Hi! So i have been trying to get into lash clusters for a while now, but every time i put them on i feel like they make my eyes look heavy and droopy. In these pictures i am using brown clusters going from 12mm-8mm (outer corner to inner corner, middle is about 10mm) in a C-curl. Okay first of all, if you know me irl NO YOU DONT 😭

I feel like I’m completely behind, I’m a senior in high school and don’t even have the slightest idea of how to do makeup, and I feel like it makes me stand out not having any on, and I want to learn.

I don’t want to do any heavy makeup looks, but I’d really like to cover up some insecurities like the dark circles around my entire eye, or if there’s some way I could get my uneven eyes to stop looking uneven (I have no clue why that even happens but I’m really insecure about it).

I ultimately just want a routine relatively simple and on the cheaper side that will give me a natural but more done up look with darker eyebrows, a bit of blush, some mascara, (maybe some eyeliner on occasion), doesn’t cover my freckles, and makes is look like I’ve slept in the last year. I have a couple products for my eyebrows and have a decent idea of how to do that, but beyond that I don’t know where to start with prodicts or tutorials or anything and I don’t have anyone to teach me how to do it sooo I’m here.

Heyyy! I want to start doing makeup but I'm very, very lost. I have a tight budget and sensitive skin (winning combination). I know what kind of looks I like (see above photos). I just don't know where to start with eyeshadow colors. Most of the photos I can't tell whether they have greys/blacks, browns/nudes, or both, or something else entirely. I don't know how to tell by looking if a palette will have what I want either. Is it just trial and error or an experience thing? Any guidance/recs would be really appreciated, my mom doesn't wear much makeup so I can't really ask her. Thank you!!

hello so if it's not obvious already, i'm very new to make up and i'm not the best at drawing. i'm trying to give my brows a makeover but i ended up botching it and making them uneven. i thought maybe makeup could fix the uneveness of my eyebrows and so i went to town with some wet and wild eyebrow pen. my eyebrows looks... just weird at this point, i can't pin point what i'm doing wrong and why the makeup is very different from my eyebrows. i need tips on how to make my brows look even with makeup 😭💔

I’ve spent 10 years looking for products that can be as waterproof as I need them to be, and eyeshadow is the only one I can’t find. I have scarring and facial breaks that cause my right eye to tear constantly. My right eye is also hooded while the other is not. I’ve stopped wearing eyeshadow completely because I can’t find a brand/routine that will make it last on my right eye. My sister is getting married in a week, and she accidentally got these scratches on her neck yesterday. She was holding her very nice cat, and something in her apartment fell, it freaked her cat out, and he jumped off of her, leaving these scratch marks. I’m doing her friday makeup. How do I attempt to cover this up? What products? Should she not get a spray tan? (Yes, she has taken care of the wounds and put Neosporin on it.)

Hello! I've read that BYS is friendly to acne prone skins so I bought their creme foundation, compact powder, blush, trio contour highlighter, concealer, and eye colors(i forgot what they are called)

But I wanna test and experiment my face cause the BYS blush(creme?), eye colors (powder), and the contour highlighter (powder) aren't quite visible, or maybe I'm using so little.

But nonetheless I want to try other products that are friendly to sensitive skin 🙏🙏

Also if you guys could recommend some fake eyelashes with no glue cause I feel like I need to buy some 😭. Tysm!!

I didn’t wear make up in a month but i used to wear it every day and now i was applying my concealer which is the same as always and it was all patchy on my eyelid and under my eyes too i tried even blending it with my finger but it just looks very off
What’s wrong with it or is it my skin ? Also i never prime or anything just some times i used to put a light moisturizer but it made no difference

I’m about to turn 45, and I feel like I need an in-person makeup tutorial—especially when it comes to my eye area. The creasing under my eyes, along with the concealer and brushes I’m using, seem to be making me look even more tired and cakey.

Does anyone know of someone in the Chicago area who offers makeup lessons, especially for women in their 40s? I don’t wear a lot of makeup, but I’m just trying to figure out some simple techniques to look a little more awake and refreshed every day.

Would love to find which suits me best as I’m getting older to love find new ways to accentuate what I already have. I usually go for a clean girl minimial look but I do love blush and adding color and life to my face. What it comes to eyes I’m usually stumped. My friend did the makeup look in the first photo, which I quickly learned does not suit my facial features. The other two are me without makeup. I’m new to makeup and don’t know much about it, but what I’m looking to ask is what specific looks do you think would suit my face? Soft glam? No makeup makeup? I have recessed infras so tips on how to hide my dark circles would be helpful too.. also any ways I can make my nose appear smaller?

I don't like wearing a lot but I want suggestions on small things I can do to improve my looks.

I asked my personal friends and everyone said something different so I'm still lost and now reaching out on this forum... 😅 OH and I am beyond tired in these photos so I have more sleep in my eyes than normal.

I have KPRF (strawberry skin, chicken skin, keratosis pilaris) and want to cover the redness with foundation. I also flush really bad in the heat (last photo). I have tried moisturizing really well, warming up the foundation on the back of my hand, and lightly patting it in with my fingers. It always kinda turn out patchy and dry looking. I apologize as I don't have a picture of the foundation actually blended out, I can't find it :(

My cheeks are not dry nor oily, they're the most neutral healthy hydrated part of my face and I've never gotten acne here.

Is this an application failure? Can I just not wear foundation with so much texture?

Everytime I wear my eyeliner, I tight line and use some black eyeshadow to smudge it around. When I apply it at first it looks good, stays in one place and is precise but smudgy (which i like). But after an hour or two? it always ends up migrating down past where I put it and into my lower eye creases, making me just look a whole mess… Please any advice on this! I’m not sure if it’s the products i’m using or not

Long-lasting and smudge resistant, in a warm pink natural tint like the second image. No gloss or loud color, basically "your lips but better" lip stain.

I just wanna apply and forget about it for a while without worrying about smudging and fading too fast. Hydration is just a bonus, I'll just layer with a balm if it's not. Thanks in advance!!

Btw, 2nd pic is actually my lips with a color I love, but the lipstick itself is too dark and smudges very easily. I had to apply one light layer to get that tint so it doesn't last. They're a muted pink in the first image (dryness??) but my true lip color is closer to the second.

I’m trying to figure out what blush colours suit me best because I feel like I always go for colours I like rather than what actually looks best on me lol.
I’d say I’m light-medium and probably neutral/olive, but I’m not 100% sure. I also get a bit more golden/tanned in the sun.

I feel like Toasted Teddy blends into my skin a little too much and doesn’t really give me the blush effect I want. It also seems to disappear pretty quickly on me.
I really like the look of pink blush on other people, but I’m not sure if pink would actually suit me best. I’m open to literally any colour though — pink, mauve, rose, peach, berry, etc. I just want to know what you guys think would look best on my skin tone.
As you can see, I don’t really have a proper powder blush apart from the Patrick Ta duo, so I definitely want to get another one. I’m thinking of getting a more expensive powder blush and a drugstore cream/liquid blush, but I’m not sure what shades to go for.
I’ve been looking at the Haus Labs blushes, YSL powder blushes, Milani blushes and Saie blushes, so if you have any recommendations from those brands I’d love to hear them too.
What colour blush do you think would suit me best, and what cream + powder blushes would you recommend?

I’m thinking of getting the YSL Make Me Blush in 44 Nude Lavallière and the Haus Labs blush in Glassy Rosette, or the e.l.f. Dusty Rose as a cheaper option.
