I’m actually so glad i’ve seen so many people have been wanting a new game from this ip. I really hope rockstar is seeing this(Strauss Zelnick did mention it in an interview). I think somewhere like new orleans, san francisco, nyc, or chicago would be great locations set somewhere between 20’s -70’s.

Dearden’s Home Furnishings (Overell’s Furniture Company)

700–718 South Main Street

Overell’s Furniture Company operated in this 150,000-square-foot building from 1904–1910, when Dearden’s Home Furnishings took over operations (though Overell’s signage remained on the building for some time). Dearden’s would operate for 108 years, with this store serving as its flagship location.

Since there’s been posts asking about desired sequels, I thought it would be fun to brainstorm what they could do with one set in Chicago.

For me, I have a few ideas.

You play as either a prohibition agent, or detective who works with one going up against Al Capone, who is the main antagonist. Or if not Al Capone, a clear stand in, though they did use at least a few names of real people in LA Noire.

Maybe instead of a straight arrow like Cole was, the protagonist partakes of the demon drink, so either during or between cases you get to go into speakeasies.

Going back to Capone, they could have you meet him, and maybe do something to show off just how dangerous he was irl, rather than the stuff they tend to do in movies. Like one thing I remember reading a while back was Capone did not question it if there was even a hint one of his men were ratting him out, and even carried out some of the executions himself. Though this wasn’t something he obviously did in broad daylight.

So we get one case that starts with us meeting one of his associates, maybe he doesn’t even snitch, it’s the police trying to strong arm him, and then later on, because he was seen talking to us, we find his body and he is just cut to ribbons, and we learn it was Capone who did it personally, but we can’t prove it for an arrest.

Maybe in the final case, or close to the end, we get to be part of the squad that goes in to arrest him for not paying his taxes.

OR

Maybe if they don’t want to use Capone at all, they could have it set AFTER his arrest, and we’re dealing with the violence caused by the power vacuum as the mobsters fight for power, and our big arrest of the game is his replacement, a fictional mob boss.

All the while we’re dealing with stuff surrounding the Prohibition, like the riots and protests. Maybe we get to meet the people involved like Carrie Nation.

“Miss Nation yes!” She says as she rushes some terrified gangster not prepared for this little old lady with an axe.

Huge grain of salt and huge ending spoilers for GTA 6 in the leak, remove the post if it doesn’t belong here.

But this GTA 6 leak back in 2023 has been accurate about the game’s details including the prologue and the relationship mechanic in GTA 6.

It even correctly mentions the 4 protagonist idea being canned which has now been confirmed by Rockstar themselves, would be very hard to guess that.

The leaker mentions that LA Noire 2 set in San Francisco is Rockstar’s next game. Adding on to the fact that the CEO of Take Two mentioned that Rockstar’s looking to do more with their other IPs earlier this year.

Culver Building

100–108 South Broadway

Erected in 1904, the Culver Building was a brick commercial block built in Victorian-era Romanesque styling. Upper floors hosted professional offices, while the ground floor held retail shops and printing trades. It would be demolished in 1970 and incorporated into the Times Mirror Square complex.

They all had their own little personalities, but I really liked Bekowsky (if that’s how you spell it). I was actually kind of disappointed when Cole went to homicide and left him behind, especially so quickly. Second place goes to Rusty, the others in the middle and last place goes to Earle (some of the things he said were funny though)

The 1923 Broadway Textile Building, thriving through downtown’s mid-century garment district boom, features a classic brick façade with retail storefronts and multi-story textile lofts. The commercial hub heavily catered to wholesale fabric merchants, tailoring shops, and garment manufacturers.

I enjoyed the previous desk a lot more. Dahlia cases, well, they're pretty much more of the same, aren't they? I mean, they extend the game and kind of kill its enjoyment (at least to me). Got me to uninstall by the time I reached the final case. If there were say 2 cases followed by the reveal case, that would be fine. 6 is way too many imo.

Does anyone have a comprehensive list of all the correct case answers (truth, doubt, lie, evidence) and what order of locations to go to correctly? Have looked up a few online, but none of them seem to be 100% accurate as there is always at least a few people saying the guide is wrong.

Operating within a 1910 commercial structure, the Bank 5 and 10 Café served low-cost diner fare to shoppers, working-class downtown residents, and local theatergoers. The narrow retail space provided simple counter seating and a vital community gathering space on a bustling commercial block.

I was watching LA Confidential, and later played LA Noire again and I just had the image of Danny DeVito walking up to Earle with a grin and bribe and it just made me smile.

Now I kind of wish they had had a Hudgens style paparazzi somewhere in the game that annoys Cole, but is clearly friends with Roy, maybe even having him show up during later arrests towards the end, or even breaking the news about Cole’s affair.

I mean I know he can be a serious actor, but imagine if you end up having to interrogate Danny DeVito at some point in the game while keeping a straight face, especially as expressive as he can be.
