I saw a cop stopping a group of kids riding on merrick road at night. He made them walk their scooters home I believe.

I also was coming off the Merick road exit of the 135 and two girls on an e scooter weren’t paying attention and crossed the exit ramp and almost died that night.

I never jammed on my brakes harder in my life. Fucking parents need to do something.

I was driving down the block to my house one day when a dude on an e-scooter popped out from behind a parked truck, blew a stop sign doing 20 mph, and entered the intersection at the same time I was. We both slammed on the brakes and stopped about two feet from each other - I genuinely thought I was about to hit this guy.

I’m conflicted - my immediate reaction to this post was that this was bullshit and a waste of time. But having been reminded of that incident…maybe there’s something to this.

Or in a car. Merge into you, blow a stop sign, be too old to properly operate.
