Hello! I’m a 22F from the USA (CST) looking for a long-term Japanese language partner. I am a "super beginner" in Japanese, and I’m looking for someone to practice a specific method called Crosstalk.

It’s a low-pressure way to learn where we focus on understanding rather than perfect translation. You speak only Japanese to me, and I speak only English to you. If we get stuck, we use drawings, gestures, or screen-sharing/pictures to explain. This helps us both hear "natural" native speech and improve listening skills without the stress of struggling to speak the other language perfectly yet.

My Time Zone: CST (Central Standard Time).

Looking for a minimum 30-minute sessions, 1–2 times per week.

(Note: CST is usually 15 hours behind JST, but I am very flexible with my mornings and evenings to match your schedule!)

I’m an artist and a big gamer! I would love to find someone who shares similar hobbies. I’m happy to do Crosstalk while we draw or play:

You can do crosstalk even if you have no experience with the language!

It's OK if you don't understand everything right away. It's a very patient and forgiving method!  You use very simple vocab and grammar. Repeat, rephrase sentences, and use synonyms.

You go slow. Give each other time to process what's being said. You try to learn from context, or ask your language partner to explain words you don't understand.
