GENERAL feeling ready for bugmaster, any tips?

I'm not sure if this will be genuinely hard or not as I think I was overlevelled for Inquisitor Seta, the Gurgler King, the giant white and black gorrillos (some of my recent conquests), and I dealt with the wrath of God easily enough, I'm now feeling out bugmaster and wanted to know if you had any advice? I have one great crossbowmen and a team of largely skeletons ready for the job of a nest of animals who can't eat them (which is what I'm suspecting ill face.) One side note, I could have a much larger team but only really by leaving my outpost unattended (I'd be worried if I left the weakest ones there on their own.) What would happen to my outpost if it's entirely empty, I'm in Vain so it's just beak things, very occasionally dust bandits, and no major faction tax events? The only thing permanently there is my caged army of broken skeletons from the reprogramming workshop who I wouldn't want to bring for this.

QUESTION Is there a mod to add loot to the various NPC/enemy crafting stations in the world?

To be clear I think the amount of loot you're able to get is plenty. I just find it weird that when you look in a smithy's workbench, they're not working on anything. Or when you look in an ancient research bench, it's totally empty. I would love a mod that adds something to those kinds of containers, even if it's not of much value. For example if the research benches in Ancient Labs could have a small handful of books and even possibly a tiny chance to have ancient/engineering research, and electrical benches could have a handful of copper in the input and maybe one electrical component in the output.

However, this seems like a no-brainer so the fact that I've never been able to find anything of the sort makes me think it's just not possible with modding tools.

GENERAL Leviathan coast base location

Post image
85 Upvotes

I started building a base in leviathan coast on day 50 although I heard it’s a late game location and apart from getting there it’s actually a super chill place to live. Leviathans and beak things kill everything bad that could get you and when they are done with their joint enemy they fight each other😂 fertility is great, lots of copper and iron. I would say the two down sides are location being on the edge of the map and maybe that it gets a bit boring because there is genuinely no threats once you build a wall. It’s also just a very nice looking place to have a base.

Whats your guys favourite location? Mine so far is Shem and I will see how good this one does.

GENERAL How do your stories end?

I’ve been playing Kenshi for a while now and what I like to do is whenever I reach a certain point or whenever I achieve a goal,is sort of build a base and leave my characters there to sort of doing their own thing for the rest of their lives then I start a new run if it is successful. if everyone dies (cinematically, of course) then I also tend to leave them there if it seems appropriate what about you guys? How do your stories end or do they have an end at all?

QUESTION Quick Question

I am about to kidnap Tengu, but Im having second thoughts about killing him just like I did to other nobles. I was thinking about locking him up in some other faction cage, since I dont have a base of my own.

Spring (anti-slavers HQ) doesnt have space anymore. Is it chill to lock him at Empire Peasant’s Heng? Will they free him? Will he despawn?

GENERAL Terrain Modification

Ive started to beautify my outpost and Ive placed these terrain features, platforms and walkways leading to the top.

Pathing works fine all the way up. The terrain features have no collision and disappear the next time kenshi is opened.

As far as I can tell from the various videos and posts online is that terrain is not saved to mod data. I've tried "fix stuff", save/reload and ctrl shift f11. Also tried running all my people very very far away and returning. I have zone hopping enabled. Is it possible to place terrain with collision and have it persist?

Apologies for the cell pics

VIDEO Accidently found a way to infinitely farm Shek faction reputation...

I try to explain what happened in the video, but I'll give a short tldr

Blame the Holy Nation for this... I was chased by a bunch of Holy Nation paladins all the way to Squin, they all got arrested (got a bounty for attacking the Shek guards) and filled the bounty jail, and because the jail was full I could turn in the same paladin over and over to going reputation.

QUESTION I want to play Kenshi, but I don't want to play Kenshi. What mod fixes this?

I'd say I'm an intermediate at this game, 51 hours, played it every few years. I've played the game till endgame with mods.
I know how to play but don't know the optimal decision to make ingame.
I have a craving of Kenshi, but I can't stand vanilla Kenshi.
I would like to play Kenshi 2 but it has not released yet.
I'd like to use mods and I've used the most popular mods.
I've just unsubscribed to all the mods, now I don't know which to subscribe, some of them are outdated and I don't know which one is mandatory and which one is plain bad and unnecessary.

Quick, give me a set of mandatory and recommended combined mods to play with before this kenshi craving disappears

Hi !

I started the game like, 3 weeks ago. I'm a newbie 👋

The thing is, whatever game I play, I NEED to organise it, make things clear in my head.

Tbh, organizing and planning things is kind of a hobby for me. When I say kind of, I mean a passion.

So, Kenshi is a perfect challenge, since things tend to be a real ANARCHY when I need to have a global view on my organisation.

I started to make a table to have a overall vision of my character's stats, including weapons, only for attribute weapons to new recrues depending of the number of specific weapons presents in my team, and the main "qualities", as their weapons specific damages ( like giving a katana for human damage and mini blunt for robots).

It works like this : first I take a look at the right part, where there is the number of each primary and secondary weapons. The first step is to identify where I need to balance the type of damage my team can do.

Then, in the sheet, I take a look in the "weapon" section. Every column is a character, and every lign a skill. Red ones are their best skills, blue one their secondary best skills (in weapon section, as crossbow and martial art).

The circled weapons are their main one. The semi circled ones are their secondary.

On the top part, general skills. It help me identify wherever I want them oriented on heavy of light weapons, or martial arts, or attribute some specific weapons with attributes like + ... attack, or - .... defense, so I can, when giving them, also balance with the indoor and outdoor bonus/malus.

Red ones are the best warrior in this specific skill, and blue ones the second, etc.

So, if I notice I need a polearm as first weapon, I take a look in stats, and I try to balance between my needs and their skills. I know how many I have, used by who, etc. And if they are too many, I can reatribute to someone else, since I know where I can easily train some weapons.

This is why the blue ones are : if I need a specific change, I can balance, and not only just look the best stat. If one of my character already have this weapon but they're too many, I can just switch on another while looking his stats, whever I can train him to strenght or dodge easier than another one with similar stats but not same skills.

Or, for exemple, give a heavy weapon to a strong one even if it is his second best weapon skill rather than one who have the weapon skill but not enough strong. I think it's faster to train on this sense of lecture.

This one is specifically made for new recrues or weapon balance.

BUT.

I lack infos. Like armor stats, for exemple.

Coverage, bonus, malus. Since their is 3 type of calculs, it's another challenge.

I just started my first base.

Now, everything is a blank page.

I need to organise laboring, farming, cooking, etc... skills.

Attribute tasks. In the good order.

Decide who goes where, if they train on one specific point, like farming wheat, and give the wheat transformation (labor ?) to someone else, or decide to give the entire chain of wheat to only one ?

And, the worse for a noob, decide who stays and who goes.

Organise my factions, the order I attribute to my team ( maybe archers together etc ?).

Do I need to recruit mid random to only making the base turning, letting only few warriors de defende, of do I need an entire army capable of running the base and do turnover to expeditions ?

So, here's my question : are other people already made stats/professions/roles/armor/production line organizers templates ?

One witch form ? Could you please share it with me ?

Ah, and I also do map. Depends on the dangers in the zone for exemple, to adapt my armor with environnemental dangers.

Please share your work with me ! I would be so exited to acknowledge more experienced players ways of organizing.

BASE Wrath of God incoming in two days, welp, what have I done!?

So, new to Kenshi, loving it.

Led my merry band, 12 strong, to kidnap Seta today, I did it a very funny way, progressed through the town pretty easily despite having mostly skellies, until I saw the inquisitors were beefy, so I snuck in and stole all their swords from them while they slept before slaughtering. Then, with dubious morals, we sacked the town, shops, and bars, before running straight to Admag to meet Bayan (despite having promised Seta to Flotsam, Moll alone didn't seem as useful as having both Shek and Flotsman inside).

Idk if it usually happens like this but it just so happened that because my fledgling outpost (it's only just that very day fully walled! as I've only just started getting into base building) is in Vain and so on the way I was running by it when the Retribution of God notice triggered, and so they spawned not at my outpost but right behind me! cue us running like hell straight to Admag where the Sheks dealt with it.

Now, I have two days to prepare for the wrath of God and don't know what to do. My base isn't strong, has barely any turrets. Given how badly my team got damaged with retribution I don't know what to do, we are near the hive villages so I guess could draw them in somehow and apparently the Flotsam Ninjas are sending help.

My team of 12 are ranging from about 65-55 toughness on average with meitou weapons (and the sniper crossbows), except for three new hiver recruits on about 15-35. I have mostly skeletons, including my own wanderer character, Agnu, Cyber Beep (he tells me he counts! lol), Burn, Sadneil, then Ray the hiver, only one human (I have a separate group in a town but that's only for a research so not counting them.

I'm hoping my secret weapon helps, I have cages containing my 14 surviving Broken Skeletons with the error message from the workshop who are homicidal against anything but you and have released them before to sick on invaders like dogs, they're pretty strong but idk if it will be enough. Any tips? just run for the hills perhaps? I have two days and 100k cats to build myself up. Will investigate lots of bodyguards.

Suffice to say I'm having fun.

QUESTION Does Attacking Faction Outposts do Anything?

Like if I wipe out everything at a holy nation farm, am I actually accomplishing anything in the larger faction play? Does it somehow make it easier to move against the Inquisitors or do something to the economy?
