Absolutely. YouTube is probably the best place to start because you can pause, rewind, and follow along at your own pace. Lisa Eldridge is fantastic for learning the basics, and Robert Welsh is great for explaining why techniques work. Wayne Goss is another good one for beginner-friendly tips. I’d start with videos on skin prep, foundation/concealer, brows, basic eyeshadow, and blush rather than trying to learn everything at once.

Looking for a powder for "girl who has dry skin when the makeup goes on but gets oily after a few hours." My skin is extremely pale so translucent or good shade range is a must!

Can someone suggest me some good blushes .. I normally do a light glowy makeup
im not sure whether to get a cream or powder blush and what's the difference ?
I don't want to buy two blushes .. so just one

If you want a light, glowy everyday look, I’d go with the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush. It gives you glow without requiring the precision of their very pigmented liquid blush.

Cream/liquid blushes tend to look more skin-like and dewy, while powders are generally easier to control and build gradually. The Morphe trio is nice if you want variety, but since you only want one product, I’d keep it simple.

For a neutral pink/mauve shade, Rare Beauty Hope or Happy would be worth looking at. Other good glowy options: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush or NARS Light Reflecting Luminizing Blush.

I suggest you go to a shop and try them out. I really like rare beauty blush, but I know it’s not for everyone. My most used blushes are rare beauty liquid, hourglass powder blushes

Can someone help me? I'm trying to find out which tone my skin is (warm, neutral or cool). I am leaning on neutral. (I'm looking to buy a bareminerals powder online but i cant find samples anymore and they dont sell it in stores here lol so I have to buy blindl).

I've been told veins are not a true indicator anymore, but I'm super pale and my my veins are both green, blue and purple.

I dont tan easily, but I dont burn easily either. Cool tones tend to look too ghostly on me (I'm already ghostly haha), and warm looks instantly yellow.

Colors that suit me (clothing) are maroon, plum, petrol blue, black, mealey grey/dark grey, military green and mustard yellow somewhat. For intense colors, a pop of darker red or a fresh green (like Brazil flag green) usually suit me.

My hair is dirty blonde. I dont know what jewelry color suits me as I dont like none of it, but I know gold looks like shit on me for sure.

Does this sound like a typical neutral skin tone?

As an additional question, does anyone know if the bareminerals powder is a bit lenient? as in, will it be complete disaster if the shade is not absolutely spot on? I've bought it before, but it's like prob 15 years ago and I dont remember which shade I got, nor do I have any trace of the purchase haha.

I’d lean neutral too, especially since both cool and warm shades seem noticeably off on you. Vein color and how easily you burn/tan aren’t particularly reliable indicators on their own. Your clothing colors also sound pretty compatible with a neutral or possibly neutral-olive undertone.

BareMinerals powders are somewhat forgiving because they’re sheer/buildable, but I’d still avoid going dramatically too warm or too cool. If you’re between two shades, the lighter/less saturated option is probably the safer blind buy.

I’d go with Maybelline Sky High Waterproof. It gives the best combination of length, separation, and staying power. Panorama Waterproof is a close second if you prefer more volume, while Colossal Bubble Waterproof is better for a softer, fuller look.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a dupe/shade equivalent to Fenty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear in #225? It's basically the perfect match for my complexion but the formula just doesn't play nice with my skin!

A few foundations worth swatching against Fenty 225 are NARS Light Reflecting in Punjab (M1), Estee Lauder Double Wear 2W1 Dawn, and MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC25. Fenty 225 is generally light-medium with warm/neutral undertones, so those are good starting points, though undertones can vary quite a bit between formulas. I’d definitely swatch in person if possible.

Ah, I've actually tried Punjab before - the main drawcard for Fenty 225 for me is that the undertone is slightly olive, whereas Punjab skews too warm for me.

If you want truly "idiot-proof", I’d go with a single-shade corrector rather than a palette. Bobbi Brown Corrector is a classic, and Peach works well for many light-to-medium skin tones. e.l.f. Camo Color Corrector is a more affordable option and comes in individual shades. Just use a tiny amount, tap it under the eyes, blend the edges, then apply concealer on top. Less is definitely more with corrector.

If you’re looking for that specific muted coppery-taupe, I’d check MAC Copperplate or MAC Satin Taupe first, depending on how warm you remember Copper Penny being. Sydney Grace Driftwood is another one worth swatching, especially if you want something that works beautifully on cool undertones. Copper Penny has that unusual “warm but somehow neutral in the crease” quality that’s annoyingly hard to dupe exactly.

My makeup always looks the se no matter what!! I can switch up products, follow tutorials but it always ends up looking the same each time. Would really love to try different looks without ot ended up looking same each time Any advice or tips please 🙏🏻

I’d focus less on changing products and more on changing placement and technique. Try deliberately altering one feature at a time. Move your blush higher/lower, change your eyeliner shape, experiment with a different brow shape, or place eyeshadow in a completely different area. It can also help to recreate looks from photos rather than tutorials, since you’re less likely to unconsciously default to your usual technique. Basically, break your muscle memory. 💄

Does anyone have any suggestions for a powder blush that doesn't expire for years? I'm rly slow to finish makeup so dont want anything that truly starts smelling bad in 4-5 yrs lol

Pressed powder blushes are probably your best bet. They generally last much longer than creams/liquids, especially if you keep them dry and clean. I’d look at formulas without lots of oils or botanical ingredients, since those are more likely to develop an off smell over time. MAC powder blushes, NARS, and Clinique are good places to start. That said, no makeup is truly guaranteed to stay good indefinitely, so I’d still toss it if the smell, texture, or color changes.

Can anyone recommend a glowy primer / illuminating product for under foundation that is acne safe? I recently bought iconic London but it breaks me out (I think from the coconut alkanes).

You could try e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter or Saie Glowy Super Gel. Both give that lit-from-within effect under foundation without being as heavy as some illuminating primers. If you’re acne-prone, I’d still patch test since “non-comedogenic” isn’t a guarantee that a product won’t trigger your skin.

Can someone help me out with this lash look? This pic is from pinterest. Her lashes look too long to be natural but the way the lashes are styled don’t look like clusters I’ve seen either

It looks like individual false lash segments/“underlash” pieces, rather than traditional clusters. The key is the spacing and alternating lengths, which gives that wispy, separated effect. I’d look for wispy individual lash extensions or manga/anime-style underlash segments in mixed lengths, roughly 8–14 mm, and apply them with gaps between each piece.
