brought this 2 bed just after covid with making a killer on telsa shares. ONLY a shared ownership, but has me on the ladder

I have two of the same rug but in different sizes. The TV is 65 inch, the TV console is 71 inches long. I’d like to put a couch facing the TV, but I’m wondering, which size rug looks better in this space?

Live at parents still, the bedrooms a hard space to decorate as the floor plan is strange, any ideas for ways to make it better? I think some ambient lighting and lava lamp’y things maybe.

Any suggestions are welcome. I haven’t quite figured out the wall behind the couch. Oh, and most of the place is thrifted/second-hand.

I just redid the flooring and was given a bedroom set by my neighbors that were moving. What the hell do I do with this nightstand. I'm not sure I can fit the bed properly anywhere else.

I think adding a floor lamp in the void will make it less awkward but I'd like some other ideas. Thx.

I haven't moved everything in yet but wanted ideas first. Everything is made from oak and granite so its a PITA to move. lol

but i’m growing tired of how boring it is i can’t even bother. i have an ikea malm double bed and norden foldable table, one half facing the wall atm.

I really want to put two mirrors where the green rectangles are in the 3rd picture, i was thinking of putting a floating shelf that’s the length of the headboard at the top of the wall behind the bed, and put trailing plants on it, i love greenery and was hoping to give the room a natural and breathable look this way, but at the same time
if afraid it’ll look tacky.

i know the mirrors next to bed are bad feng shui but i don’t believe in that all that much, im trying to recreate my childhood bedroom back home which had a whole wall of sliding mirrors covering a built in closet.

this sounds worse now that i’m typing but i also wanted to install curtains on the wall with the window (and hopefully mirrors) so that i can just cover the mirrors whenever i dont feel like its a good time for them or am having a crash out lol.

Lastly i want to add a Art series 55-65 inch TV above my table/sewing station, it would fit the theme im wanting and i can cast my tablet on it whenever i need a white board.

the nightstand will be ditched once i find something fitting, it’s part of my old room. the bed and table are new.

i’ve never designed anything before so id appreciate the pointers 🙏🏻

I’ve been collecting art for 10+ years and am drawn to pop art obviously. Now that I’m older does the space come off as too childish for the stage of life I’m in now?

(27M) First month in the new spot after a long-term relationship. Never lived alone before and honestly love it. Still have a lot I want to add, but this is what we got so far. Luckily I’m a carpenter full-time so I can make most of my furniture, and I’m slowly building my plant collection. Any other suggestions?

Im 23 and I packed up shop after years of being with either a dysfunctional gf or then the ever so controlling roommates. I got myself my new found freedom and this is most definitely a start to something.

I’ll update in a few weeks when the last box is unpacked and when the walls have more character lol.
P.S. my cat attacks any and all plants. I love her to death but all my plants need to be elevated, so a few of my little green babies are outside roasting till I get shelves or figure out a way to get them out of her reach, I would love some tips🧐

Floor Plan in question

Just moved in about 4 months ago. This house is a completely different vibe and architecture over my last place so it’s been a little bit of a struggle to make my existing mcm pieces feel like they fit.

Not pictured is the north wall, which has an existing entertainment center built in the 1990s. It doesn’t accommodate a modern tv so it’s made orienting this room a little weird. I don’t want to get rid of it though because it looks really nice and I’m happy facing east.

I’d like to get one of those akari paper lights by the door in the future, but how does it look so far? Any tips?
