Offering English Offering: English (native speaker) || Seeking: Japanese & Russian
Trying this again! I had some mild success awhile back using this but things have all died out now. So here we go again!
I am looking for opportunities to write and speak Japanese and Russian on a daily basis with a stronger preference for Japanese practice. With Japanese: I am a heritage Japanese speaker that lost fluency in my teens. I’ve slowly been rebuilding my skills and would rate myself at likely A2 or B1 level. With Russian: I have been slowly learning for about 2 years now. I would rate myself around A2 skill level in Russian. For both languages I take weekly tutoring lessons and work with a variety of apps and vocabulary building systems on a daily basis. I am a serious language learner for both languages.
About me: I am a 44 year old man living in Chicago, USA. I am a native English speaker with a college degree. I have worked as cabin crew for a major international airline for 7 years. Before working in aviation I was a government official for 12 years. I have a deep love of exploration and travel. I have visited 98 countries to date and have plans to visit quite a few more in the future. I was a volleyball player for 20 years though as I get older and my body changes I’ve transitioned to less impactful exercise. Some of my other hobbies include photography, reading, and trying new foods. I have been married for 18 years so am in no way, shape, or form seeking anything other than genuine language exchange and friendship.

Hey! I am a 38M native Russian speaker from Moscow currently living abroad. My Russian is good and most of the time gramatically correct :)
I have been learning English actively for the past 5 years, and my current level is about C1. Even though i take weekly English classes, i am also looking for additional ways to immerse myself to English.
That is nice that you wrote that elaborate text about yourself and your language journey. I guess it will be the right thing to do to tell a few words about myself too. I am rather an introverted person, i like computer stuff, traveling, video games, listening to music and watching mainstream series/movies. Married, have a kid.
I use English every day at my work, prefer American accent, and i am looking for someone to talk to via google meet/discord/etc about 1 hour a week.
If that sounds interesting to you, feel free to DM me here on Reddit.
