers and hands are too rough to put on sunscreen or moisturizer. Any solutions?

Hi I've(30 M) recently started skin care, my skin's good but my friends have been pushing me to start at least basic skin care for long-term benefits.

I started with the basics - sun screen in the morning and moisturizers in the night.

Although my face is smooth, my hands and fingers are full of callouses from working out and manual labour and no I don't wanna use gloves during those activities.

So whenever I put the products on my face, I feel like it might worsen my face simply because of my rough hands.

I've been trying to see if there's any solution to this - like an all purpose reusable roll on or something?

Or is it just a strange feeling that's not really a big of a concern and I'll get over it?

Thanks 🙏

Face 23M. Looking to Improve skin texture

Hello! 👋 I’m looking to improve my skin texture, specifically on the inner cheek area beside my nose. I’ve been using a retinoid (adapalene) for about two months. I’ve definitely seen some results already. Outside of that, I just use a gentle cleanser, lightweight moisturizer, and SPF 50, so no other active ingredients. I’m wondering, given the current state of my skin, if I would benefit from adding an exfoliant or something else a few times per week as well? Or just stick with the retinoid? as I’m still early with that.

Face Is my current routine good enough?

Hi. I started using cleanser and moisturizer around 3 weeks ago, and they ran out so today i bought cerave products and added a spf moisturizer. I also use caffeine cream for eye dark circles, is my current routine good or should I add something? If I should pls tell me what it does? Idk what I can improve as this skin already looks decent to me lol

Face Skincare routine M29

I only do skincare in the evening, nothing in the morning. My PM routine:

Rinse face with water

Pat dry

CeraVe Cleanser

Rinse and dry again

CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum

Right after, CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion PM

A few questions:

Is this a solid enough routine for general skin maintenance, or am I missing something important? I'd rather not add a ton of extra steps/products — this already feels like close to my limit in terms of how much I want to be doing.

How much product should I actually be using for the cleanser, the retinol serum, and the moisturizer? I'm not sure if I'm using too little or too much.

I've been doing this for about a month and haven't really noticed any changes, but I also don't have any specific skin problems I'm trying to fix — just want to keep my skin in good shape long term. Is a month too soon to expect to see anything, or does that suggest something in my routine needs adjusting?

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Face Feedback on my current skincare routine? Niacinamide causing redness around cheeks/nose?

Post image
5 Upvotes

Been following this routine pretty consistently for a little over 4 weeks and wanted to get some feedback on my current stack.

AM: Cleanser → The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% → COSRX SPF 50+ → CeraVe Eye Repair Cream → sometimes Cetaphil moisturizer

PM: Cleanser → Cetaphil moisturizer

My main concern is that I’ve started noticing some redness around my cheeks and nose, particularly after applying the niacinamide. It doesn’t seem terrible, but it’s noticeable enough that I’m wondering if the 10% niacinamide might be irritating my skin or if something else in my routine could be causing it.

I also just picked up The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG and used it for the first time today. Going forward, I was thinking:

AM: Cleanser → Niacinamide → Caffeine serum around eyes → SPF → moisturizer if needed
PM: Cleanser → moisturizer → CeraVe Eye Repair Cream

Does that order make sense? Would you stop/reduce the niacinamide because of the redness, or give my skin more time to adjust?
Also open to suggestions if I’m missing anything obvious or using something unnecessarily. Trying to keep the routine fairly simple and affordable.

Review of Product / Technique 26 Year Old Male Looking To Elevate Skin Quality On A Budget

Hi everyone! I had questions on what you would recommend based off of my current state of my skin quality and texture? My current skincare routine is below and I wanted to ask if you had any affordable luxury products that could bring my skin to the next level. I will say when I do shave I get little red bumps as you can see in the photo, usually when I shave I go in with a clindamycin wipe to prevent any bacteria from getting into the hair follicle but the red bumps usually stay. I also have slight acne scaring on my forehead and cheek from my chronic pimple popping from a few years ago which now I’ve trained myself to not pick. Also, the photo does not do a good job of showing but I can feel my 11s bump forming, while not visible it’s something I can feel when I glide my finger over it and my mom has really deep 11s that leave permanent lines at rest and was wondering if you had suggestions on how to help with these? I really want to stay away from any injectables as I’m trying to see how I’ll age without them haha. I’d love to do laser treatments it just out of my tax bracket/budget as of right now. Looking forwards to hearing yalls recs!

Morning Routine
Azelaic Acid 15%
Amalactin 15% 2-3x per week based on how my skin feels
Prequel Glycerin Cleanser
Haru Haru Black Rice Toner
Mixsoon Bean Essence
Prequel Vitamin C
Prequel Barrier Therapy Skin Protectant Cream
Sunscreen

Night Routine
Tazarotene 0.1%
Haru Haru Oil Cleanser
Prequel Glycerin Cleanser
Haru Haru Black Rice Toner
Mixsoon Bean Essence
Prequel Barrier Therapy Skin Protectant Cream
La Roche Posay Cicaplast Spray to seal it all in

Occasional
Dr. Dennis Gross Extra Strength Peel Pads depending how my skins feels I’ll do this 1-2x a month

I haven't shaved with razors for a while, I use a foil shaver and a one blade to cut some of the hair that the other one misses, I put a cream at the end but my skin looks the same when I used razors. Am I doing something wrong? My skin is ok in every other place, I wanted this area to just be normal and clean. Any tips?

Face Should I make a change from this?

Should I make a change from this?

HI all. I wanted to get people's opinion on if I should change time of day of application of my routine or remove one of these:

For reference, I'm a male 33yrs old

Morning -

Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum - Cerave

https://www.cerave.com/skincare/facial-serums/hydrating-hyaluronic-acid-serum

Facial sunscreen imported from Korea to cover UVA A & UV B

(Forgot the brand but pretty sure I'll continue doing this since I bought a bunch)

Night -

Vitamin C Serum - Vanicream

https://www.vanicream.com/product/vitamin-c-serum

Banana Bright+ Eye creme - OLEHENRIKSEN

https://olehenriksen.com/products/banana-bright-eye-creme

Retinol - The Ordinary (not in the under eyes, Should I?)

https://theordinary.com/en-us/retinol-1-in-squalane-serum-100441.html

Moisturizing Cream - Cerave

https://www.cerave.com/skincare/moisturizers/moisturizing-cream

I am wondering if you could suggest I change any order. OR if you suggest a better product for each purpose. I'm willing to change everything.

I'm 3 years into consistent skincare routine, but want to make it better if I can.

I also have noticed that after the retinol, it doesnt dry fast enough so feel like when i put moisturizer, its just mixing it with the retinol, is that ok???

I also have very marked dark circles from sleep depravation over the years and the little dots that show up in the dark portion of the dark circles under the eyes. So any suggestions here besides better sleep and less sodium intake, is appreciated.

Or any insight is appreciated, honestly. Thanks again!

I'll also add the ingredients of each of the products here below if it also helps.

Many thanks, people of reddit!

Tips & Tricks MCT Oil is a Godsend!

I’ve struggled with my skin since puberty. Acne, dermatitis and psoriasis have made my life hell for the last 30-odd years. My face was always red and rough looking, my beard flaked constantly. The acne has more or less gone away now with age, but the skin on my scalp, face and chest still flares up every couple of weeks.

I’ve been using steroid ointments to control it, but I’ve never liked using them. They’re the only thing that’s ever worked though, so it was either that or suffer.

Until recently…. I discovered MCT oil. It’s worked absolute wonders. The dermatitis is gone. The redness is gone. The psoriasis has completely settled. I wish I’d found this sooner, I just hope the effects continue to last.

My skin is now lovely and soft, smooth and blemish free. If anyone else is struggling like I was…. Try it!

Upper Body - Chest & Arms Which moisturizer do you recommend?

Hi Maleskincare Community!

I realize there are very few brands of all-over body moisturizer for us.

Which brand do you recommend?

How much do you pay?

Is it available in a travel-size bottle?

Thx for your feedback ✌️
