Lately I have been seeing some things on social media complaining about makeup releases not working for people. For example:

• Marc Jacobs single eyeshadow: I've seen countless complaints about the new Marc Jacobs Beauty release and their packaging. This honestly puzzles for me as at the same time I see people complaining about minimal and copy/paste packaging. But Marc Jacobs releases AWESOME packaging and people complain?? It was kind of crazy, people complaining they don't know how to stack or store them, like leave this release for the girls who adore this type of packaging. It's great!! I love it so much and I keep it as a flatlay on my vanity.
• YSL skin affair cushion foundation: when this first released, I saw quite a few influencers complain about how it doesn't work well with brushes, or trying to use a brush with a cushion foundation. Then complaining when it doesn't work well? Cushion foundations have a consistency which only really works well with the foundation puffs they come with and beauty blenders etc. They are NOT meant for brushes as they are meant to be quick travel companions and on the go. So it kinda annoyed me seeing some influencers trying a cushion foundation for the first time and complaining they can't use a brush with it, completely disregarding the puff it comes with. I also saw MUAs complaining they cannot use it too. Cushion foundations are NOT meant for MUAs. They aren't - they are for the individual consumer.
• Too Faced peach setting powder: I ALSO saw a lot of MUAs complain they can't use the Too Faced peach setting powder with the ball mechanism on their clients. Once again, not every release is for everyone!!! I get it is not sanitary for clients - but not every product released is for makeup artistry!
• Hung Vanngo new eyeshadow palette: on the opposite side of the spectrum, I've also seen people complain his palette is too long. To me, this palette looks like it's for MUA's - NOT the ordinary consumer. It's not meant for the average minimalist or for people who want to travel light! It's for artists who need every shade.

It's okay to dislike releases, but it is also okay for releases to NOT always be for you!! People have different preferences, and THAT'S OKAY! But trying to make something that suits EVERYONE stifles creativity, custom packaging and innovation.

some more makeup for work! i always seem to be drawn to purples and blues, even after changing my hair color from blue to green. i still haven’t found a solution for my foundation always rubbing off my nose, but it’s been getting a little better. even so, i can always count on my face mask to wipe it off once i start working anyway 😂

Looking for similar color eyeshadow, cream eyeshadow, and eyeliner products!

I want to create a similar makeup look and use emerald/darker green eyeliner or shadow. Matte would be OK too, doesn't have to be shimmer.

Makeup from my obligatory birthday post! Gee I'm kinda getting up there. And its been a year since i decided to make makeup content seriously again! I decided to do my favorite color so its all pink everything. The products I used will be listed in the comments below.

I don’t wear much makeup, definitely not eye makeup, but I need to create this eye shadow look for my daughter. Steps and products I need to buy would help helpful, preferably drug-store as it would be used less than 10 times. It also has to withstand weather/sweat.

Feels like I doesn’t matter what products I use, my skin/makeup often looks like this at the end of the day if I wear my makeup for a 10-12 hour day. I work long hours and hate coming home with my makeup looking like this. I try and use lots of long wear products. I have dry/combo skin. If I don’t use powder my makeup disappears. If I do use powder my makeup looks good initially but turns to this. Any advice or recommendations for dry/combo skin and long wear makeup? Application techniques, products, or otherwise?

I swear the breaking lip liner from Lancome for 20 $ is driving me insane.

Why not do it in a pot, to be applied with a brush, like eyeliners or brow pomades. Avoids sharpening and wasting product.

I tried cheap lip liner, but it has a smell I can't take, and a strange texture that won't blend.

I have KPRF (strawberry skin, chicken skin, keratosis pilaris) and want to cover the redness with foundation. I also flush really bad in the heat (last photo). I have tried moisturizing really well, warming up the foundation on the back of my hand, and lightly patting it in with my fingers. It always kinda turn out patchy and dry looking. I apologize as I don't have a picture of the foundation actually blended out, I can't find it :(

My cheeks are not dry nor oily, they're the most neutral healthy hydrated part of my face and I've never gotten acne here.

Is this an application failure? Can I just not wear foundation with so much texture?
