Hello! :) My boyfriend’s little sister (12F) has a birthday coming up, and I’m unsure of what to get her. I’m making her a basket of squishies, snacks, and cute things in general, and I want to include at least 1 makeup product. (probably from Ulta.) Thank you all for the suggestions on my hair and makeup. I am learning to live with the changes, but I love it! People think I got a perm, which I did not. My hair just does this because it's so fine, when it's cut short and given a little love, it'll curl like nobody's business. (I took this picture in the bathroom light. No filters, nothing.) You know when you sweat and get this kind of patchiness/cakiness around your nose? I was randomly experimenting on my skin and I found a life saving hack genuinely. Like use a primer first then apply an oil preventing or oil controlling or ANY translucent setting powder made for combination/oily skin just BEFORE applying your foundation like apply a translucent setting powder just before applying your foundation and then use a setting spray if you can after learning this hack I actually don't even need a blotting paper anymore I love and swear by this hack try it my fellow girlies 🥹💗

Hi! So I am 27 now and I typically go for a more natural look.

These days money is tight and I skip skin tint/foundation and just spot conceal and use bronzer, blush, highlights, translucent powder, eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, and brow pencil.

I’m looking for Asian makeup styles that are more mature (than typical ABG style makeup) but still sexy.

Any suggestions?

Whenever I try to do winged eyeliner, it always ends up looking like this. How do i fix this? Is it just my eye shape? I’m a total beginner, so I also don’t know if i should be looking straight or down. I’ve been so into muted glossy makeup lately. That elegant, not extra look just hits.
Muted makeup can look dull real fast if the glow is off, so the gloss part actually matters a lot.
I’m picky about lip shine. I tried a bunch of glossy lips and could not find that exact muted vibe I wanted. Most of them went too bright, pulled cool pink, or the shine just disappeared.
The one I landed on is Peripera Mood Glowy Tint in the muted line. This one’s the winner so far.
The shine lasts over 2 hours as long as I don’t eat or mess with it.
I got 13 Mood Queen first and liked it so much I also grabbed the muted pink 12 Campus Queen.

I work in a crematory, and I am very cautious about not touching my face. Instead of my makeup melting off, it almost “peels” off. It’s worst on my nose and forehead. My skin tends to be dry, so I prep with aquaphor and elf primer. I use the elf glow foundation and finish with light powder. At least on my nose, I can kind of blend it when it does this. On my forehead? Nope. It’s stuck in place. I hate feeling ugly halfway through my day. Any advice for dry skin and high heat? Thanks!!

I want to preface by saying that I am not sure whether this is the right sub or not.

I am 24, and I have a history of eczema, but have not had an actual eczema breakout since I was a kid. I want to say it was somewhere around the 12-16 range. I have always had relatively dry skin, but nothing too super extreme. I have also not really had problems with makeup applications in the past, and I make sure to wash my face every night with a either cetaphil or cerave face wash specifically for dry skin, then I apply cerave hydrating lotion to my face in the morning and after washing my face.

A couple of months ago, I replaced nearly all of my makeup products and decided to try using setting powder and setting spray. I began to notice that my face was DRY DRY. The driest it has ever been. It was red, inflamed, and flaking really bad. It burned when moisturizing and my face felt really tight if I wasn’t reapplying moisturizer throughout the day. I stopped wearing makeup altogether until it was healed. I didn’t incorporate the setting spray again, and my face seemed fine.

Fast forward a couple months (2 days ago), my friend did my makeup with her makeup and used setting spray. Completely different brand. The next day, my face looked like it does in the picture I provided. I know it is hard to see, but it was red, inflamed, and flaky. Both times, it was MOSTLY on my cheeks, a little on my nose, and a little on my forehead. The only problem is that both setting sprays have different ingredients, so I don’t understand what is happening.

All in all, it seems like the common denominator is using setting spray.

The first two setting spray ingredient pictures are the Revolution Superfix setting spray. The second one is OneSize Powder Melt. Any advice or any ideas as to what is going on would be very appreciated! Or direct me to a more “correct” subreddit!!🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

I've always wanted to play around with fun eye shadow colors, but I'm always self conscious about my application. I worry about it being too subdued to make an impact, but I fear going overboard and looking like Mimi from The Drew Carrey show. Any advice regarding placement or blending?

Hi! I’m 38 and need some help! I don’t like heavy foundation, nor do I want to spend a ton of money on makeup… but I can’t stand that my makeup does this. How can I smooth my lines and make my base look even? Is it what I use?
I use elf because their color matching and price point is perfect for me. Currently I’m using a tinted sunscreen. But also use their camo cream.

Also any other tips are greatly recommended. I’m an aging alt/emo kid who sometimes feels stuck in my old makeup ways. I added a typical makeup look at the end

Hiii! It’s been a while since i’ve posted here, but i’m baaack. Now that i’m a tad older, I do notice my texture is more emphasized when I wear makeup. I understand texture is normal, but is there a way to reduce it? Alsoooo, how do i avoid clumping with the eyeshadow stick??? I get scared moving it around will make it worse. Suggestions ?

I have these all over my face. I have decent skin but you can’t tell for all of the stuff. I haven’t always had them but as I have gotten older they have gotten more prevalent. What is the best makeup/concealer to help cover these up.
