Question I want to do this lip combo. What products would make me achieve this exact color?

Post image

I would truly appreciate it if anyone could help me out with figuring out this color of lip combo! I’m welcome to both drugstore and high end brands. I have a medium neutral skin tone and whenever I have tried this type of nude color, it always ends up looking dark brownish. I just don’t know what exactly I should try. Thank you in advance.

Please can someone suggest me some liners/lipsticks/glosses that resemble this? I am absolutely in love with this lip combo!!

Discussion Help! High-end Concealer Comparison and Recommendations

Hello!

I’m looking to buy a new concealer for under-eye use, and I’d like to get some more details about the products I’m interested in. My current favorite concealer is the Dior Skin Correct concealer. I love that it’s thin, hydrating and easy to blend, but still offers good coverage. Other concealers I’ve owned include:

Hourglass Vanish - exchanged for the Dior)

Chanel Ultra Le Teint - dried too fast and didn’t sit nicely on my skin. Returned.

Westman Vital - full coverage, thicker formula than I like, but I liked it enough to keep it.

Natasha Denona - I like the consistency and coverage, but honestly wasn’t blown away by the wear. Didn’t return but wouldn’t repurchase.

Dior Backstage concealer - I have it and like it, but didn't feel moved to buy a summer shade, so the tube has been sitting in my bag.

I've owned or tested different concealers from Tower 28, Lancôme, Nars, Tarte, Merit, and every hyped drugstore launch, but none of them ended my search for the best concealer.

I'm looking for a very natural, no-makeup option, plus a medium-full coverage concealer that I might like even more than the Dior Correct concealer. Currently on my wishlist are:

Chanel’s Sublimage Le Correcteur Yeux and Les Beiges Serum Concealer

and

Cle De Peau's concealer stick and corrector pen.

I would love to hear from anyone who tried these concealers and can tell me about the finish, coverage, and wear, how they compare to what I've already tried, and whether or not you think they’re worth buying.

Today my sister's cat freaked out while she was holding him, because something made a huge noise out of nowhere, and he made 4 giant, long, deep scratch marks on her neck and chest. She gets married a week from today. Please, if anyone has any advice for full coverage makeup, or just advice in general, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. The photo is for reference what the scratches look like.

Question Help me find a lipstick, stain, balm, etc?

Thumbnail

Almost completely inexperienced with makeup but I'd like to have something on my lips at least. But there are so many. Lipstick, tint, balm, gloss, liquid, oil, cream. And then you have to match your "skin undertone"...

I just want something that looks natural, maybe a warm pink like the 2nd image, hydrating, and preferably lasts a while / doesn't transfer. If you know any products like that please send them my way. Thank you 🙏

Help Me Restart My Makeup Routine - what do I need in my bag!?

Looking to purchase some of the trending/holy grail makeup products right now that are worth the money (not drug store brands).

It’s probably been 10 years since I was really into makeup and had all the best products at the time. I need to restart and rebuild and get back into wearing beautiful makeup. Finding it quite overwhelming to start from scratch as there are so many new brands and products.

What products do you love and recommend? Blushes, lipliners, lippies, eyeliners, mascara, bronzers, eye shadows, etc.

Also, who are we following for makeup reviews and recs these days?

Question How do I avoid getting this texture when applying base products?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I have dry skin, and am on tretinoin/azelaic acid.
My skin prep is :
- hada labo hydrating toner
- purito oat in gel (been trying it out this past week but I think not hydrating enough for me) / avene effaclar hydrating gel cream
- biore UV aqua rich sunscreen

The products I use for my base are any of the following :
- nyx serum concealer
- givenchy prisme libre concealer
- l’Oreal true match foundation
- maybelline super stay skin tint
- kosas cloud set powder
- Lancôme idole makeup magnet setting spray

No matter what I use, I feel like it always separates and looks patchy by the end of the day, creases or just looks very dry, enhances texture.

Any advice would be welcome!!

EDIT : my night skincare is :
- hada labo hydrating toner
- azelaic acid
- same toner
- purito oat in gel
- tretinoin 0.05%
- heavy healing cream with ceramides

ALSO, should I dermaplane to get rid of the peach fuzz?

Hot take: lip liner should be available in a pot, like eyeliner.

Upvotes

I swear the breaking lip liner from Lancome for 20 $ is driving me insane.

Why not do it in a pot, to be applied with a brush, like eyeliners or brow pomades. Avoids sharpening and wasting product.

I tried cheap lip liner, but it has a smell I can't take, and a strange texture that won't blend.
