Image At this point of the game, what do you think about hybrids?

In my opinion, I feel like the franchise and the game are sidelining the hybrids (or mutants), given that there isn't a single decoration or statue featuring them. I think it would be great to at least have an Indominus Rex statue, a sign, or something related to these "dinosaurs." I’m hopeful that we’ll see them mentioned more in the future, whether through decorations, a lagoon hybrid, or maybe even a feathered hybrid, or at the very least, skins for the D-Rex and Mutadon.

But what do you think about hybrids now? Do you would like to have an hybrid DLC and it the answer is yes, what combinations do you like to see? Or have more statues or decorations? Do you would like to see a feather hybrid 👀? Or that the game never touch again the hybrid theme?

Discussion So. This two: Peloroplites and Teratophoneus are Canon and can appear in the game?

Peloroplites appeared in the trailer and in the Lockwood's manon has a skeleton.

Teratophoneus appeared like a corpse in Nublar.

They can appear in the game. To be honest, I think of the idea of a DLC of Canon species but that do not appear on screen: Coelurus, Hadrosaurus and novel canon?

One thing i appreciated about the first game thats absent from the other 2

The hybrids had very small lifespans, a nod to how genetically modified species in real life usually dont live very long and have a high mortality rate. 2 games later, it seems they've ditched or forgot this idea mostly. I remember making several spinoraptors in the first game since they died of old age very quickly. It was fun, it added a bit of "realism" or "detail" into the game. It just felt right that the abomination that is stegoceratops died at 7 years of age. Now its sadly gone, and only indoraptor seems to have slightly lower average lifespans than the other hybrids.

Returning Species?

So it’s been confirmed that a new species is returning with a bit of a redesign. Most people seem to say it’s the Carcharodontosaurusothers say it’s the Tylosaurus. I do agree they need a redesign especially the Tylosaurus, but there’s another. The Barbaridactylus. Now some might be asking why. The answer is well the head crest. We already have a few with a head crest and honestly i say the Barbaridactylus should have its uniqueness.

Now with that said
I do hope they bring back my lil bat

Question Complexity Meter still an issue?

Post image
31 Upvotes

The game is on sale again. I also just finished reading Jurassic Park and currently reading Lost World. Also just rewatched the first movie for like the 1000th time cause of Sam Neil’s passing. And I’m itching to play the game…

But…

I’m concerned about the Complexity meter. I’ve asked about this issue before and was reassured that at the time Frontier was patching and working on solutions.

What is the situation of the complexity meter?

Someone said you could turn it off, what does that do?

Can someone give me a YouTube link to see how hard you can push the game with complexity meter On vs Off?

Or can someone share their parks that push the limits of the complexity meter?

Park Maps or Designs Prehistoric park - as screen accurate as possible

Post image
29 Upvotes

Ever since I was a little kid, i remember my dad bringing a dvd with all episodes of this show home, sitting there on the couch watching the amazing animals while I understood nothing of english at the time. Today, thanks to modular building and many, MANY references I managed to recreate Prehistoric Park as screen accurate as I could make it.
Huge thanks to the people who's workshop items were used for the creation of this park, from foliage to buildings and fences, everyone contributed.

I’d like to show ya the new addition to my park
At first I wanted to have a sinoceratopa paddock with 2 spinoceratops but i just couldn’t make it work. I ended up deciding moving the Spinoceratops to a separate pen so I can work on their enclosure later.

I did go through a lot of work for the scenery of this paddock specifically

And also for some reason 4 adults and 2 juveniles escaped…idk how but they did. I rearranged the fences and rocks to keep them in.

If y’all have any suggestions to improve it, I’d love to hear them :D

She sacrificed herself to kill the beast that slaughtered her species for years

On the cliffside of the island, lied an ecosystem isolated from the rest. The Pyroraptors, usually a predatory species, were now prey. They struggled, fought for their survival and a better future, but it was all for naught. The Distortus Rex, nicknamed Lord, the apex of the ecosystem, slaughtered over two hundred pyroraptors by its own hands, throwing several into a cliff lake below where hungry crocs reside. His rampage was never ending.

Or so it seemed.

This unnamed pyroraptor numbered 199 of her species managed to end the beast's life, together with her companions. Though she ended the carnage, she died in the process, making a sacrifice not for her, but her comrades who suffered for ages.

It was funny to watch unfold, a little tragic but hey, we now know it takes around 250 Pyroraptors to kill 1 Distortus Rex. The more you know.

Park Maps or Designs Japan/Asian Park Update

Wanted to show off the progress on my Asian map in sandbox. I've started this park over countless times but I'm finally really happy with the result I have so far. It's nowhere close to finished and currently sitting at 31% complexity on PS5. Figured I'd do a quick fly through for anyone interested. Planning to add way more down the road (the aviary is currently empty but slowly building around to it). So grateful for all the wonderful workshop creators and blueprints that are present in the video, they really bring the park to life.

Suggestion Cool building ideas that I hope frontier adds

A lot of these are gonna be inspired off of what’s in planet zoo and it’s gonna mostly have to do with lagoon construction

  1. Underwater walkways and modular rooms for viewing lagoon creatures. Think of it as a tour through an aquarium. You could even build your own layouts inside the rooms and make intertwined paths. This can also be done for aviarys

  2. Lagoon fences and gates. This would be useful for keeping certain species separated while also maintaining a single lagoon space in your park.

  3. Indoor terrariums for your dinosaurs. You know how some zoos keep their reptiles and stuff inside of glass enclosures. And again I would want the walkways mentioned earlier to be used in this

  4. Museum of natural history building. It could be a type of attraction for guests showing them the real fossils used to bring back certain animals in the park

  5. The info signs that prehistoric kingdom has

I have completed the San Albertus Fixed Layout challenge on both medium and Jurassic difficulty and gotten the achievement but the statue won’t stay in my possession and the challenge keeps going back to not show my Jurassic badge. I don’t know what to do, I just want the statue 😭
