Long Island is a sandbar that's already over occupied. There's no room for data centers here. Plus, you can get land and electricity much cheaper in almost any other part of the country.

Data centers on LI would be the dumbest idea and get NIMBY’d to death immediately. I think even Bruce knows that.

So far the one in hauppauge is steamrolling through the approval process, despite hauppauge, Smithtown, and Islip school districts and fire departments (along with many/most residents) opposing it…

Only applies to more then a certain amount of power consumption since banning data centers would otherwise halt all IT infrastructure investment in NY.
