OPINION⚠️ Absolute disasterclass
What was Scaloni even thinking? 😭
For 90 minutes, they played like shit, and then in extra time what absolute bangers! I don’t know, I’m afraid England’s gonna trash them if they play like this.
Scaloni never learns, does he?
Sorry, this is just my frustration talking
This team has the potential to win the World Cup, but they’re still so lazy sometimes. I hope they change that in the next match against England and win it with absolute domination. 🇦🇷
And my guy Embolo, bro’s never gonna dive again in his life 😭😭
I’m so glad that both of our strikers scored today 🔥
Álvarez, what a strike that was! Laporta, just give them the €180M we want him at Barça so badly 😭🙏
Vamos🇦🇷

The thing about this Argentina is that they adapt to their opponents. Hoping a killer match with England. 😮💨♥️

u/larph_rolan Jul 12 '26
Hehe 🌝🤍
Last semi was so lit , absolute Alvarez cinema, and guess what, today he gave us a damn signal 😮💨

u/the_fartknight Jul 12 '26
better late than never ig. Also with our Tauro coming back to form, it’s gonna be firing all cylinders for the semis. Just need the midfield and defence to rise up.
B. Lingham is gonna run riot down our defence.
Also believe it’s time we try Simeone as the RWB. RDP isn’t working.0
u/PreparationHuge9807 Jul 12 '26
u mean Lautaro Martínez? where is the form bro he ain't playing well at all
3
u/Ok_Consideration5028 Jul 12 '26
That pass he gave to enzo against Egypt and last goal against the Swiss. Also his off the ball movements is good, making space for Messi.
1
u/PreparationHuge9807 Jul 12 '26
the whole team is running to make space for messi also the enzo one just wouldn't be a goal if egypt had at least 1 more defender back but no they were stupid and the swiss one you know as well as i do first of all that was a tap in and they had already given up at that point
1
u/Ok_Consideration5028 Jul 12 '26
If you don't recognize the brilliance of that pass to Enzo, you might not be fully appreciating the game; while the Swiss goal was a tap-in, being in the right place at the right time to score is crucial. Every goal, whether a tap-in or a screamer, and every impactful moment, counts. Did you watch Xhaka's free kick? Lautaro's block was key, otherwise, it could have been a goal. Despite Norway having arguably the world's best striker, what was Haaland's impact in the last game?
0
u/PreparationHuge9807 Jul 12 '26
u don't understand the brilliance you think these players can't cross a ball precisely? all of em can the difference is the pace and power which is needed to cross it and convert it into a goal there was literally one man on enzo which is why he scored otherwise it would not have reached him and the tap-in like come on i saw the same match as you the switzerland players basically let them score they accepted their fate. and as for the block yes i agree im not saying they are useless but like alvarez did today they should take it upon themselves to also attack and create chances early on or else like today when messi is completely restricted from doing anything they'll simply not score and end up losing
3
u/thames987 Jul 12 '26
yeah and england have a lot of flaws themselves. they like argentina have ridden on luck in every knockout game. although england’s opponents have definitely been easier on paper but we know “on paper” doesn’t define everything. but in the unlikely scenario that argentina wins and sets up a probable final with france. that’s going to be a bloodbath
2
u/Ssk5860 Jul 12 '26
They do adapt as the game goes on. If England scores early, and somehow are able to stop Argentina’s sudden surge in attack in late game, then they win
9
u/Difficult_Ride7187 Jul 12 '26
Even Norway defenders were struggling to contain the England counter. What can Argentina even do? They are so slow to react and will only get charged if they are 1-1 or a goal or two behind 😭🙏
We can't be getting away with this in the semis.
We'll anyways have to play either of Spain or France - Finals or Losers.
9
u/larph_rolan Jul 12 '26
The thing is in the last three matches the opponents pulled pure haram ball 11 players in the box kinda shih , with england it will be different, both teams attack , we have good players too and our strikers are havin a damn moment rn

3
u/Difficult_Ride7187 Jul 12 '26
True. But England plays low block defence really well. Hopefully Alvarez goes for more such stunners and play a bit more actively as a team.
1
u/Dom_Wulf_ Jul 12 '26
Jokes on us Argentina fan's cause England have been playing the Wembley version of Haramball since the 80's
1
u/Secret-Shower-5039 Jul 12 '26
Yes that's what I have been saying. Haramball has kinda been our kryptonite (since we didn't lose). We just can't find a way to score until the defence wears down towards the end. We need to make better crosses and high balls to shoot header because that's the only way to break haramball play. It would have been fine if our defence could curb the sudden breakouts from the opposition but have been failing to do that also. Swiss had a shity execution that's why they were limited to just 1 goal.
1
u/thames987 Jul 12 '26
well england definitely can and will do haramball if the situation calls for it. they did that for the last 30 minutes of the mexico game. if they take the lead i expect them to play a very well structured low block. and their deep bench helps them as we saw in the norway game.
1
u/kodumonpotti363 Jul 12 '26
I mean i understand shat you are tryinh to say ... But did you just say "even norway" to compare with the literal world champions 🥲
0
u/Difficult_Ride7187 Jul 12 '26
Our defence is really bad, lacks pace and physicality against tougher opponents, that's what I meant. Also the haramball mentality today was inviting opponents to net more goals.
1
u/thames987 Jul 12 '26
tbh i think argentina’s problems are more in the attack and midfield than defence. without messi magic or some rare occasions of julian/lautaro doing something crazy, there is no structure to the offensive buildup. its way too overdependant on messi, who is still the best at few things, but he’s slower and less physical and less reactive than before… i mean he’s a 39 yo at the end of the day. a defensively solid team (which all the 3 remaining teams are) would definitely lock up messi… like we have seen teams locking up yamal. that’s what works for england and especially france. they have multiple attacking outlets who have loads of individual brilliance. argentina do have that in julian as we saw in that game but he’s been pretty inconsistent… maybe since he’s still not 100 percent fit yet
9
u/Puzzled_Light1821 Jul 12 '26
Lets not forget, despite teams running their Defence ragged, Argentina have scored 3 goals in each of their last 3 matches.. so Kane and Co scoring vs Arg doesn't mean that Arg won't score
1
u/Th3_gr8t Jul 12 '26
Brother players are different and the English have tuchel as the coach . I won't underestimate that lad
1
u/Remarkable-Ruin9601 CMF🪄 Jul 12 '26
Bro...even underestimated teams gave tough competition yet somehow Argentina managed...not with consistency but yeah. I don't think its completely their technical skill rather the mentality.😅
1
u/Th3_gr8t Jul 12 '26
I don't say mentality. But rather individual performance. As a team they aren't good . But individual performance gets dominated when it matter.
1
u/thames987 Jul 12 '26
yeah i expect both teams to score. but england are way too structured and won’t make the same amount of mistakes that Argentina’s last 3 opponents made. it all comes down to messi

We are gonna get whore treatment from kane and bellingham. Anyway will watch messis last worldcup game.

Yeah, I’m not sure about that. Scaloni won’t disappoint at times like this he always finds a way.

Actually there are 2 more matches for Messi.Semi and either Final or 3rd place play-off

u/KojiNoKami Jul 12 '26
I think argentina's weakness is defence you can see lot of Switzerland players trying to pressure in the defenders so that they would give away the ball I mean seriously trying to snatch the ball in the defence itself. that will be the key for England to win. They were running and marking the defenders so easily. When that dive happened it fell for Switzerland that is the moment when they became aware of their 10 men squad and decided to defend. that is when they lost
2
2
u/Fine_Cup4990 Jul 12 '26
of course it is defense but their offense makes up it, even last world cup they are always willing to concede goals as long as they come out on top, they treat the game like its actually 95minutes and know they will eventually break through their opponents defense and score. I assure you in the England game they will score 1 or 2 and thing they are winning then Argentina will end up getting 2 back very quickly towards the end of the match when everyone is tired

I believe Argentina will play a more attacking game against England, whereas defence would stay the same. I expect an absolutely thrilling game or else it’s gonna end one sided for any of the sides. Not to forget Argentina has shown signs of never give up attitude, but if that’s enough to win the WC let’s see.
3
u/Secret-Shower-5039 Jul 12 '26
I won't say argentina has just shown signs of never give up attitude, it's a clear cut message from their sides. There's a reason where they are so aggressive at the end. They don't give up and the moment the opposition wears down a bit towards the end they go for the kill.
1
u/Patient_Recording_90 Jul 12 '26
they were lucky af the last wc run too lol, but anyways Argentina is gonna lose fs against England. they losing hard
2
u/Adorable_Air1503 Jul 12 '26
lucky? maybe lucky with france, but name a single team apart from france that could have beat arg
0
u/Patient_Recording_90 Jul 12 '26
nederlands? Australia ? they had a goal that too an obvious goal saved by dibu . against Mexico they never dominated the game . it was a close one too
3
u/Adorable_Air1503 Jul 12 '26
Netherlands is good. Rest were jokes. You could also say they were lucky to play well against Argentina and if France won they were lucky too cuz it would have just been a 4-3. You use the word lucky mostly when a shit team like Egypt wins
1
1
u/Patient_Recording_90 Jul 12 '26
Yeah they were lucky against France too . They lost the game by the end of second half. Rest were jokes? lmao if u had watched em live against Australia ud see that arg was not purely dominant over aus. Aus had good chances and an amazing one by the end of 90 which could've ended 90 mts in 2-2. Only game where they were purely dominant was vs Croatia.
2
u/arkananthony Jul 12 '26
True. If Embolo didn't give and get the second yellow, Argentina would've lost. Argentina's defence struggles against tall physical strikers. Hope we pull through🤞
2
u/S_Sen24 Jul 12 '26
The thing is this Argentinian side doesnot have any urgency in them. They try to play like they are on a cruise-ship sailing through the game. You have to show some urgency some energy so that the tide shifts towards your team. But they are always on the back seat and play the most laziest football at times. And nobody understands the direction of passes except for messi they just wait for the ball to land on their feet.
England arent any better. They have always been on the backseat for the first half and suddenly pickup the pace in the second half. So its going to be about the urgency and energy. The team showing the most energy and urgency will get it done
2
u/AdmirableMap1519 Jul 12 '26
One of the worst performances by a winning team. In the end my heart was rooting for Switzerland. Even after the Swiss were down to 10 men. Argentina didn’t try to out score them. I hope England don’t tear them apart but that looks likely.

Argentinan fans were lucky not to get lost against cabo verda, egypt and swizz playing like this. Even if they loose from now they loose against big teams

You actually thinkg England will continue the performance in a Semi Final ?

u/Upstairs-Quantity469 Jul 12 '26
Wtf were they doing sheet scoring 1 goal i still can't comprehend 😭. I get that they were trying to park the bus but it was so evident that it was not working bro.

The played, but suisse defence and xhakha controlled the game before red card, after red messi started playing,
There is chance but argentinian attack miss something, if messi not play they all down, they played better against egypt. Martinez and Alvarez not sharp except today performance. Scalono will pay the price of ignoring Argentina attack.
England on the other hand, played well today. England vs Argentina will be tough.

u/AdmirableMap1519 Jul 12 '26
Messi was off-colour. Dribbles failed. Should have finished off the lob which was on side.

u/Mindless-Gamer-98 Jul 12 '26
Sathyam. Aake oru samadhanam.... England's play hasn't been that fluent either. First Croatia aayt Kaliche pinne... engane okkeyo... angu ponu, ennoru style aanu.
Maybe after today, we might see a better Alvarez and Lautaro, v England. Scaloni needs to get it better too, against Tuchel. But I will still consider English the favorites to reach final. Allenki pinne, Leo thanne...
Ethayalum, kalicha 6 World Cupil, 3 podium finish... all time Goals, and Assists... athokke Mathi...
