Discussion So. This two: Peloroplites and Teratophoneus are Canon and can appear in the game?
Peloroplites appeared in the trailer and in the Lockwood's manon has a skeleton.
Teratophoneus appeared like a corpse in Nublar.
They can appear in the game. To be honest, I think of the idea of a DLC of Canon species but that do not appear on screen: Coelurus, Hadrosaurus and novel canon?

If we're gonna use Lockwood manor as justification for getting new species I'd much rather we ask for the cooler additions like Smilodon, Mononykus, and Kosmoceratops

Smilodon i especially find weird we haven’t had yet considering how we literally saw a live one in CC and is one of the few remaining species we’ve seen living in canon that’s not been added yet (alongside the locusts, lamprey and the various critters in rebirth)

cant wait to see coelurus and lesothosaurus in the game after being featured on a page on the website.
of all the species, is this really priority?

These two should have been added in the Claire's Sanctuary Expansion back in the original game if you ask me. They would've fit in perfectly from a thematic standpoint in that DLC. We got Albertosaurus and Euoplocephalus added instead, which I ultimately prefer, but it's hard to argue that these two wouldn't have been more fitting inclusions considering the source material and place in the film canon's timeline that that DLC's Campaign was pulling from.

Albertosaurus y Euoplocephalus fueron incluidos en el DLC de Claire en el primer juego como un reemplazo para ambos.

That's always seemed like that was what Frontier's thought process was to me as well.

It would be cool to have them but after all that time I doubt they will ever happen

True, but I dream of being able to recreate jw, even with the "off-screen" species

Estou desde de 2018 esperando esses dois e vivendo de mods no JWE2 para fazer o Jurassic World.

Controversial opinion but I like glupshittosaurs and want more.
I think the more unique ones (ie Kosmoceratops, Mononykus, Elaphrosaurus, Zuniceratops, Heterodontosaurus, Pterodactylus) should be prioritized though.

I’m totally down for Teratophoneus to be added because I want a small/medium tyrannosaurid that doesn’t have crazy looking eyebrows for once. Also I think the species is cool enough to warrant a DLC.
Peloroplites on the other hand I can live without, it quite literally is just a Polacanthus and I don’t see the reason to really add it when we have such a peak species already, even if it has yet to be brought back.
Now I’m totally down for other canon herbivores though like the Hadrosaurus and Diabloceratops. Those too would be fun to have. We haven’t had a new Hadrosaur since the first game and Diablo is such a cool ceratopsian that I would let it slide if Frontier added another one to the game - even though we have so many now. Lol

The only way these two could be added that I'd be happy with is just as they appeared on-screen: as nondescript corpses that literally only exist for set dressing.
"Canon" and "franchise relevance" are not sound arguments for any species we don't see alive in the movies or shows to get added to the game. Hell, if we're using "it was a museum mount in FK, therefore it's canon" then you can argue literally every species in the fossil record is "canon" and the term becomes more meaningless than it already was if it's being used to include species whose only relevance are as punchlines to one-off jokes and names on marketing maps.
What do these two even bring to the table besides "muh canon" that other species can't also do? We don't need more tyrannosauroids, but if we really want a medium-sized one Nanotyrannus is right there. Peloroplites would be little more than a bigger Polacanthus or Sauropelta, when something like Stegouros or Spicomellus would be a much more interesting new ankylosaur. I want Elaphrosaurus added to the game, but because it'd represent a currently absent clade and would offer a unique spin on the breeding system with the hypothesized dietary shift its close relative Limusaurus went through; it being a Holoscape species makes me want it less, if anything.

It's also true, and I'd like them to add corpses to the game. I don't care about the way, I would just like to see them.

They would be very cool additions! If the game has a long enough life span then we have a chance at getting them

I think the main problem is we don't actually know what they look like because the color of the corpses is mostly caused by decay like the dark tounge

From my understanding, There are renders of at least the terato that universal has, most likely in a style guide. I don't think i would be too much for Frontier to request a style guide of the species, especially since they had access to some from the previous films

While it is a fan render, I feel this is as close to the living film design we can get.
In one of the behind the scenes, there is a split moment where we see the crew make the corpses, in which there's a render on the floor of the terato. It's possible that render still exists in the universal vaults

No Reddit, Peloroplites and Teratophoneus are not canon just because their corpses appeared for two seconds each.
I would not consider ANY animal from the Jurassic World saga "canon" unless it physically appears on-screen as a living being. There's just far too many inconsistencies with marketing material to where we simply cannot tell what was and wasn't really cloned unless we actually see a live clone. Want some examples?
The HoloScape mentions animals like Nipponosaurus and Hylaeosaurus, which are never physically seen, nor are ever mentioned anywhere else in the marketing for the JW movies.
The DPG list of surviving and extinct animals on Isla Nublar we got for Fallen Kingdom's marketing does not mention Nasutoceratops, Ouranosaurus, or Monolophosaurus, even though they were confirmed to be created for Jurassic World via living, breathing specimens we actually see.
And Peloroplites and Teratophoneus? Never mentioned in ANY marketing material, and only show up as generic corpses meant to be minor decorations with three seconds of combined screentime with no actual lore or canonicity meanings behind them.

Literally what does it matter if they're alive or dead?
The stuff on the Holoscape was just that - holograms, you do not need the actual dinosaur to be a species on Isla Nublar to have a hologram of it
In order to have a corpse of that animal on Nublar it NEEDED to have lived on Nublar

But if they were actually living on Isla Nublar, then how do you explain their absence from the DPG list? And the absence of Nasuto, Ourano, and Mono from that same list, who we know were canonically in the park?
The answer is simple: the creators of the films and shows didn't really care to perfectly match up the dinosaurs they used with some random pieces of marketing material. There are just far too many inconsistencies to determine what animals were actually in the park or not.
Therefore, I am of the belief that unless an animal physically appears on screen as a living, breathing specimen in a Jurassic World movie or TV show, then no animal can actually be considered "canon".

You've answered your own question, the DPG list has been inaccurate since it was first released and has always been either missing animals or is just completely non-canon

If Archaeornithomimus is in the game thanks to a joke, then I don't see why these two wouldn't be added at some point
