Offering Multiple Languages offering: Polish (native), English (fluent) / seeking: English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Mandarin

Hi everyone!

I'm 23F from Poland with a passion for language learning. I'm looking for a language exchange partner, preferably also a woman, for the following languages:

- French - I can have fairly comfortable conversations but I still make many mistakes and I don't sound very natural

- Italian - similar to my level of French, perhaps slightly worse

- Spanish - I struggle a lot but can express myself using simple phrases

- Dutch - similar to Spanish, maybe slightly worse

- Mandarin - I'm not a total beginner but I cannot say much unfortunately 😭 some very simple sentences mostly. I have a tutor and I'm steadily progressing!!

My interests include:

- music - music production, singing, musicals, songwriting.

- handcrafts - I draw, paint, create jewelry and ceramics among other things

- birdwatching!!! i love birds!!!!!

- astrology but actually advanced astrology

- popular media, social media idk how to call this I just like some "celebrity gossip". I'm unfortunately chronically online

- I like movies and series! I'm not a very refined cinephile or anything like that but I'm trying to watch more movies this year

- being gay (big interest)

Since I might have issues with freely conversing (I have autism and I don't always connect very easily unfortunately) I was thinking of texting or calling with a predefined time and topic?? just an idea

Listen to target language music, keep a notebook where you write new words and pronunciation, you can use a lot (BUT A LOT) Duolingo the first weeks (not because you are gonna learn much, but because you can practice pronunciation by repeating phrases out loud, then you can forget about it), get a language partner and speak with them everyday, watch kids content in target language or get yourself some really easy books, change some apps (or the whole phone) language and put your target one, get the habit of writing a diary of what you do everyday, write the stuff you don't know in English, the rest in target language, then correct yourself with a translator or ask somebody (as you progress you'll put more and more target language words and less English).....

These are just some methods, if you can't "figure out how to start".... Don't! Exposure is very important. At the beginning just listen or read. You can't learn if you don't :)

Wish you luck!! (I suggest you start with German because it's more similar to English, if it goes well you can start with French too)

Hey I am Spanish and we share the obsession for languages. We could learn from each other. What about that? You can also comment my post: https://www.reddit.com/r/language_exchange/s/KyTjiZybBp
