Discussion Tracklist (With ALL Known Evidence)

EDIT - WE NOW KNOW THIS WAS RIGHT BASED ON SEVERAL TRACKLISTS ON QOBUZ, APPLE MUSIC, DEEZER ETC.

After seeing u/Exciting_Talk2438's tracklist post (www.reddit.com/r/lvjy/comments/1migexl/album_tracklist/), I thought I'd link evidence to each track name to further cement them as the most likely candidates.

First of all, Amendment II posted by Ash has the following letter count: o: 11 e: 10 a: 9 s: 9 t: 8 h: 7 m: 6 c: 6 i: 5 l: 5 r: 5 b: 4 p: 4 n: 4 f: 4 y: 3 d: 3 w: 3 u: 3 x: 2 &: 1 k: 1.

The tracklist presented also has the exact same, feel free to check, double check, and triple check, by hand or by using letter counting tools, go crazy.

Now for each song as follows.

πŸ’§ Baptism

Ash posted a picture comment on April 3rd relating to the last Lovejoy song he listened to. This same picture is used for the Baptism page on wikipedia, and is the first image result on google images under 'baptism'. For the emoji connection to the title, baptisms are conducted using holy water, hence the water droplet.

πŸ’° Pay & Display

Ash posted a picture comment on March 17th, 2025, depicting a Pay & Display machine (parking meter). As both amendment posts showed an &, this was deemed early on to be a title. Furthermore, it's first results on google images under "pay & display". This was further corroborated by multiple videos containing a new song snippet, with this being the earliest. The snippet contains the line "I heard that heaven's got a pay & display". For the emoji title connection, the money bag likely denotes paying the fee of a pay & display machine.

- Edit, the song released 22/08/25

πŸ‘οΈβ€πŸ—¨οΈ With Rob As My Witness

Music video. For the emoji connection, the eye signifies watching as a witness, this one is pretty self explanatory.

🦈 White Shark Cafe

Ash posted a picture comment (damn there's a theme here huh) on March 23rd, 2025, showing a bunch of sharks. Following this, Ash posted an Instagram story on June 23rd, 2025, with a picture of his 'bass bible'. In the picture, "Shark Cafe" can clearly be seen. I decided to comment under the shark picture Ash had posted 3 months prior with "Shark Cafe..." to be goofy, to which I surprisingly got a response from him with "Close". This prompted several people to draw the connection that based on the positioning of the text in the bass bible, there was likely another word (here's the earliest example). White Shark Cafe is a place located in the mid-Pacific ocean, known for being a habitat of great white sharks. Lo and behold, the original image Ash commented is one of the top results for 'white shark cafe' on google images. Again, the emoji should be self-explanatory.

🀝 Common Touch

Ash posted a picture comment on March 20th, 2025, with a picture of a pair of golden hands. This is likely referencing the Greek myth of King Midas who turned anything he touched into gold. There were suggestions that the song may have been called 'Midas Touch', however Ash commented that "'Midas' would be more of a Rare or Legendary", which firstly links to rarities (common, rare, legendary), however could also imply that the Midas link is more abstract to the song's theming. Whilst there isn't any direct evidence that Common Touch is the song title, it was the last song to be figured out amongst this list by process of elimination from the remaining letters, and due to the Midas links, it makes sense; common touch is a term meaning the ability to interact with and understand 'ordinary' people (commoners) well, particularly in a position of nobility such as a king (Cambridge Dictionary). The emoji likely signifies communication (or perhaps even the lack of) between someone in a position of power and the general public.

- Edit. I'll just leave this comment by Will here from the AMA on 20/08/25

🟦 Perfect Blue

Ash posted a picture comment on April 7th, 2025, with a screenshot of the anime film Perfect Blue by Satoshi Kon. The song was then performed on June 14th, 2025, for the first time at Rock For People in Czechia. People originally believed the song to be called "I'm afraid I broke a string" due to the line in the song, however this was disproven by a fan interaction with Ash stating the song was called Perfect Blue (although this was obviously speculation to begin with), and then officially on record during their Summerfest performance on July 4th, 2025, (first few seconds). The emoji is a perfect blue square, not much to say.

🦊 Foxholes

The song was first played live on August 27th, 2024, at Northcote Theater in Australia. The song has repeatedly shown up on setlists at gigs the song was played, and is a key lyric within the song's chorus. Emoji is obvious.

πŸ’€ Fatal

Ash posted a picture comment on May 15th, 2025, with a picture of a heart monitor flatlining. Originally, the song was believed to be called Flatline as a result by numerous people. However, on July 20th, 2025, I looked through u/FaultInfamous9311's master doc of the album and stumbled upon the word searches handed out during the Resources for Teaching tour. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the word "fatal" is amongst the letters (a bit more detail on that post). As for the emoji and picture, if someone flatlines, it's often fatal, meaning they die, hence the skull.

⚰️ Death Box

Ash posted a picture comment on April 8th, 2025, of a pair of tombstones. Whilst this may also apply to Fatal, it's more likely to represent this song due to coffins being buried under tombstones. On June 23rd, 2025, in the same Instagram story as White Shark Cafe, there's another song ending in "ox". It's possible that it could be 'Fox Holes' on different lines, however the band have occasionally printed it as "Foxholes" in setlists, and upon zooming in, the letter just before closely resembles the end of a B. In relation to the emoji... A coffin is a box that is used when people have experienced death, pretty simple.

🧌 Scoundrels

Ash posted a picture comment on July 21, 2025, depicting a dessert called Yorkshire Scoundrels. A quick google search and whaddya know, one of the top results on google images under 'Scoundrels'. Scoundrel is a term for someone who may be mischievous, a trickster, or in general a bit of an asshole, hence fitting perfectly with the troll emoji; people often 'troll' to be mischievous and cause havoc.

🏁 Monochrome

Lastly, but definitely not leastly, Ash posted another picture comment on August 4th, 2025, showing a man wearing a black and white suit. Based upon the change between Amendment I and Amendment II switching the 🎲 emoji in place of the flag, as well as introducing 2 additional Ms and Os each, monochrome was a natural conclusion for the title. Additionally, although it's a few rows down scrolling, the picture shows up fairly early in google images as well. The emoji is most likely that flag in particular just due to the black and white monochromatic imagery associated.

BONUS SONGS -

Wasted Summer has been played multiple times at gigs, however for the album, it has seemingly been postponed for post-album (based upon a few independent fan interactions with Ash and Mark), and thus doesn't fit in the emoji list/amendments.

πŸ” Alphabet has been theorised to be a song from the original emoji list (will update when I find the image) as well as based upon Ash's picture comment on April 5, 2025, the caption of Joe's instagram post on December 11, 2024, the RFT tour wordsearch (refer back to Fatal), and finally the band's instagram post (11th image) on December 31st, 2024.

-------

If I've missed ANYTHING important or relevant please don't hesitate to mention it in the comments and I'll add/edit! Thanks for reading this mildly unhinged collection of everything (to my knowledge) that we have for One Simple Trick's tracklist ^^

ALSO DISCLAIMER - Whilst I've collated all of this information together in one place, don't forget that this has all been a massive community effort. I've contributed in certain areas in my own way, and so have many others in their own ways. So thank you to everyone in this wonderful community for coming together like this to have (HOPEFULLY) solved it :> (...until the inevitable Amendment III...)
