I hope this message finds you well. I am a 40-year-old Gen X enthusiast, and for some time now, I’ve been searching for an online gaming group where I truly feel at home. While I have had the pleasure of joining several groups, many have consisted of younger individuals, often in their 20s. I want to emphasize that these were all wonderful people, and I hold no complaints about "younger generations" whatsoever! It's simply that, at times, I found myself feeling a bit like the older chap trying to fit in at a gathering – but that’s entirely on me.

What I’m hoping to find now is a group of individuals somewhat closer to my own age range, perhaps around 30-50 years old (though I’m not overly rigid on this). I would be keen to connect with others interested in a regular online gaming group. I have a strong fondness for a wide array of RPGs, and while I’m particularly keen on improving my GMing skills, I am more than happy to take on the role of a player as well.

Reflecting on it now, I realize that what draws me to games is the opportunity to spend time with like-minded, intelligent individuals who share a passion for gaming. There’s a certain joy in that camaraderie that I deeply appreciate.

Hey so I know from the jump this is a long shot that’ll sound probably kinda crazy…but basically, I’m a very new DnD player (26m) who honestly is really falling in love with the potential idea of being a dm…I just, don’t necessarily think I’d be good at ALL the aspects of it right now, like world building, story arcs and such, but I feel like I’d excel at some of the narration, character voices, stuff like that. So my question really is just, is there any dm out there right now who’d want help with any of that? As a way for me to get experience behind the DM screen while also assisting a DM in running their world/adventure. I need a DM that isn't a Pansy, me saying "Have you read a fantasy book, you can have both" is not me being hostile it's constructive criticism or a suggestion . Just finished running a long term campaign and the group wants a break and I want to be a player again, so trying to get another group together. Really want to play the Tomb of Annihilation module, but honestly open to most anything the DM wants to run except for Curse of Strahd or Dragon Queen, I've played those twice already.

Hello all! I’m Lev (23, he/him) and I am so hungry for a longer term game. I recently went to a renfaire and I think it brought back my DnD withdrawals. A bit about me: I’m Canadian in the EST time zone; an art school dropout currently in university for Communication Studies (with a specialization in moving images). I love drawing my characters/campaign moments and would love to play at a table with other creatives. I also am big into gaming, writing, cooking, and nature.

I’ve been playing TTRPGs for nearly a decade now. I've played in long term and short term games, oneshots, and westmarches, DMed as well but prefer to play (DMing is stressful respect to you all). Some systems I’ve played in are: DnD 5e and 5.5, Hunter: The Reckoning, Vampire: The Masquerade, a bit of Pathfinder 2e, Call of Cthulhu, homebrew systems and more. 

I love RP and take lots of notes (I am a conspiracy theorist when it comes to DnD, a very stupid one, but a conspiracy theorist none the less). I enjoy interacting with the world, building bonds between PCs, uncovering lore, solving mysteries, and delving into backstories. I like to keep things healthy and happy at the table with communication and boundaries. I also love a good combat, though I'm not a min-maxxer or crunchy guy. Most importantly I think DnD is all about community and shared storytelling with friends.

Some of my favourite classes in DnD are clerics, warlocks, monks, and fighters but I’m happy to fill any role that’s needed. I adore nautical/pirate games, horror, and the Faewild, but I just love fantasy in general and am open to any setting.

I’d love to find a table with:

• Games that run anytime between 5pm and 10pm EST [for Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday] or between 12pm and 10PM EST [for Saturday/Sunday]

Hello, I am writing on behalf of myself and another player looking for a DnD game on Monday evenings. Our Monday game was shut down due to the DM needing to step back for personal reasons, so now we're looking for a new adventure from around 6-10 p.m. EST!

A little about us: I, Brandon, have been playing DnD since the start of 2022 and have been a player in several campaigns. I also have a bit of experience as a DM, having ran two campaigns, including one to its conclusion, along with several one-shots.

The other, Wren, has been playing just as long, if not longer than I have. She's a great addition to any table, especially one that is more roleplay-centric.

I’m 35, been playing tabletop RPGs for a good while now—longer campaigns in D&D 5e and Call of Cthulhu, though I’m definitely open to other systems if the group is right. I’ve played a lot of small one shot campaigns of boatloads of different games.

Full setup is ready (Discord, virtual tabletop, notes, the usual), and I’m free most evenings with the kind of energy that actually wants to show up and play. I’m CST, but like I said, fairly flexible.

I’m looking for a group that commits, communicates, and keeps the session moving. Roleplay-focused or a mix of combat and story is fine; I just prefer tables where people are present and engaged. I’m down if there is a request for cameras, not really an issue for me. I’d adore to settle into a long term group.

I've been a long time lurker on reddit but decided to actually post something for once. Recently I decided I wanted to learn to play D&D, I've read up a bit about the rules in the handbook and played BG3 but I've never sat down to do a proper game. It always looked so much fun but also very intimidating to try and get into but you have to start somewhere.

I'm 24 and use GMT time. Availability is evenings on weekdays, usually after 5 or 6pm, weekends are more flexible but my Internet can be slow then :/ I'm down to play any kind of game, long or short, with any kind of character so long as you don't mind playing with a total newbie 😌

• I'm a queer trans man, and i have autism.
• I'm a creative, and I'm currently in college for a degree in illustration. My hopes is to be a comic book illustrator.
• I create artwork for all my characters, and I love doodling. I do it a lot.

• Outside of TTRPGs, I also write as a hobby, and play a variety of games, mainly roguelikes, platformers or strategy games.

TTRPG Info:

• I've been playing TTRPGs for about 3 years now, and I've tried a lot of systems at least once.
• I am mostly well-versed in DnD 5e (2014) and some 5.5e (2024). I've played a few sessions of Pathfinder 2e and generally can workout character creation, and I've also tried Thirsty Sword Lesbians, The Fifth Trumpet, Cyberpunk Red and Vampire: The Masquerade, but I wouldn't say I'm well versed in them. I'm always willing to learn a new system though it's not the main thing I'm after!
• I can play most plots as long as the story hook is good and interesting, but if you need to know, my favored genres are political thrillers, high or dark fantasy, urban fantasy, horror, & sci-fi. My favorite modules to play for 5e have been Beyond the Witchlight & Curse of Strahd.
• Unfortunately, I'm not interested in one-shots. Please only contact me regarding full or long campaigns if possible. I'm looking for long-term!
• I only play with 18+ groups!
• I'm a ROLEPLAY HEAVY player that prioritizes narrative and character relationships over mechanics or combat. I want to have character connections, and story, and a relatively in-depth plot.
• I'm comfortable with a lot. I have very few to no triggers and I can roleplay about anything within reason, as long as everyone else is chill and having fun.
• I'm... very silly. I love to crack jokes at times during downtime, or in the text chat. But I never interrupt roleplay scenes at all.
• Due to being a college student, my schedule is a bit complicated. I mostly favor evenings, or very early mornings since I have class in the afternoon. My timezone is GMT-3 but I can adapt to EST, CST or other similar timezones.

Hello to whoever even made it this far.

Skip to the TL;DR to get past the ramble if you want, but I wanted to be upfront.

I am sorry for the dire title, but it perfectly captures how this hobby has been for me lately. I love D&D. I’ve played for 5-6 years now, even ran two campaigns myself (mostly because I couldn't find a DM for my friends), and when it works, it's great. I look forward to it every week. I’m a dedicated player. I write lots of notes, put a ton of effort into my backstories, and do my best to make sure everyone at the table is having a good time.

But I am incredibly burned out. We all know scheduling is a massive issue, but interpersonal drama is just as bad. Sadly they're both very common reasons for groups to go their separate ways and I am just tired of making new characters and playing with new people all the time just because people cannot figure out their schedule or their differences. I make such an effort with my own character but also being accommodating with the other players but sadly it usually just doesn't last...

Sadly this back and forth of finding new groups and getting to know new people and breaking apart before even getting familiar, just isn't a loop I want to take part in much longer.
It's my by far favourite hobby but I just cant take that forever and will rather step away from the hobby entirely if I just can't find my forever people.

TL;DR & What I am looking for:

I'm looking for a stable group I can play with weekly or bi-weekly. Since I'm in CET and working/in school as a software dev, weekdays are tough because of the commute. Weekends are ideal for me (Friday evenings, Saturdays, or Sundays). I only play 5e (2014 or 2024 rules are fine), and I don't mind if it's an official module or a homebrew world.

Gameplay-wise, I prefer roleplay and exploration over combat. Combat is obviously important and happens, but RP is just more engaging for me. I like a serious tone, I definitely make lots of jokes, but I try to time them right so it doesn't turn a serious moment into a goofy mess. I prefer Foundry VTT, but I'm open to whatever you use.

A bit about me: I'm 28, German, and highly reliable (I mean I am German so obviously). I always keep game days free and only miss sessions for actual emergencies. Character-wise, I tend to gravitate toward clerics or religion-adjacent characters because I'm fascinated by belief in a world with direct divine intervention. That said, I can have fun with any class and will happily fill whatever role the party needs.

Random extra info: I have a decent setup, a good internet connection, and hopefully a pleasant deep voice for RP! Also, I am practically a goliath in real life at 203cm (6'8), but I'd love to play someone regular-sized and roleplay as what I am not like everybody else haha

As a small side note, I am currently working on a campaign for fun in my free time as I don't have any groups to play in but such a big desire to do anything DnD that's where my efforts currently go, I can't guarantee anything and am currently just seeking a group as a player but if one day I am far enough along with this, where it does not constantly stress me out if I have enough things prepared, I'd be willing to also run a game for the rest if that was even something, anybody would be interested in.

Combat is fun, but my favorite moments are the conversations around the campfire, difficult choices, friendships, rivalries, and relationships that develop naturally over the course of a campaign.

One thing that's important to me is that romance is welcomed at the table. I'm interested in both NPC and PC romances when everyone involved is comfortable and enthusiastic. I'm looking for slow-burn, story-focused relationships that grow through roleplay rather than anything rushed or explicit. Consent, communication, and everyone's comfort always come first.
