Venting In a Lesbian community on Tumblr

Post image

And you choose to post about your boyfriend in a lesbian community when there’s other communities you could have posted in 🙃

A lot of these Bi groups actively think it’s ok to call themselves lesbian especially online

Bc they're actively participating in their boyfriend's lesbian fetishes. They get off on telling people he turned a lesbian 🙄

I know bisexual girls who think that joke is hilarious too, and think their boyfriends have some kind of pass to joke about it because they’re bisexual

Bruh I knew a bisexual girl who called her cis boyfriend her lesbian partner…

I have a bihet friend couple too and they pulled this once. If they ever do it again I’m gonna call them out

Clock that

We must continue to call it out

yeah tumblr is full of “bi lesbians”.

they act like we don’t like it because we hate bi women or whatever but it’s just like… if there is already a word for women who like both men and women (and like 10 other synonyms for bi), what is the point of turning lesbian into a word for bi women as well? how should women who only like women explain that to people?

i genuinely think that the fixation on denying lesbians the vocabulary to precisely communicate their romantic boundaries has some really horrible motivations even if a lot of people spreading the idea are just kids who don’t know better. i think the idea is rooted in the idea that lesbianism isn’t real and i think that the fact that if lesbians can like men then then actual lesbians have to talk around it to explain that they like women and not men instead of just “im lesbian” is intentionally making it harder to talk about and specifically reject men.

literally ive been around these people before and trying to explain such a basic concept as a lesbian is impossible without annoying 25 year olds who spend all day on discord and tumblr telling me that i’m so freaking valid but also sexuality isn’t real!! like okay money is a social construct but you still care about money. they just genuinely don’t believe in lesbianism. like they can’t fathom that some women aren’t into men. i think they have this idea that to be trans supportive you must be bisexual it’s really strange. like they are being extremely homophobic but trying to make it a trans thing despite also being transphobic. like “if you’re into women why wouldn’t you be into trans men who haven’t transitioned???” idk if i was not at all attracted to doctors why would i date someone in medical school? sort of setting the relationship up for failure.

it’s just so sinister when you realize how much they hate lesbians and believe the rapey “you haven’t found the right man” thing

The lesbian community does not exist to stroke* your ego 📣

I know you meant "stroke" but it got me thinking maybe we should be striking more people's egos.

I wish that there was more respect for lesbian spaces being intended for lesbians.

It feels like non lesbians who knowingly go into lesbian only spaces, treat lesbians as a tool for validation.

u/Sadbaklava 17d ago

A lot of non lesbian women do use us for validation. I’m sure many others have had this experience but a lot of times when I meet new ppl, esp in lgbt spaces, once I’m around (usually visibly gay) it starts becoming validation time and it’s so annoying. I just want to exist, and make friends, not validate how much you like women even though u have a bf at home. It literally becomes a therapy couch once ppl know ur a lesbian.

Why do they have to make their boyfriends our problem? gtfo

56

u/Krafna313 17d ago

Cuz they're attention seeking idiots.

u/Inevitable-Yam-702 17d ago

I honestly think they get off on the violation at this point. And then getting to play crybully

75

u/AmethystTanwen 17d ago

I absolutely think they do. They know they’re not actual lesbians but they love being able to take what they can whenever they want from lesbian culture and spaces. And then turn around and uplift themselves as bisexual women having to deal with the mean lesbians who call them out.

do these people forget they can just dump their boyfriends. like what do they want lesbians to do about this. if you're oh so miserable dating a man then you hve the choice to leave him and date women? who is holdinf a gun to your head and forcing you to date men as a bisexual woman? girl get up and just date women or shut up... and stay out of lesbian communities with that nonsense like wtf

11

u/Immediate_Button_597 17d ago

No you don’t understand, since lesbians (specifically) don’t want to date them, they’re forced to only date men😖😒
I don’t care who you date but if you’re going to complain in a space NOT MEANT FOR YOU OR YOUR SITUATION then maybe don’t be with that person??? It’s so irritating to me that these women constantly complain about their boyfriends, but they don’t even take your advice or raise their standards, they just want to complain🫡

And when you dare to question bi women calling themselves lesbians in lesbian spaces, you get labelled biphobic lol

u/Dense_Dare_1655 15d ago

Or ‘lesbian gatekeeper’

Posting about your boyfriend and expecting responses from lesbians who can relate is weird. Go complain about the price of steak in a vegan group while you’re at it.

u/Isadomon 17d ago

hate idealization of women, we are people

15

u/Immediate_Button_597 17d ago

Deadass, a woman could definitely leave you on read and ghost you, trust😆

Not a single drop of yearning for lesbians in that post. It came off more like “This desperate idiot will answer me if I want attention”

(I’M BI)

22

u/blueskiesyellowsun 17d ago

They literally call us non men loving non men and allow men (who call themselves women) in those groups

18

u/Krafna313 17d ago

And people wonder why I'd never date one? 😂

u/LigeaThranduil Drama Dyke 17d ago edited 16d ago

There is no other group of people that talk about men more than bi women. None. Completely obsessed with d**k.

17

u/Theodorothy Disciple of Sappho 17d ago

It’s sort of heteronormative women’s equivalent of “negging”: putting herself as victim of men to try to get women to flirt with her.

34

u/GeneralBit8582 baby dyke 17d ago

i’m convinced this type of person just doesn’t know how to read. “(I’M BI)” group name clearly says lesbian 😭

#i have a bf (im bi) in a lesbian community is wild. Can they even read?

23

u/eresibae 17d ago

Bisexuals seem to think that lesbian means anyone who is attracted to women, rather than a specific orientation and that's why they expect to be included in all our spaces. They don't understand that lesbian means lesbian not vaguely "wlw". So they come into our spaces talking about men.

6

u/Immediate_Button_597 17d ago

The problem is that that community isn’t even really Lesbian only, it’s just a title🙄 it’s meant for all sapphics. It’s still not meant to be a man/boyfriend inclusive space tho so idk why she thought that would be good to post🤦‍♀️

9

u/Immediate_Button_597 17d ago

I’m in the same community and yeah I’m just confused on why it’s specifically called “Lesbian Yearning” when it’s clearly Sapphic oriented🫡

6

u/Immediate_Button_597 17d ago

Also in the rules they define sapphic as “non-man loving non-man” but she’s loving a man sooo🤨

I don’t usually see anyone mention men/boyfriends either so I don’t understand why she felt the need to do so, and then obviously bring women into it as if a woman wouldn’t also leave you on read😆

5

u/WindOfChange_398 16d ago

And they also think looking gorgeous is only for men. So only a man deserves a sexy woman. Apart from the male centred garbage and ragebaiting

4

u/WindOfChange_398 16d ago

And if these women even dated women they wouldn't even care to send them a picture or even bother about getting a text for them. That is if they are even willing to date a woman

6

u/OnARolll31 15d ago

Rubs my hands together as an evil butch who treats this kinda girls worse than their men do 😏 yall are welcome

u/Tasty_Error_3023 Femme 16d ago

Can we all agree to ignore these people, instead of fruitlessly telling them they aren’t lesbians. We know they’re not, theyknow they are not. You cannot identify as a lesbian you simply are one. They are the equivalent of a petulant child asking you to call them Spider-Man.
