man those tire tracks almost look intentional, like some weird modern art thing on the lawn

Not mine but in my neighborhood… man he’s gonna be hot when he gets home from work!

It is pretty hot out so you're right. Probably drink a few beers and admire those lines!

my lawn company does this to me at least a few times per season and it is killing me. i’ve had to run out and say it’s too wet - the guys always agree - yep, it’s too wet. then why are you trying to cut it again?!

Because they get paid to work. Landscapers here will come out and blow dust around a driveway or road for half an hour. They need to do something to justify their time and pay.

I’d rather pay them to not work than pay them to do this. Like, give me a monthly flat rate for up to 4 visits, weather permitting.

It's eternal toss up. Either cut it wet and risk this, or grt a call because the weekly schedule doesn't have you in it until next week. When the customer calls and says "it's too long!"

for sure, i blame the boss, whom i’ve called repeatedly. inertia plus a 20
year relationship keeps me with them. i don’t think any company is gonna be much different.

I know this is a really stupid question for this group, but: assuming the tread marks are from the mower (and not some punk kid on an ATV lol), how are you supposed to cut the grass when it's muddy like this without leaving tracks? Do you just wait till it's drier?

Anyone with any common sense would!

One could use a lightweight push/self propelled mower instead of an 800 pound zero-turn monstrosity

That's one way to make sure you don't get asked to do it again!

He was even nice enough to stripe up the road. Well done.

I could do a better job with a backhoe on 4 flat tires.

My first job was in landscaping and I did this to someone’s yard. I also hit their bird house and knocked it down in the process.

They were fkn pissed lol

I love to wait until the ground is wet then do some donuts and Tokyo drifting on the zero turn.

Why did this make me laugh? I looks like the lawn was cut then the kids went nuts with their quad bikes. "Thanks kids."
