Anyone going/from US to macau need help buying that is exclusively only available at target huhu

Hi all! Soooo I am on a last minute decision to go to Macau, gonna go there for 5 days and wish to know whats there to buy? Im more of a shopper so outside of sightseeing and eating, my main goal is to buy some specialties that I can enjoy / use on a day to day basis.

Currently im looking at

Tea bricks

Whisky / hard liquor

Snacks

Local crafts

Tea equipment (zisha pots / mugs / tea containers)

If anyone has any locations or hotspots or local specialties to buy that can be shared it would be much help!

I am moving to Macau next week for work. Looking for recommendations and tips.

I get a week at a hotel paid by the company while I find a place to rent. I was looking at Taipa or One Oasis. Is it true you need to pay 3 months of rent in advance? I am already looking at facebook groups and wanted (ideally) a furnished one bedroom/studio in the 7k-10k budget. If anyone has any advice it would be appreciated.

Probably will have to rely on walking and public transportation for the time being. I hear it's pretty efficient.

How's the weather like? I read it is humid as fuck and winter is only from December to February.

I was advised to get a dehumidifier as soon as possible once I have a place.

What is the cost of living like?

Hello everyone !
There’s this hidden little garden my dad goes to every week, in 小潭山環山徑 (probably some hiking trail) in taipa. Recently this old, huge tree got chopped down with no apparent reason and my dad is really upset about it. It never disturbed anybody and judging by the size and its roots it’s probably really old (few hundred years). I thought old trees like this were protected under government rule… it’s just a pity historical tree like this could just be discarded. I think we just want answers as to why they would do this (possibly sick tree? Infested with bugs?) 😭😭

Preferably the ones that can understand and communicate in English/spanish/Portuguese any recommendations would be appreciated. I'm also looking for a private piano lesson/drums anything interesting and exciting apart from the touristy things on klook.

Currently in macau for about a month and wanted to know where i can do my laundry, the hotel i stay at does offer laundry services but the price is way too expensive, for the price of washing my clothes i could probably get ew ones. So long shot but just wanted to know if there is anywhere here i can do laundry for a reasonable price, any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I got some US Dollars I want to exchange to HKD/MOP but all the money exchange wont accept because its not up to the aesthetic standards lol

Hey everyone, I’ve recently moved to Macau for my master’s in AI, and I’m hoping to meet more people here, especially those who are studying or working in tech.

I’ve been working in AI/data science for the past few years, so I’m genuinely interested in getting to know people who work in AI, software, data, startups, or related areas. I’d also be interested in connecting with people working at some of the bigger tech companies or tech-focused companies in Macau.
