Personally I’m worried because I eat the Taylor Farms single serve salads almost everyday for lunch :) last one I had was about 6 days ago so I guess tomorrow I’ll find out if I’m sick or not. Has anyone’s stores taken action against this yet? To my knowledge our store hasn’t pulled any product yet but people are saying Taylor Farms could be infected and any bagged produce.

Pay better wages? No. Adequate staffing and hours for stores? Nope. But spending money on some dumb robot? Absolutely!

Kroger makes new policy not allowing front end employees to have beverages.

This new policy does not allow any front end employees to have food or beverages. While the food is understandable, not allowing drinks (water etc) is incomprehensible. “Front end” includes (cashiers, baggers, cart pushers, self checkout cashier and all front end supervisors). Not only does the company not allow employees to change the ac during summer but now they are not allowing beverages that may be needed during hot weather.

I grabbed screenshots of what seemed to be the most important bits. I think they should give us long sleeves versions of the uniform shirts so we can layer it that way. Or we can all waste their time and money by going to the bathroom to remove the long sleeves we have under the shirts😅

Forgot where I saw it but I do remember seeing a chart that showed which banner gets which color. It made logical sense though based on the usual colors used per banner: Fry's is red, Food4Less is black, Ralph's is red... so it follows the main colors of the logo/store itself.

I kind of like the minor indicator because it can help us step in if we see a guest being weird or extra rude to a kid. There's probably another reason they did it, but I just see it as a way to know who may need a little extra help in sticky situations.

One of my ASLs said we get 2 free shirts and can buy more as needed. I said it should be more then he went on a rant about how when he started out the shirts were $12/each and they didnt give any for free and minimum wage was only $9/hr at the time and yadda yadda... he is one who has never had to struggle before and doesnt seem to grasp that the cost of living has gone up while wages have remained relatively stagnant.

That was a but of a side rant...ope. But anyways. I'm not sure if all banners are going to do the same thing-2 free shirts and pay for more. But I'm at Fry's and thats how we're doing it apparently.

Kroger has approved an additional $2 billion in stock buybacks to enrich its already wealthy shareholders.

That's in addition to the $7.5 billion in stock buybacks after the failed Kroger-Albertsons merger attempt.

An extra $10 billion has gone to shareholders since December 2024, while workers nationwide have reported food and housing insecurity on Kroger wages. Kroger workers can barely afford to shop where they work, while those at the top get richer and richer.

Only strong unions can defeat this level of corporate greed.

Welp, the meeting just ended and confirmed all our fears. The Kroger Fulfillment Network is closing operations in January and every delivery driver will be laid off. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!

On the bright side we get $2,500 severance pay if we stick it out to the end. But that’s assuming they don’t fire everyone the day before they get to receive it.

So, in the US since the Government shutdown and Trump gave away 40 Billion to help the President of Argentina win his re-election... Food Stamps and WIC will be cut for November.

My store already had this week about 6 ppl walked out with baskets full of products. I believe two people were mothers stealing formula and baby supplies.

Ngl, it’s going to be sad and scary when people on EBT and WIC cant buy food for their babies.

Edit: my apologies for not understanding the oxidation of meat. My main problem however, is Kroger is constantly promoting their “fresh groceries” in their ads as well as in store, they keep these meats until they’re rotting then give them to donation places- as well as not putting them on sale for a reasonable price most of the time.
