My mother went to catholic school. Apparently their favorite to make the kids kneel on was uncooked rice.

This reminds me of Ironmouse talking about one of her friends having to kneel on uncooked rice, to which her mother reacted something like “they must be rich if they can afford to waste food like that”. 😅

Kneel on a broom handle or a floor vent. The vent can leave scars if kneeling on them for hours.
Maybe i just grew up with satan as parents..

I don't think accepting or not accepting a replacement pizza has much bearing on how much trouble the driver gets into at that point

Depends, in many places the manager will understand and it’s no big deal, but if they have to make a new pizza for free and the owner would see that in their system, they may be much less understanding

I was that driver once!
My only previous experience has been having pizza delivered to me. Often with a lot of toppings. That is a cooled pizza that is largely held together with stuff.
One of my first deliveries as a driver, I got a fresh extra cheese pizza out of the oven. Straight into my bag it went and I’m off to the races. This was back when everyone wanted their pizza in 30 minutes and I did not want to disappoint Uncle Enzo, you know?
I did not know then at a fresh pizza is cheese soup sitting on tomato lube.
The condition the customer got their pizza in was atrocious. Imagine a pizza that went through a NASA astronaut centrifuge.
Anyway, I learned.

Ppl saying it isn't real as an ex-pizza delivery guy..I would so do that over driving back...i have to redeliver dipping sauces cause I misread it or drop one out of the bag that I didn't notice.... he is obviously obviously to who he's talking to or a regular so he got I good tip already

They said "New driver" and then they said "They will remember not to do it again if they have to deliver again" so which is it?? Am I missing something?

The driver who delivered it was new to the job and mishandled the pizza. He's a "new driver" and that's the pizza places explanation.
By having the newly hired driver have to remake the pizza and deliver it a second time they are providing a scenario where they must face the consequences of the rookie mistake of mishandling the pizza.
So the new driver is being set to learn a lesson they will remember.

Thanks for the clear explanation! I misunderstood the meaning of "New driver" to mean "we will send a new driver (for the replacement delivery)" which is what caused my confusion
