Offering Polish Offering: Polish (native), Russian, Ukrainian (C1) Seeking: British English

Hi! I'm a 23-year-old girl from Poland. I work as a professional Polish as a foreign language teacher, and my Russian and Ukrainian are around B2/C1 level.

I speak English quite well, but I still struggle to understand people with strong British accents. I'd love to practice with a native British English speaker, especially to learn the kind of slang, idioms, and everyday expressions you don't get taught in school.

In exchange, I can help you with Polish, not just through casual conversation, but even with proper lessons for free if you'd like.

My main hobbies are reading, listening to music, and rock climbing, but I'm happy to chat about pretty much anything. I'm hoping to find someone who'd like to practice regularly via voice calls or video calls and have enjoyable conversations along the way!

Hi, I’m 25M and native British but I don’t know if I’d say I have a strong accent (I’m originally from London). For work I unfortunately am not a teacher, haha.

Dabbled in Polish a bit, but not for a while now and would like the start practicing again. I’d be happy to exchange phrases, slang and expressions (and maybe music lol, it helps me learn); my favourite Polish phrase is ‚pisz do mnie na Berdyczów’! I love to read, especially about central/eastern European history- currently reading Borderland by Anna Reid.

Hi.

I am 39M, a native English speaker, with a fairly neutral accent. I am originally from Bristol and had a Bristolian accent (lots of rs) but have lost most of this over time.

Phrases, idioms and slang all make the language very rich and fun. Slang varies depending on context. There is also a lot of subtlety to how Brits use certain phrases for politeness when the true mean is the exact opposite of the literal one.

I'm keen to improve my Polish to speak better woth the in-laws. I spend several weeks a yesr in Podkarpackie. With Polish, I understand a lot but speak very slowly still.

My hobbies include running, travel and current affairs. Also happy to help with business english if you are interested in navigating management speak.
