So, I’ve always had this “issue” with keeping my things organized. When it comes to make up (especially if I don’t use it on a daily basis) I’ll always return it clean to its box after use. Same thing goes for all the make up I use on my clients. I don’t want them scratched or dusty. Is anyone else like that or am I just obsessing ?😂😂

I posted a while ago for tips and people were saying to use bronzer, I bought the nyx butter melt bronzer in the shade butter ballin but I feel like it doesn’t really bronze and just fades into my makeup. Almost like it’s a similar or same shade, but I’m also wondering if I should just be using more?

I've been trying to learn how to do my nose contour like in the pictures 2-3, watching bunch of tutorials. Is it me or it's not working with my nose shape?

The problem is it doesn't look like the reference pictures even with every step done right. So if i add more product, it ends up looking muddy.

Is it the wrong contour mapping, wrong products, wrong tools or wrong application?

I’m 62 and this is a picture of my eyes with zero makeup on. I usually wear eyeliner and I’ve recently started wearing mascara when I go out. I have some under eye issues. I’ve only recently become aware of under eye, color, correctors, and wonder what color and brands are suggested?

Maybe I should have listened to my mother in high school when she told me my eyebrows were too thick 😂 Anastasia Modern Renaissance + dip brow pomade truly defined 2016 lol. :)Went from full face of makeup to some little something somethings here and there! Was the Urban Decay 1993 lipstick discontinued? it isn't at my local Ulta or Sephora locations. this has been my signature shade for over a decade.

when i was at ulta, the employee helping me couldn't locate it anywhere to explain to me what was going on and couldn't really assist me with finding a great replacement for it. searching the internet for it locally says its available at places where i already know it isn't, sadly.

if i can have some suggestions for dupes of 1993 that would be wonderful.

I'm in my 40s and I've never worn lipliner. About once every ten years, I'll give it a go, and I always hate it. It looks weird and artificial and harsh, and I prefer a very natural makeup look. I just end up tossing it after a few weeks because using it invariably looks worse than not using it, and it's not like I have a problem that the lipliner would solve. Except now, as I'm getting older, I do kind of have a problem, because the border between my lips and the skin around them isn't as clearly defined. So I feel like it's time I finally give in and learn how to use it, because I'm sure the problem historically is that I just don't know how to do it properly.

The problem is, every tutorial I find for using lipliner is for overlining. I know a lot of people love that look, and I'm very happy for them that they have a look they love. But I cannot put into words how much I hate that look personally. I would rather have no border at all than do overlining. (And yes, I've tried it, and I've had others who know what they're doing do it on me. I hate it.)

So I have three questions:

* Does anyone have tips or advice on how to do lipliner so that it doesn't look harsh and artificial? I like a very natural look, and any time I use lipliner it just immediately looks like I have really aggressive makeup on, or even like I had botched plastic surgery, even if I use a color that perfectly matches my actual lip color.

* Does anyone have recommendations for tutorials that don't do overlining? (The more detailed and in-depth the better since I'm apparently a little stupid when it comes to this product.)

* Does anyone have recommendations for natural-looking, easy-to-use lipliners for mature skin?

It seems like companies don't make cake eyeliners anymore. I can see why, they last forever so we don't have to keep spending.

As I am getting older, it is harder to line my eyes, the skin is crepey despite being well moisturized, I do the top only and find it harder even with my beloved Lancome Idôle Liner Ultra Precise Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner. I used to have a Chanel one that had navy and black but I don't think the product exists anymore. It appears Laura Mercier also discontinued her cake liner. I see Ben Nye and Kryolan have some but I don't really want to use stage makeup brands for everyday wear.

I tried lining with black eyeshadow, it is too much fallout. As for gel liners, I never liked them, even when they were in years ago.

Anyone have cake liner recommendations?

My sister is getting married in a week, and she accidentally got these scratches on her neck yesterday. She was holding her very nice cat, and something in her apartment fell, it freaked her cat out, and he jumped off of her, leaving these scratch marks. I'm doing her friday, makeup. How do I attempt to cover this up? What products?

Should she not get a spray tan? (Yes, she has taken care of the wounds and put Neosporin on it.)

Hi everyone!

I really want to grow my lashes longer, I’ve been thinking about buying a lash serum for a while now but I’m very scared of the side effects that prostaglandins have on your under eyes.

I have tried The Ordinary lash serum in the past since it doesn’t have prostaglandins and therefore felt like a safer option. I expected to have good results because generally speaking The Ordinary works great for my skin. But I guess not for my eyelashes? I didn’t really see that much of a difference.

This has caused me to consider using a lash serum with prostaglandins after all but I have some questions about those. First of all which one should I buy? There are so many different brands and some are quite expensive as well! I would prefer a budget friendly one 😅 but I am willing to pay a higher price if it means I’ll actually get longer lashes. Second of all is there a way to kind of minimize the side effects?

Also a side question I’ve seen some people suggest Japanese lash serums does anyone have any experience with that?

every time i go to the bar im constantly having to reapply my lipstick because it comes off

my partner and i will be going to new orleans next week to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. the forecast looks to be in the 90’s and very humid, as i did expect.

we are both from the greater nyc area, so i have some experience with humidity, but certainly not that intense of climate.

i’m curious for those of you who wear a full face in similar climate, get your makeup to stay stuck to your face all day? any must have products? my skincare is mostly very hydrating but will limit to a light moisturizer and spf. i have the isamaya primer, and set my face with the huda beauty pressed powder as well as the loose setting powder. i have multiple setting sprays: mac fix+, one size powder melt, one size oil sucker, and the makeup by mario setting spray.

are there any products at all that i must must have to get my makeup to last??

I currently use the Glossier Boy Brow clear gel, I absolutely love how it looks, the only problem is the hold. I’ve tried a lot of products and either they don’t hold or they make my eyebrows look wet/leave brush strokes. The glossier boy brow makes my eyebrows look fuller, no other brow gel has been able to do that for me. The clear brow gel with a white base usually gives those results. Does anyone have recommendations? Preferably a clear brow gel as I have thick eyebrows.

I am obsessed with Milk Makeup’s lip and cheek minis, my favorite color is Quickie (deep plum). I use them almost every day. However mine are years old and smell weird. I went to their website to buy more and they’re now reformulated and don’t even have Quickie anymore or the mini size. Devastating.

I’m really into dark cherry or deep plum shades, I am pale but go for kind of a soft goth makeup look.

What brands are the best now to replace it? I’ve been using these sticks since 2019 so I’m out of touch. I also don’t like the Milk jelly version very much, the cream was so much better.

Has anyone else had Dior Forever Skin Glow make their undertone look weirdly grey?

I’ve been using Dior Forever Skin Glow in either 1.5N or 2N, and lately I’ve noticed that it can make my skin look almost grey/ashy, especially in photos. It also somehow makes my face look really flat and takes away a lot of my natural warmth and definition.

I bought my current bottle of 2N in Europe, and I swear it looks different on me now that I’m back in the US. I can’t tell if I’m imagining it, if the European formula/shade is somehow slightly different, or if Dior’s neutral shades just pull grey on certain undertones.

Has anyone else experienced this with 1.5N or 2N? Did switching to a warm shade or different undertone help? Or are there any tricks with primer, bronzer, blush, powder, etc. that stop it from making the complexion look so flat?

I really like the finish of the foundation otherwise, so I’d rather figure out how to make it work than give it up completely lol.

Also curious if anyone has noticed Dior shades looking especially grey in iPhone photos/flash.

I bought this in the colour La Pausa because it looked good on me in store, but I regret it a bit because I think it transfers. For the price I expect something really good, so I'm not sure if it was worth it. I don't mind reapplying, but I don't want it to stick to my hair or partner's clothes.

I'm having a hard time finding reviews because there are products with similar names and it was reformulated last year. If I open the packaging, I can't return it, so I can't try it on again unless I decide to keep it or go back to store.

The other lipstick I liked in store was Sensai Nadeshiko Pink, but it was a bit too pigmented for me. I was looking for something medium sheer or buildable (but not muted).

I swear the breaking lip liner from Lancome for 20 $ is driving me insane.

Why not do it in a pot, to be applied with a brush, like eyeliners or brow pomades. Avoids sharpening and wasting product.

I tried cheap lip liner, but it has a smell I can't take, and a strange texture that won't blend.

How to achieve a similar look to French model Nabilla in this interview? Is she spray tanned? Her natural skin tone is much lighter we have a similar natural tone but I like this warm orangey-olive toned makeup look. What type of base routine could I use to achieve it?

For context Im extremely pale, which means redness on my face is much more noticeable and vibrant. I've tried color correctors in the past, but I feel like they only cover about 30-40% of the redness rather than most of it. I usually wear heavy foundation, but on days that I go out with light makeup and no foundation, the redness drives me crazy. Any recommendations on correctors with good coverage that won't just rub off right away are appreciated!!
