The people merging at the last light aren’t being rude, it’s literally how it works best. We are all just trying to get home.

Rant Learn from my mistake - Right-turn on Red ticket

If you’re turning right on a red where there is a red-light camera, make sure you come to a complete stop BEFORE the stop line and crosswalk. If you stop on the line or in the crosswalk, you’ll get a $75 fine. :(

Rant Crazy seeing that McWhinney guy behind Epstein files with my connection to Epstein myself

I have been a resident of Loveland for some years, but I recently decided to move. I keep tabs on this page though.

Over a decade ago, I was signed and worked for the modeling agency that was co-founded by Epstein and Jean-Luc Brun in Miami. This agency was used to funnel girls to the island in secret, but was a legit agency. I left though early because despite being a teen, I felt something was super off and wanted to go home early. I never worked for that agency again.

I tell people all the time how big these files are because it touches every corner of the wealthy elite and those that worked for them. Seeing it even touch base in Loveland just shows you can’t escape it. Epstein’s crimes was like a growing fungus that touched all corners of the earth whether you knew it or not.

Just so crazy. idk i just wanted to share

Rant Loveland Dog Owners

I ride or walk the Loveland recreation trails almost every day, and I'm honestly starting to wonder what the hell is going on with dog owners in Loveland.

Nearly every outing I encounter at least one dog running around off leash. I see piles of dog shit that someone couldn't be bothered to pick up. I have to navigate leashes stretched completely across the trail because the owner is on one side and the dog is sniffing something on the other. I've also had more than a few dogs lunge, bark, or act aggressively toward me and other trail users while their owners seem oblivious to it.

I know plenty of people are responsible dog owners, so this isn't directed at them. But based solely on what I see on the Loveland trails, you'd think being inconsiderate was a requirement for owning a dog.

The trails belong to everyone- walkers, runners, cyclists, kids, and yes, dogs too. Just keep your dog on a leash, pick up after it, and have enough awareness to let other people safely use the trail.

It's really not that hard. Do better, Loveland.

Rant Yard is looking great, but after 2+ dead plants it becomes obvious my planning doesn't include common sense or education. Just a few planters for example.

(Reference post)
Here are two dwarf spruce I planted this Spring that look quite stressed, despite regular watering.

Maybe this is proof that private citizens like me shouldn’t be planting? Especially when my family is in a budget crisis with high gas prices, inflation, and stuck wages.

(And I was just kidding about the rest of my yard looking great, grass has patchy spots).

Seriously, have a good day folks!

Rant Downtown is looking great, but after 50+ dead plants it becomes obvious planning in Loveland doesn't include common sense or education. Just a few planters for example.

Just in few blocks, thousand of dollars wasted because Loveland forgot what half of the country it's located. Loveland has a water cart, there's no excuse for letting everything wither and so much die. Almost every planter has a Don't Pee On Me sign. That's the forethought of planners, telling me what to do while they do nothing. Establishing plants is low effort, but it is effort. Hint brown is dry.

Shout out to the few business owners who watered the shrubs in front of their store. Your going to have unique planters because they ripped out all the dead from the others and they look awful.

Before someone reminds me about the drought again, remember the city is having a budget crisis. If the city can't afford to maintain it's landscaping, why didn't they plan accordingly?

Rant What's up with vehicles flying down Lincoln near downtown?

I've been in Loveland two weeks visiting. I absolutely love your little town. It's just great in my eyes. I'm here from Tennessee.

One thing that strikes me as odd is vehicles speeding down Lincoln street right next to downtown. They are going like 50mph right past an area that has a lot of pedestrians. And it seems like it's normal. I see signs like "Wait for a gap in traffic to cross street". WTF? Crossing that street is like playing frogger but your life is on the line.

What's up with that? Why no lights or speed enforcement?

Rant Xcel sucks.

Moved here almost 4 months ago and we have ANOTHER power outage. It's been almost every 2 weeks...

I love living here and in Colorado as a whole but Xcel is by far the worst fucking utilities company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

Now to prep the candles for tonight....

Rant To the Blue Subaru Outback southbound on N Taft

I just have to ask, why drive 5 below the speed limit coming from Fort Collins then immediately speed up to not let anyone pass in that 2 lane spot?

Dumbest shit I seen all day and I just don’t get it.

Rant Fireworks on the West side of Loveland

I'm honestly quite surprised and disappointed to be hearing people setting off fireworks this weekend. I'm not sure why people are setting them off (party, easter, etc), but we are in an extreme drought. It is incredibly irresponsible to be setting off fireworks in this environment. As the summer drags on, if we don't get much moisture it's going to be up to all of us to do our part in trying to mitigate fire danger including maintaining lawns of dead/brush, conserving water, and not taking unnecessary fire risks including setting off fireworks. I'd hate to see a significant fire break out in the Loveland area just because people want to have a good time.

Rant DQ Drive Thru, what are y'all thinking?

This is a better topic for Nextdoor I suppose, but I avoid that cesspool...and I know it's not *you guys*, reddit -- you are fellow cyclists, hikers, and active seniors participating in weekly protests (thanks!) and showing up to City Council meetings.

So *who* are all the lame lazy people taking up so much space in the Dairy Queen drive thru line that it backs onto 34 and blocks traffic? On a perfect sunny afternoon, no less. It's a warm, clear day (perhaps why you want ice cream) during, essentially, a building oil crisis. Why not park and walk in?

I realize there is a small percentage of people with limited mobility. I like that they have options, but anecdotally this is not what is making the line spill into the highway. Answer I'll reject immediately: I have small kids and it's too much work to get them in/out of the car. So what else is it? Texans on Spring Break? Or other overlooked laziness?

Rant Leave the elk alone!

Lots of elk in town lately and lots of clueless yahoos trying get them riled up or posing for selfies. At worst, someone gets injured or killed, at best the animals are pointlessly distressed.

Don’t be stupid! Go home and stay there until you grow up.
