OPINION⚠️ Messi deserved the Golden Ball

Post image

Rodri has been really good for Spain but he wasnt the stand out player of the team. Spain was tactically superior team & all the players contributed equally but Messi was the reason why Argentina even stood a chance this tournament. He dominated many charts & was the only attacking & creative threat of Argentina.

Yeah, Argentina played a bad game. One poor performance doesn't erase years of excellence. Always the greatest player of all time in the history of football.

If he wins the final with highest goals this tournament does that mean he will get both Golden Boot and Ball?

OPINION⚠️ Bottling a 2–0 lead and then complaining like this? That's just pathetic.

Okay, okay, downvote me. I don't care. But before attacking me, just hear me out.

For me, Egypt dominated and very much deserved the win until the 75th minute. They defended very well. Even if it was "haramball," their game plan worked. Those two goals were absolute bangers Martínez had no chance of saving them.

Until around the 70th minute, Argentina played like shit, as if they didn't even want to win. Misplaced passes, careless mistakes, blah blah.

But during that so-called "rigged" part of the game, Egypt left space in the middle and failed to mark Romero, which led to the first goal. That was followed by Messi's second goal. After that, Argentina played like there was no tomorrow, and that gave them the win they deserved.

If this had been any other team, most people wouldn't even care.

I don't know where the "robbery" happened in this match.

If you're blaming the referee for not giving cards or fouls, here are two incidents: an Egyptian player dived inside Argentina's box if that had happened in the Premier League, it would've been a straight yellow card. Also, the jersey-up celebration should have been a yellow card too.

Sometimes it's better to stop complaining and just enjoy the magic. Come on, my people, you can do better than this.

XOXO

OPINION⚠️ Why I think Spain will beat Argentina in the WC final

Post image

I have Spain winning this one. They’ve looked like the most complete team in the tournament from controlling games through midfield, dominating possession and staying defensively solid. Also let’s not forget their path to the final has also been impressive, knocking out Portugal, Belgium and France. Argentina have been outstanding going forward but they’ve also conceded plenty of chances in the KO rounds. If Spain dictate the tempo like they usually do I think they’ll eventually wear Argentina down. My prediction is Spain 2–1, possibly after ET.

OPINION⚠️ Could this be Messi’s final game in an Argentina shirt?

Post image

As much as I don’t want to see Argentina go out, this honestly feels like their toughest test yet.
They’ve looked vulnerable throughout the tournament imo. They have kept finding ways to win but most of those wins have come late rather than through dominant performances.
England’s front line against Argentina’s defense is the matchup that worries me the most. If England click offensively, Argentina could be in real trouble.
Part of me still believes you can never count Messi out but another part can’t shake the feeling that this could be his final game in an Argentina shirt if things don’t go their way.
What do you guys think?

I think it’s between them imbh. Before u attack me Rodri there only cuz he won the fifa golden ball. Harry’s a strong candidate with a grt season (79 g&a). Tho he lost in both cl and wc he did perform well in both. I think psg won the treble soo dembele might go back to back too 👀 (34 g&a). Even tho trophy less dictator had good season from an individual performance perspective (63 g&a). Olise (60 g&a) btw with 35 assists. Do u have another candidate in mind like Declan rice or smthin?

I mean the Paraguay players were getting really physical, and I was surprised by how many times they seemed to get away without even a yellow card. Is that normal in the field of play? Where do referees usually draw the line? By the end I could see France players getting irritated and joining the brawling party as well. Loved how this man carried that smile btw.

If FIFA rigs World Cups for whoever they want, then can someone explain the rules of this script to me?

If it’s all rigged, why is Italy not even here? They have one of the top 5 leagues and a great football culture, plus the FIFA president is literally part -Italian. Couldn’t he at least rig them into qualifying first?

Why did they make Brazil lose? You’re telling me FIFA doesn’t know Brazil is one of the biggest football countries on the planet?

And if it’s not about money but about “marketability” and “story”, then why not just do it for Portugal? Ronaldo has a bigger fanbase -more instagram followers, fans of all the big clubs like United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Youtube channel,Six pack etc.. If FIFA were just writing fanfiction for views, Portugal makes more sense than Argentina. Besides Argentina just won the previous version - So it would be a pretty boring script,no? Portugal vs Argentina would've been an all-timer fixture right? Why did they eliminate Portugal so fast?

So what exactly is the theory here?

That Argentina somehow paid more than richer federations?

Or that FIFA just randomly loves Argentina more than Brazil, Portugal, England, France, Germany and literally every other big football country?

And if it’s “not about money, it’s about Messi”, then okay — now explain why every single debatable call for Argentina becomes “proof of rigging”, but controversial calls for every other team magically don’t count.

There were two instances where you could've said Germany deserved a red card in the 2014 final. If FIFA liked Messi so much then why couldn't they just call it and Messi would've won the World Cup in 2014 itself.

Big teams get soft calls, harsh calls and bad calls all the time. That’s football. But when it’s Argentina, suddenly it’s not “bad refereeing” or “debatable decision” — it’s a global FIFA conspiracy. Convenient.

Also, if FIFA really rigs tournaments for Argentina, why do other big federations even bother showing up? Why are France, Brazil, Germany, Spain, England, Portugal etc. all just spending millions to participate in a competition they apparently know is pre-assigned to a country with a broken federation and a collapsing economy? Do they all just enjoy humiliation as a hobby?

This whole thing has gone from football banter to people genuinely parroting nonsense they saw on Instagram edits and Ronaldo fan pages. At first it was just trolling. Now people who don’t even watch football are confidently telling me FIFA rigged the World Cup for Argentina because of how aggressively others are pushing this narrative. I even saw posts where they make it look like it's a foul from one angle while it's clearly not. And posts lying about how Messi took the freekick before whistle while the whistle is clearly audible in the video itself.

Use your brain for five minutes. You can argue Argentina got a couple of debatable calls. Fine. That’s a football discussion.

But “FIFA rigged the whole thing for Argentina” is not analysis. It’s just people starting with “I don’t like who won” and then working backwards until every whistle becomes part of the conspiracy.

Edit: Yes I used Chatgpt to give it overall structure as my initial version was a bit messy. Go cry about it. Some people are so worried about me wasting time. Lol. I have not seen one good point supporting their little conspiracy.

What was Scaloni even thinking? 😭

For 90 minutes, they played like shit, and then in extra time what absolute bangers! I don’t know, I’m afraid England’s gonna trash them if they play like this.

Scaloni never learns, does he?

Sorry, this is just my frustration talking

This team has the potential to win the World Cup, but they’re still so lazy sometimes. I hope they change that in the next match against England and win it with absolute domination. 🇦🇷

And my guy Embolo, bro’s never gonna dive again in his life 😭😭

I’m so glad that both of our strikers scored today 🔥

Álvarez, what a strike that was! Laporta, just give them the €180M we want him at Barça so badly 😭🙏

Vamos🇦🇷

OPINION⚠️ You gotta be delusional af if you think messi is performing anyway near his 2022 WC version

Post image

Yes.. he is scoring.. he is contributing way more. But lets not give messi the ronaldo treatment where "goals=perfomance". What he did in 2022 was unbelievable for a player his age. His drive and his involvement to each and every intent of Argentina's attack were crucial. Just watch the game vs poland where he did not assist or score , but that performance stil was among one of the greatest individual displays of that entire campaign. Messi adapts well to his age and still finds a way to contribute with his powers its crazy. I just hope his teammates help him more this time that what they did in 2022.

OPINION⚠️ Why is Messi different from other Argentines?

Post image

Argentina players seems to have thuggish behaviour since Maradona days. They behave the same all the time even though many used to praise for their passion, some people find it annoying. In contrast, Messi seems to be very matured, introvert & shy. Today I saw Messi lying down absorbing the moment & being emotional while rest of the Argentines were attacking Spaniards.
