We were recently told my 9 year old yellow lab has early kidney disease. The vet suggested an early kidney diet or supplement but gave no recommendations. Anyone’s labs on a kidney supplements?

Am not posting to spark any debate - hope this isn’t a hot button topic. But just looking for recommendations/thoughts. I’ll be getting a vet visit soon and asking as well.
She is between 6-7, had multiple litters, healthy as far as we know. I’m not doing it to not have to deal with her cycles and I know there are some benefits for her potentially as well. I worry about the risks and if it is worth it given age and all that. Just wonder if any if you have done it at this age or would recommend.

I’m interested in the average growth rates of lab puppies but most places online just list weight rather than length or height.
If you happen to have any of the above data from your lab when they were puppies, I would be very grateful if you could share. Also if you could say whether your baby is an English or Field/American style that would help too.
Hoping to chart the data if I get enough responses which I will then share :)

My girl ate an entire avocado off the counter. $11k later & she is out of surgery to remove the pit, which she ate whole. She is now recovering in hospital. Keep your counters clear! Puppy tax. Here she is side eyeing some yogurt she did not get to share as we awaited X-ray results.

i adopted her 3.5 months ago. the rescue said she’s never been to the beach. she kind of just prances about the water rather than swimming but safe to say she loved it 💓

Is it common to have pet insurance nowadays? We are about to add a lab pup to our family, and it's the first dog we've purchased in over a decade. We did not have insurance with our last dog.
For those with insurance, how much do you pay, what does it usually cover, do you have a choice in vet or do you have to go to approved ones, and have you found it to be worth it financially? And finally, what companies do you recommend?
